"Alright class dismissed. Ladies and gentlemen I would like to remind you that the deadline to submit your essay will be next Monday, please be punctual, or we shall meet again in this class the next semester."
With that, the brunette lecturer briskly turned and exited the lecture hall. Jason couldn't help but to have his eye following her image until her presence disappear from the hall.
Days had been mundane, and everything more or less remains stagnant since high school. Jason had been in college for one year now, and he was not sure whether he was enjoying himself. Academic performance and difficulties do not appear on the line in Jason's books. But interaction with another human felt harder than mining coal with a plastic spoon. With such pathetic skills in relating to others, Jason is still amazing that life had been kind to him, he never really got bullied or given any hard time throughout his life, it had been a long smooth and boring sail his whole life.
Jason started to pack up his bag, tucking his notes and computer into his bag, and headed to the car park. The campus ground is vibrant with life; youth is shining as bright as the noon sun. The jocks from football club are showing off their enticing physique, trying to win over the heart, or more. Jason quickened up his pace, hopped into his car. Immediately after he closed his car door, high phone rang, the display of his phone showing 'dad'.
Joshua Finn, Jason's father, had always been Jason's role model. Jason could almost remember every single word from his father ever since his memory is formed as a child. Being the CEO of a real estate company, his speech had always been presidential, filled with authority and somewhat magically captivating. Never once in his life Jason is able to turn away when his father speaks. His word was like a magnet and his audience the metal piece; it is almost natural and soothing to listen to him.
"Hello dad how's your day?"
"I'm good, buddy. Look, I need you to drop by my office, there's something really important that I need to tell you, we'll talk about it when you arrived. See you, son."
Jason entered through the main glass door of the office, and was immediately greeted warmly by the lady at the reception.
"Mr. Finn, your father is expecting you, please follow me." Jason found himself blushing uttered his greeting, looking at the gorgeous receptionist. She led him to his father's office and was greeted by another even more gorgeous lady, sitting next to his father's office.
"Hi, you must be Jason. I'm Rebecca, your father's secretary. You father often speaks very highly of you."
Jason found himself looking at a being, even more perfect than the one that lead him. Jason was swallowing hard at this point, eyes feasting on the lady in front of him, standing at 170cm, auburn silky hair tied up into a bun; a pair of 36D breast tightly wrapped up in a white blouse, showing ample amount of cleavage, with her dark lacy bra too difficult to go unnoticed beneath her faint color blouse, with an almost see through texture; her full and rich buttocks held in place by a knee high straight skirt in crimson red; finished with a pair of slender and extremely long legs cloaked under black nylon.
Jason could not help but to feel a certain body part drawing more blood than usual. And an uncomfortable bulge at his groin is becoming visible. He frantically lower his backpack in attempt to cover his member, not wanting to show a lack of manners. Jason was sure for a split second, he saw something different from Rebecca's face; an expression he was not accustomed to. She opened the door and brought Jason into his father's office.
His father was standing by the full length glass window, gazing down at the heartbeat of the town, from 20 stories above the ground; slowly sipping the caffeine he held in his hands.
"Sir, Jason is here." Rebecca broke the silence.
Joshua turned around and greeted his son with a smile. Joshua is somewhat in his 50s', standing tall at the height if 180cm, very well-built for his age, not even a trace of pot belly, thick eye brows, a mane of pepper and salt brown hair and a pair of large glassy blue eyes.
Rebecca excused herself and left the Finn's in the room. Jason casually sat down at his father's desk. Joshua, walked toward his desk, put down his coffee mug, sat down and opened his drawer, retrieving a clear crystal flask, with a bright silvery content almost with the color and consistency of mercury. The content were reluctantly at rest, swirling in its container slowly showing signs of life; the crystal of the flask, reflecting and refracting the surrounding light, displaying image of iridescence.
"Son, the time is ripped, and you are moving into adulthood and shall bear the secrets of our family." Jason listened in disbelieve, never in his life he would have thought there were secret kept in this family.
"This secret that I now pass down to your as your father, in the same you shall pass down to your future descendants likewise when they reach adulthood. No one shall ever put these secrets into written words, but only verbally, from father to child.'' His father instructed sternly, followed by a whole long list of twenty ingredients and the brewing steps.
"Now, drink this." his father handed him the chemical filled flask. Jason found his stomach churning, with a tornado of emotion inside himself. A huge part of him is paralyzed in fear, of the unknown, mysterious and hazardous looking chemical in the flask; the remaining part of his person knew he could not disobey his father. He took the flask, opened it and finished it in a gulp. The solution is cold and minty, with a tinge of sweet and sour.
Immediately, Jason felt different, it is as if the fog in front of his eyes clear, and the world now look extremely clearer compared to a few seconds ago. "Are you alright son?" Joshua asked.
"I'm great dad, I feel awesome." Jason replied.
"7 generations ago during the Great Witch Hunt, our ancestor Eric Finn saved one of the witch that the people intended to burn to death. In return, the witch married him and contributed to our bloodline, her name is Elizabeth Scarlet. They lived happily ever after in a small and remote village. Before her life came to an end, she revealed her secret to her children at her death bed, teaching her blood and flesh her recipe of the Potion of Persuasion. And from thereafter, this secret had been passed down from generation to generation, and now from me to you." Joshua paused slightly for his son to absorb the bizarre information.
"Dad, you mean the silvery solution you gave me is the potion? Why are you doing this? What monster have you turned me into?!" Jason is speaking in a rather angry tone now. To his surprise, he never once raise his voice against his father, he was surprise where the courage arise from.
"Son, I know it's a bit difficult to digest all that I had just thrown at you. Take your time, don't rush it." Joshua was trying to remedy the damage done. Jason felt cheated, betrayed. He stormed out the office, ran to his car, and drove off home.
During his journey home, images of all the great things he was enjoying was given by his father, he began to regret to have behaved in such rude manner earlier on. Without him even realizing, he was speeding at 160 km/hour in his deep thoughts, only coming back to focus when he heard the siren. When he looked at his meter, 160km/h, "oh great" he thought.
