This is my first ever story so feedback and thoughts are appreciated! I do plan on continuing this series with a few more entries.
Also please note this is pure fantasy, respect women and always follow consent in real life. But that doesn't mean we can't have some fun in imagination land so long as no one is getting hurt.
I stepped out of my Subaru onto the hot pavement and wiped my brow. It was a scorcher, mid-july, and over a hundred. Lucky my air conditioning worked, else I'd be sweated through. I moved quickly towards the apartment building I owned. I didn't want to stay in the heat and end up soaked. I had my anniversary dinner with Kali tonight and I had on a special surprise for her underneath my high waisted jeans and button top. The jeans made me feel slender and made my hips and ass really pop. I had both but they could use some help. The top was professional but hugged me just enough to show off the curves I had up top. Respectable, though not enough to cause me back problems.
I arrived at the inner doors of the apartment and felt for the keys... AND I left them at the office. Of course I had. I glanced at the time. 3:23. No way could I go back to the office, come back here and address the tenant's concern before I needed to be home to meet Kali for dinner. I turned to the buzzer and looked up David. Fortunately, his plaque was new and shiny. He'd only been here a few months and the gremlins that seemed to drain the energy of this place hadn't yet made it to his name it seemed.
I pressed the buzzer. A moment passed. I pressed again. Nothing. I bit back my impatience and pulled up my phone. I found the text from David mentioning there was a weird sound and asking if I could check it out. Most landlords wouldn't have cared about such a small complaint but me and Kali hadn't found the success we had by ignoring the little things. Even if that did mean there were always more little things to do. I sighed. I needed tonight. I needed a break.
I shot David a text asking him to buzz me in. I waited. Patiently... Completely at peace... Totally without checking the time every five seconds... Well, I waited anyway. After only a few minutes, I got a text back from David.
"Sorry, just saw this. Gimme a buzz and I'll get you in"
Thank you, the miracle of technology - I thought. I buzzed David. I heard the intercom
fuzz on.
"Ella.. erm.. Ms Laquez?" A voice asked
Annoyance started to form at the unnecessary question. Didn't he already get my... DRIP DRIP DRIP. I... what... my... my message!
"Letting you in now." David said.
I shook myself. Man did I need to relax. I was really mad over nothing right now. I walked into the building and towards David's apartment, not knowing I had already set foot in a trap I would not escape.
I arrived at David's apartment door having soothed my annoyance a little. It wasn't even 3:45 yet and surely an "odd noise" wasn't an hour long problem. I could be back in plenty of time for Kali and I to get all dolled up and head out to dinner. Maybe even with a little teaser before dinner for what the rest of the evening would hold.
Before I could knock on the door I saw Jessica Benson walking by. She had been a resident for years already and was a quiet and shy type. I'd maybe said eight words to her, across all that time. But today. She smiled at me and waved. Her red hair in a ponytail and her usually baggy clothes replaced with a daring pair of suspenders that showed off her impressive ass and a sports bra that covered her small tits.
"Hi Ella!" Jessica said "Give David a kiss for me"
I opened my mouth for a consternated reply but before words could navigate from surprised to appropriate and out of my mouth. DRIP DRIP DRIP.
I blinked. Jessica's door was closing. Had she... Said something weird? Or maybe she had just had an interesting summer. It had been... months since I'd seen her last. People changed. I shrugged and knocked on the door.
David opened the door. DRIP DRIP DRIP. A tall dad bod type with oak tinged skin. The shade, not the texture. His skin looked soft.
I shook my head a little. "I'm sorry I missed what you said over the dripping? Is that the sound you called to complain about?"
David grinned a wide grin. A cheeky grin. A grin, college me would have broken my heart on. A grin, married me filed away under
fantasize about this in the safety of home while Kali is gone on a long work trip.
"Why yes it is actually. This dripping sound has been happening all week now." David said
"Where is it coming from?" I asked
"That's the thing I'm not sure." Said David
"May I come in and have a listen?" I asked
"You'd be doing me a favor" grinned David. That grin.
I stepped into the small apartment. The living room had barely enough space for a small table and loveseat. The kitchen, right beside it, separated by a bar counter, was even smaller. A hallway lead to the right. to a bedroom, closet, and bathroom. I paused, waiting for the sound to come again.
"Aside from the sound how is the place treating you?" I asked distracted
"Oh, it's been great. I searched long and hard to find somewhere with acoustics just like these." Said David.
"Are you a..." DRIP DRIP DRIP
I lost track of the conversation trying to hear the source of the sound. Maybe the kitchen? Then my mind caught back up. I had trailed off and... He had responded right?
"I'm sorry," I said. "What did you say?"
David grinned. That grin. "I asked what you were saying?"
"Oh" I blushed. I really needed this week to be over. "I was asking if you were a musician?"
I stepped towards the kitchen as I spoke, again pausing to listen for the next drip.
"No, I'm a sound designer actually" Said David
"Sound engineer." I asked
"Designer" David grinned "I contract with the military to help design sirens and tones for alerts and even some sonic warfare."
