So there was the beautiful Doreen Draper, a beautiful English blonde with a crisp, almost musical English voice, sitting across from her therapist in a plush, comfortable chair in his plush, comfortable office. And while her therapist was quite handsome and comfortable-looking himself, what with his dark hair and easy smile, she was not quite at ease.
"You wanted to discuss your relationship with your boyfriend?" said the therapist.
"Yes," replied Doreen. "I'm afraid things haven't been going too well lately."
"And why is that?"
"He thinks I've been cheating on him. Can you imagine?"
"Well, you haven't been cheating on him--have you?"
"Of course not!" said Doreen. "But he keeps saying that I'm cheating on him without knowing it! It's ridiculous!"
"Just how does he believe you are cheating on him without knowing it?"
"He says I'm being hypnotized to cheat!"
"And who does he think is hypnotizing you to cheat?"
"He never says who's doing it," said Doreen. "He just keeps saying that whenever we're not together, I could be triggered into a trance by some stranger who's hypnotized me before. Then, when the stranger's done with me, he brings me out of hypnosis with no memory of having been fucked, or being hypnotized, or anything else. It's--it's the stupidest thing I've ever heard!"
"So," said her therapist, "why do you think he's making these accusations?"
"There's only one reason I can think of," said Doreen. "He's looking for an excuse to cheat on me, so he's accusing me of cheating on him!"
"You're certain of this?"
"Certainly!" said Doreen. "I mean, there can't be anything to this hypnosis silliness--can there?"
"It may seem far-fetched, but it's not the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard," said her therapist. "You wouldn't be the first person hypnotized into cheating on their mate."
"So--it is possible?"
"There is one way to find out--if you're game."
Doreen took a deep breath. "What do I have to do?"
"Just relax," said her therapist as he pulled out a laptop from a pocket on the side of his chair. He opened the laptop and pushed a few keys, then pushed a few more. When he was finished, he showed the laptop's screen to Doreen.
On the screen was a continually swirling image of rainbow lights. Doreen watched as the colors swirled around and around on the screen, merging and changing with each passing moment. Doreen found herself fascinated by the colors...captivated by the colors...felt her breathing become deeper and deeper...her body becoming more and more relaxed...her eyes becoming heavier and heavier...and before she realized it, her eyes were closed...yet she could still see the swirling spiral of colors.
"Doreen--do you hear my voice?"
"Yes," replied Doreen in a soft, sleepy voice.
"Where do you hear my voice?"
"Inside my mind."
"Listen carefully, Doreen. You are in a deep, beautiful trance. You are completely receptive to all my suggestions--completely willing to do whatever I ask. You know that whatever I suggest will be completely therapeutic and assist you greatly in resolving all your problems. You know this to be true, don't you Doreen?"
"Yes."
"Well--all right," said her therapist with a smile. "Now--I'm going to ask you a question, strictly for its therapeutic value. How do you feel about--fellatio?"
