Kelly Howard was the only teller on duty.
The bank manager was out and security was in the break room in the back having lunch. The bank hadn't been busy recently do they cut down on the tellers on duty to save money.
Kelly sat down with her coffee and turned around in her chair. Kelly was startled to see 4 people clad in insulated coveralls, gloves, skull caps, sunglasses and face masks.
It was hard to determine height, weight, or gender. No identifying marks.
The one standing infront of the counter made no sounds they just slipped forward a note.
"Fill our bags with money from the counter or we will blow you and everyone in the building to hell"
Kelly, stared at the paper. The money was insured. She filled the 3 bags with all the money. She pressed the police alert button.
The four people quickly took the bags and left the bank. Kelly watched in amazement as one by one they jumped up placed on hand to the fence post and vaulted over in a smooth graceful movement.
They pulled off the skull caps, removed the sunglasses then unzipped the insulated coveralls and shucked off the boots. They gathered up the gear and put them into the empty lockers.
The four women were 18 to 19 years old. They wore black stretch workout pants and hoodies with the Martin High School logo embossed on the back. They were fit, firm, and athletic. They were short all between 5 foot 2 to 5 foot 4 inches. They removed the bandanas they had been using as masks and placed them in their pockets.
In the distance they heard the sirens of the police car. The girls crossed the street to the village green. Across from the green, Martin High School had been released for half day and the 4 girls blended in with assembled students. The girls got on the arriving school busses and waited.
Across the street the police had rounded up the construction workers who were at lunch and saw nothing unusual.
