"Ugh," Shauna moaned as she looked herself over in the full-length mirror. "I hate this!"
Heather moved beside her and put a comforting hand on her shoulder. "Why?" she asked. "You look amazing!" She gently 'forced' Shauna to really look at herself - the beautiful dark-haired woman in the deep purple minidress that hugged every curve of her body - and playfully licked her lips. "I'm tempted to skip class and throw you back into bed!" she teased.
Shauna looked at her reflection. The dress was short enough as it was, but adding the belt cinched it up about an inch shy of violating the dress code. At least her black pantyhose allowed some hint of modesty, but the whole look was...almost corporate. Her mother would no doubt approve, which was a good thing as it was one of her dresses they'd pilfered to find something suitable to wear. Not a hint of lace or an overabundance of jewelry, and the simple black flats seemed so out of place, but Heather had insisted the shoes complimented her outfit and helped tie it all together.
"At least you're stylish," Heather twirled around in front of her. "I feel like a total slut in this getup!" Shauna found herself hard-pressed to disagree. They'd rummaged through all Shauna's outfits until they found a camisole top just a size too small that Heather's body just barely squeezed into. Black, naturally, yet Heather's pink bra almost worked with it, given that the cami barely concealed it. They'd grabbed a pair of scissors and done some early morning work on the jeans she'd worn over the night before, converting them into shorts that left little to the imagination.
"You look like a total slut," Shauna smiled. "Fortunately for you, I'm into total sluts." She winked and put an arm around her so the two of them could appraise themselves. The beauty queen had been transformed into something a bit closer to trailer trash, and the goth was slowly turning into more of a butterfly emerging from her dark cocoon. Melissa would no doubt be happy, even if the two of them were not.
"They're going to eat us alive, Shauna," Heather said softly. Shauna squeezed her gently. She couldn't disagree with the statement, much as she wanted to.
"It's six hours," she said. "We'll survive it and then I can drop you off at your house. We'll figure out our next move from there."
Heather had so many questions. So many concerns. Shauna's reassuring voice seemed to put them to rest before she ever asked them. She turned to embrace her fully. "I love you, Shauna Stevenson," she smiled as she brought her lips to hers.
"And I love you, Heather DuChamp," Shauna smiled back. "Every fiber of my soul wants to skip class today and spend it with you here in bed, but we both know that won't go unnoticed."
"Yeah," Heather nodded. "We pretty much have to be her puppets, don't we?"
"Only for now," Shauna said as comfortingly as she could. "And we'd better get going. If we're there early enough maybe we can blend in and not get totally noticed."

They held hands from the parking lot up to the main campus, and Shauna felt the stares almost immediately. What was she wearing? Why was Shauna Stevenson with Heather DuChamp? Why was Heather dressed like that?
Why were the two of them holding hands and looking at each other like that?
"Won't be long now," Heather mused quietly as they walked. "We'll be all over campus by lunch."
Shauna turned. "Wanna give them something to really talk about?" She didn't wait for the response, moving in to tenderly kiss Heather on the lips. Public displays of affection weren't clear violations of any school rule, but they weren't exactly smiled upon, either. Shauna kept it brief and simple. A basic pressing of the lips to end any further debate in the minds of any onlookers.
"I can get through the rest of the day now," she smiled as she looked into Heather's eyes.
"Me too," the brunette looked back. "Better get going though. See you in Trig." Another quick kiss, this one initiated by her, as if to punctuate the whole affair with a final period.
They reluctantly parted, Shauna frowning as fifth period now seemed a lifetime away. At least they'd be together again. They had separate lunch periods, so there'd be no other time when they could talk beyond seeing each other between classes. Whatever hold the magical dust had over Shauna, she wondered, and perhaps part of her even hoped, that Heather was feeling it as well. The yearning to be together as much as possible.
She'd become so lost in her thoughts she didn't even notice Melissa sidling up beside her. "Nice job, Shauna," she said politely enough, but with no small hint of venom in her tone. "You clean up nicely."
"Th-thank you, Melissa," Shauna responded, unsure what the blonde minx was going to do to her. She was surprised when Melissa did nothing, simply walking a pace or two ahead of her, leaving Shauna to puzzle over what her game truly was. Surely Melissa was planning something. She just couldn't be sure what it was.
And that concerned her more than anything else.

"So..." Bella asked as she took a drag from her cigarette, "you and Heather DuChamp? Seriously?"
Shauna smiled weakly, relieved her 'crew' at school hadn't abandoned her given she looked nearly the opposite of any of them at the moment. It had been a hidden fear she'd held from the moment Melissa had started laying down her rules. Would the few friends she had desert her? Not just for the way she felt compelled to dress but for who she was keeping company with now. She'd approached the smoking area with some trepidation. She didn't smoke, but Bella and Dawn did, so the rest of the group pretty much hung around in that designated area.
Sheila had seen her hesitance and had drug her over to the group. "C'mon, office lady!" she'd laughed as she led her over. Shauna tolerated their stares and Bella's first question...the one they were all thinking but not asking. Word had spread quickly. Damn near immediately.
"Seriously," Shauna nodded in response to Bella's question. "We...pretty much figured it all out last night."
Bella snorted with a bit of a grin as she took a drag off her cigarette. "Well, I can't fault you for it," she said. "I'd dress like that if it meant I could fuck a girl like that. You're pissing off every guy in school, though. You know that, right? Probably a few girls, too."
"More than a few," Sheila giggled. "Heather's a frickin' hottie!"
Shauna blushed. "I hope this," she gestured at her outfit, "isn't too much." Bella waved her hand dismissively.
