**Take-off**
Laura wasn't super fond of flying. She braced herself to being stuck for 10 hours next to strangers, without much to do, bored, and without being able to sleep properly. She repeated to herself that this business trip to Paris was worth it. "Get this client, and that promotion is yours", her boss had said. She sighed as she entered the plane and looked for her seat. Her plan was to catch up on some work on her laptop during the flight, and then watch whatever dumb movie the plane had.
Once seated, she put headphones on and was scrolling through her playlists to choose something to listen to during take-off. That's when the passenger that had her neighboring seat showed up. He was an average looking guy, late twenties or early thirties. His clothing style didn't do him any favors. He had a bizarre-looking golden necklace that didn't match at all with the rest of his outfit.
"Hi" He said. Laura returned the greeting, hoping that this would be the last word she would have to exchange with this stranger. Unfortunately, he seemed to have other plans. "I am so excited for this flight; I think I will have a lot of fun. Do you like flying?". He was grinning, bordering on the unsettling.
"Uh... yes, flying is great", Laura replied. "I am sorry, I am not much of a talker, it's nothing personal, but I would prefer a quiet flight".
"Oh, ok. Sorry, I was just so excited. I will let you be for a while", the passenger said. That *for a while* didn't make Laura particularly happy, but she would take it for now. She finally chose some music, and closed her eyes, leaning on the window while the rest of the passengers were entering. Maybe she could get some sleep, she could use it...
A few minutes later, she felt a tap on her shoulder. Frustrated, she turned to her neighbor.
