Author's Note
This is a remake of Adam's Will. You don't have to have read that one to read this as it is starting fresh.
I really liked the idea but I think my execution was poor. It will start off fairly similar and have other similarities but as the story goes on you will see how it differs.
I have decided to add no gay scenes in this chapter so you are aware, also there will be some 4th wall breaking as I've had a lot of fun writing these characters.
Meeting Gabe
Adam sat at a table in a busy bar, nervously playing with his hands in his lap as he waited for his date to get back from the bathroom.
It was some girl he had met on a dating app. Ever since turning 18 a few months ago his dating life was non-existent. However, he somehow managed to stir up a conversation with this girl online and she agreed to go out for drinks with him.
He wore his black jeans and a black shirt. Adam knew he wasn't the most muscular man so he wore slightly baggy clothes to hide his skinny limbs. His short, black hair was combed to one side and he had a freshly shaven face, although he couldn't grow a beard anyway.
Adam's eyes lit up when she sat back down opposite him, Sarah. A beautiful, 18 year old blonde woman. She had piercing blue eyes, and a slim frame but she was a tight, black dress that showed she had a curvy, firm arse.
"Hey, sorry about that." She said to him and put her phone into a purse.
I wonder if she was talking to her mates, probably telling them I'm a shit date,
Adam thought, his anxiety getting the better of him like always.
"It's no problem, our drinks came." Adam said over eagerly.
Sarah had some pink cocktail and Adam ordered a gin and lemonade.
Sipping on it, he failed to come up with something to talk about.
Minutes went by in pure silence, each second Adam wracked his brain for something to say.
Come on, talk about something!
He thought as he occasionally made awkward eye contact.
"Do you like films?" Adam blurted out and immediately sighed at his own stupidity.
"Erm, not really," Sarah said and put her glass down on the table between them, "I more like reality TV."
Well, that's one thing we definitely do not have in common,
Adam thought.
Sarah crossed her legs and Adam could tell by her body language and the way she spoke that she wasn't interested.
Once again, the pair sat in silence, awkwardly sipping on their drinks due to not having anything to talk about.
Half an hour, half an hour of painful, awkward silence. Adam didn't think he could take anymore.
There he was, sat on a date with a beautiful girl who was way out of his league and he knew he had blown it.
I'm such a loser, why did I even try asking her out?
He thought.
Sarah placed her empty glass down and uncrossed her legs.
"I think I should be getting back, I erm, have to get up early tomorrow." She said, Adam fixed on her red lipstick.
"Right, yeah, good idea," Adam replied although he knew she was lying.
He brought his stare away from her lips and met her eyes. Her beautiful, shining green eyes. They were wide and the whites almost glowed, not an imperfection in sight.
As he looked into her eyes though, he felt something change. Her annoyed look slowly disappeared and she turned to a straight face, her eyes actually closing slightly as she stared back at him.
Adam then felt something from within, a feeling he had known a few times but one he couldn't explain. It was like a pilot light had been lit within his stomach, a small, little flame that begged to grow into a roaring fire.
"Do you..." Adam stuttered, unable to look away from her eyes, "Do you want me to get you a taxi?"
As he said that it felt as though his own eyeballs heated up, it was like he was locked in this stare with Sarah. The burning inside of him grew ever so slightly.
"I want," Sarah whispered but her voice sounded sure, "I want you to come back to my place."
What?
Adam couldn't believe what he just heard come from her mouth. The fire inside his stomach grew again, it was like his body was heating up from the inside and he felt his breath turn heavier.
"Are you sure?" He asked, strangely though, that burning feeling if anything felt like it died down with his question.
Sarah leant forward, still staring into his eyes.
"Yes," She said firmly, "I want you to come back to mine."
Oh my god, is this actually happening?
Adam felt his hands start to sweat and tremble at the thought of going back to her house.
He stared at her, dying to say yes, but then his self-conscious took over.
I can't go back to her house, a girl like that, how disappointed would she be spending a night with me?
"You," Adam stuttered, "You've been drinking, maybe we should meet up another time?"
His voice was breaking with every word and as soon as he finished speaking it was like a hose of water was unleashed on the burning inside of his stomach.
In his own embarrassment, Adam closed his eyes and leaned back, giving off a loud sigh.
"Oh right, yeah, sure," Sarah said and stood up, her voice returning to normal, "See you around."
"Bye." Adam muttered, he kept his eyes closed out of shame, not able to look at her.
Great one, hot girl asks me to come back to hers and I say no, real smooth.
Adam opened his eyes and saw he had a mouthful of his drink left, deciding to finish it off before leaving he grabbed the glass and gulped it down.
As he finished though and lowered the glass from his mouth he looked and saw an older man staring at him.
Is he looking at me?
Adam thought, he turned his head and no one was being him.
Looking back, the man's stare hadn't moved, he was definitely looking at Adam.
Adam forced himself to look away and sighed at his empty glass.
I need another drink before I go home and wallow in self pity all night.
So, he headed to the bar that was already very busy.
Adam got pushed around, ignored and cut in front of. Even when he reached the bar it took 15 minutes for one of the girls behind to pay him any attention and get him a drink.
Then, when he got back to his table the man that had been looking at him was sat on his chair, on top of his coat.
"E-excuse me," Adam stuttered out, "You're on my coat."
The man turned and looked at Adam.
He had smart, short black hair, and a trimmed face that showed off his chiselled jawline. He was also wearing a black shirt and black trousers, similar to Adam's but clearly much, much more expensive. His clothes also fit him better, this man was obviously very toned as his shirt hugged him perfectly.
Finally, Adam noticed his eyes. Green eyes, similar to Adam's but this mans seemed to glow, almost like they were shining a light.
"Did I take your seat?" He asked in a deep but soothing tone.
Adam thought he must've been late 30s, or early 40s at the most.
"Its... It's okay, I can just stand." Adam replied back pathetically.
The strange man let out a sigh and then sat back, still on top of Adam's coat.
