**AUTHOR'S NOTE**

It is HIGHLY recommended that you read Volume 1 of A Touch of Magic First before reading this story

First off, I would like to express my sincerest gratitude to everyone for their feedback on this series. For the first time since I began writing, I got numerous emails from several of you expressing how much they've enjoyed reading the first part of Penelope's story and how different it was from the others in the Mind Control category.

I have really taken this feedback to heart. With that being said, it's taken me a little longer to write this second part because I want to keep what made the first of this story so special & unique intact. I really do hope I did a good job of doing so.

And to indirectly address the negative emails I got regarding this series. If you're looking for a Mind Control story that eventually evolves/devolves into a harem at the behest of the protagonist: This isn't it. Look elsewhere.

That said, this story does contain elements of bullying, incest & dubious consent so you have been forewarned. I've also taken some creative liberties with the spells in this chapter as I found myself getting tangled up with the wording of them.

Volume 2 is going to be more story focused than the first to set the stage for Penelope in the later parts. That said, this part is not going to be as sex-heavy; That comes later and I promise the wait will be worth it.

Also all participants in this story are over the age of 18. Any names mentioned are purely coincidental & do not reflect anyone in real-life.

Also a shout out to Todger65 for his efforts in helping me edit this.

Penelope opened up the compartment of the pill organizer marked with the letter "F" as she dumped the numerous circular and oval shaped medications into the palm of her hand. She popped them into her mouth and took a large sip of water from the glass sitting on the marble counter-top of the bathroom.

"So what's with all them pills ya takin'?" Percival stood in the reflection of the bathroom mirror with his arms crossed.

Penelope cleared her throat as she set the water glass back down. "Well... when I was about 6 years old, I was getting sick all the time and wasn't developing like the other kindergartners. My parents couldn't figure out why so they brought me to see a doctor. After running some tests, I was diagnosed with carcinoma of the pituitary gland. In other words, childhood cancer."

She placed her hands on the counter-top and dropped her head. "It was hell. For the next 3 years, I had to undergo numerous chemo and radiation treatments and it absolutely fucked up my immune system in the process. Even though I was in remission by the time I turned 9, the damage had been done. My growth & development was... still is slower than everyone else and I'm still at risk of getting sick. I do get checked out every 6 months just as a precaution to make sure the cancer hasn't made a comeback."

She spun around "So, I take all these pills to prevent me from getting sick as well as keeping my estrogen & hormone levels in check. They work for the most part, but the spell book has done wonders for my confidence, not that there is much of it to begin with...." Her voice trailed off as she took a hairbrush to her short brown hair.

Percival walked over to her and placed his arm on her shoulder "Hey now, chin up! I reckon that you've already shown me that you're quite wise with that book there and that's more than I can say about 99% of the people who've had it."

"And besides...." He leaned against the counter, "...I don't know 'bout you, but what you did to Brianna and that Juliet girl was a fine display of your skills."

Penelope set the brush down and adjusted some lose strands with her finger. "I do admit it was pretty fun, but...you'll let me know if I'm taking something too far, won't you?" She adjusted the collar of her white blouse with the top two buttons undone. She wore a pair of light blue jeans and white sneakers.

Percival chuckled, "Ya know it! Besides, I already said that I'd like to stick around..."

The knob of the bathroom door jiggled followed by a loud knock as a man's voice called out, "Hey Nell, you almost done in there?"

"Just a sec, Ryan!" She called out as she opened the door and walked out.

Penelope looked up to her brother, both figuratively and literally. He stood at around 5'11' with the same straight brown hair and eyes as her but had their father's heart shaped face and strong looking chin. He was about a year and a half older than she was. Growing up, he would stand up for her in school whenever she was bullied and Penelope always looked at him as her protector. He ran track in high school and was now part of the cross country team over at UNLV, where he was a sophomore. All those years of running had given him a slender runner's build.

Ryan looked at her with a slightly bewildered look and with a toothy grin. "Wow Nell... uh... you are looking good!" He was so used to seeing her in baggy clothes, that this new look of hers, caught him off guard.

"Thanks, decided to ditch all of my baggy clothes for a change. I was long overdue for a makeover." She walked by and he continued to look at her. As she neared the staircase, she called back to him "Have fun dropping your friends off at the pool!" A roar of laughter came from Ryan as he slammed the bathroom door shut.

Penelope came down to the table as her eggs and toast were waiting for her. Her father, Jason, was at the stove scrambling some more eggs for the family as her mother, Stephanie, sat at the table with a cup of coffee and a piece of toast.

"Morning, you guys!" Penelope called out.

Jason turned around and looked at his daughter. He was slightly shorter than Ryan and his short brown hair was graying on the sides, along with his beard. He always had a crass sense of humor, so when he saw his daughter sit down, he immediately laughed in faux disbelief. "Ok, who the hell are you and what have you done with my daughter?"

"Our Nell has decided to switch up her look for a change and I think she's pulling it off quite well!" Stephanie looked towards her husband.

"She's right, I decided to mix things up a bit and I'm kind of liking it. I know you're a big fan of grunge, dad, but I think I might stick with this look for a while." Penelope grinned.

Jason waved his hand "I'm just kidding, Nell. You look fantastic, good for you! Besides Grunge isn't so much what you wear but what's in your heart, man!" He proclaimed.

"Such a poet." Stephanie rolled her eyes and laughed.

After finishing breakfast, Penelope hopped into her Firebird and headed to school. As she approached, she called out for Percival, who showed up in the passenger seat of the vehicle.

"Miss Forrester, what can I do for ya?"

"Look, I'm sorry for sounding like a broken record but you would totally let me know if I took things too far, yes?" Penelope stammered.

Percival, his hands folded on his lap, looked over at her "Yes ma'am, that is correct. Why? Is somethin' botherin' ya?"

She nodded her head. "What we... what I did to Brianna and Juliet yesterday. How... how was that not taking it too far? I mean I forced them to go down on each other and they seemed scared shitless at first."

He chuckled. "If you must know, the magic, and myself for that matter, can read you, and others for that matter, like a crystal ball. Sort of like a... like a... gauge if you will. When you cast that spell on Harper a couple of days ago, you overdid it. Yes, you told her to get herself off in the bathroom but you also told her that you didn't want her to pick on you anymore." He turned his head to her. "You followin' me, Penelope?"

"So what you're saying is that I didn't need to tell Harper to masturbate in the shower because at the same time, I had already ensured that she would never pick on me again."

Percival stroked his soul patch "Sorta yes, but that whole ordeal with Harper was done with absolutely malicious intent and that's something the book doesn't like."

Penelope pulled up to a stoplight and turned to him "So explain to me what we did with Harper was taking things too far but forcing Brianna and Juliet to go down on each other was not?"

"Gladly! Ya see, yesterday when you locked them two girls in the bathroom, you ensured that no one would see them in their compromisin' position. You did all of that with the intent of nobody findin' out about what they had done to each other, not mention you were doing so protect ya self."

She tapped on the steering wheel. "So it's about what I feel inside of me?"

"Well not just that, but Brianna and Juliet...well, let's just say that they swing both ways but don't even realize it, or at least they didn't until yesterday."

Penelope's eyes shot open "Wait, are you telling me that Bri & Jules are closeted? Holy shit, that would explain why Brianna constantly calls me a dyke & lesbo! She's projecting her insecurities on me!"

He nodded his head and smiled "Now ya catchin' on! When I examined those two yesterday at your request, I saw more than just their plan to humiliate ya! I also saw the desires of their subconscious. Hence why I highlighted those spells for you to use."

The stoplight turned green and the car continued down the road. Penelope nodded her head "I think I see where you're going with this. I'm trying not to abuse the power this book is giving me, after all."

"Of course, and as I said before, I reckon you're doing a marvelous job of it so far!"

Neither Brianna nor Juliet were present in Mr. Sandoval's class. In fact, most of Penelope's day had been uneventful. No bullying, no harassment, just silence; Just the way she liked it. She sat in the library for the last period of study hall, hoping to finish off her homework, when she suddenly felt a pit in her stomach; Like something was wrong.

She looked up from her paper and scanned the library. She only saw other students reading and minding their own business. Yet there was a nagging feeling that something was amiss.

"Percival..." She whispered.

He materialized across the table with his hands folded. "Penelope, what can I do for ya?"

"Something feels off. I have this sinking feeling in my stomach that something is going to happen. Can you do me a favor, and just keep an eye out for me?"

Percival chuckled as he vanished "Say no more!"

Penelope exhaled as she rubbed her face. She was worried that the two girls somehow figured out that she was the reason for their impromptu tryst in the restroom yesterday. As thrilled as she was to have the spell book, she didn't want anyone catching on to the fact that she now had, for lack of a better term, magical powers.

She was somehow able to finish her homework, giving her a few minutes to study more of the tome. As she opened it, her eyes landed on a section that covered the "binding" of objects. As Penelope studied it further, she realized that an object could be bound as a means to cast spells, instead of using her hands.

Her mind began to wander as what she could use.

"Maybe a wand like they have in Harry Potter?" She smiled to herself.

However, a wand could be highly visible and no doubt make people catch on to her powers so she scrapped that idea. As she pondered, she looked down at her hand and looked at the silver ring on her finger. She gasped as the realization hit her.

Penelope took the ring off her finger and placed it on the wooden table in front of her. "This would be perfect!"

Studying the tome for a couple of seconds, she wrote a couple of notes down before turning her attention to the ring. She turned her attention back to the ring and readied her hands. She took a deep breath and started:

En'Diriu... Ligata Vastu Mage.

The world once again came back to her as she stared at the ring. Now it was time to test it out. She slipped the ring on her right ring finger and felt a slightly warm sensation from it.

"Here goes nothing..."

Penelope focused her breathing as she began another incantation.

En'Diriu.....

Everything around her slowed down, Penelope gasped.

Prohib En'Diriu

The spell ended as if nothing had happened. She could barely contain herself. "It worked. Holy shit it worked!"

Her attention was drawn to a chair at an empty table. With her sights set on it, she continued.

Dis Vastu Retro

The wooden chair suddenly slid backwards about 5 feet as if a pair of invisible hands had grabbed it. A wide grin came across Penelope's face; she had successfully done it.

However, that smile quickly vanished when she heard a male student's voice call out. "Yoooo, what the fuck....?"

A male student emerged from in between two rows of library book shelves. However, it wasn't just any guy, it was Liam Peterson. He had on his maroon & white football jersey with a pair of blue jeans. Penelope immediately looked down at one of her other textbooks in hopes that no one would suspect it was her who did it.

She watched Liam walk up to the chair and circle around it.

"For fucks sake, just leave it alone!"

Penelope fumed to herself as she pretended to be engrossed in her book.

"Hey, uh....you?" Liam called out.

"Shit!"

Penelope looked up and decided to play dumb. "Uh yes? Hey, you're that guy I ran into!" She smiled and feigned enthusiasm.

Liam chuckled "Oh yeah, I remember you. Sorry about knocking you down earlier." He paused. "Hey...did you see that just now?"

"See what?"

He gestured to the chair "Did this chair move on its own just now? It was some serious Paranormal Activity shit!"

She cocked her head "Uh... no? I would've seen it from here."

"You sure? Because it was soooooo freaky. I think a ghost did it."

"A ghost?" Penelope nervously chucked. "You think a ghost just moved that chair just now?"

"Well yeah....." Liam now sounded unsure of himself. "No cap, I saw it with my own two eyes!"

"Ugh, just leave it be, you dumbass"

She was getting frustrated but didn't want to show it. She calmly looked up at him.

"Look, if I saw a chair move on its own like you just said. Not only would I scream bloody murder but I would also be running the fuck out of here as quickly as possible." She ended with a laugh.

Liam scratched the back of his head for a second as he looked down at her. He turned to the chair and looked back at Penelope and shrugged. "Yeah, you do have a point. Maybe I'm just nervous about tonight's game against North Las Vegas. They're one of the best teams in the state and the nerves are getting to me."

Penelope packed her things into her backpack and smiled at him "Ah, don't sweat it! I'm sure you'll do awesome!"

He laughed "Ah you're just buttering me up, but if you insist."

Suddenly she heard Percival's voice in her head "Don't look now but that Brianna girl is looking at you two from the upper balcony overlookin' the library and she looks mad as hell."

"Goddammit..."

Penelope walked past him as the final bell for the day rang out. She shot a side eye at him. "You'll do fantastic. I believe in you."

-

Penelope sprinted out of the library and down the hallway as she made her way to the parking lot. She needed to get away from Brianna because she knew that there would be hell to pay since she witnessed her talking to Liam once more.

"She just rounded the corner behind ya. There's an empty classroom on ya left. Head on in there and do your thing." Percival's voice echoed in her mind.

Penelope noticed the wooden door with a rectangular window in the center and grabbed the handle. Pulling it open, she stepped inside and closed it behind her. Thankfully there was no one there, so she was clear to cast her spell that she learned the previous day. She pressed herself against the wall next to the doorway and cast her spell.

"Sui Celit."

Just as she vanished, Brianna burst through the door and slammed it shut. walking past Penelope's cloaked form. She wore a maroon and white dance team shirt with a pair of blue yoga pants. Her face was red with anger and she shouted out. "Come on out Mosquito Bite, I saw your dumbass come in here."

However, before she decided to look near the front of the room, she recalled the events of the previous day. How she saw Penelope enter the empty bathroom and she and Jules decided to pursue her, which ended with them going down on each other at the behest of an unseen force. So she hesitated going further into the room but still called out for her.

"I told you NOT to talk to my boyfriend, you fucking dyke!"

Penelope, still cloaked under the invisibility spell, was pressed against the wall as she watched Brianna paced around the room. She heard her heart beating in her ears and pounding in her chest. The world appeared though her eyes as slightly distorted, almost like a cloudy pane of glass that was constantly moving and shifting.

"Percival, what do I do? I forgot to cast the silence spell! If I say anything, she'll find me!" Penelope called out in her mind.

His voice echoed through her head. "Ya know that you don't actually have to say the spell out loud. You just have to say them in your head as long as you know the words. No need to be running that mouth of yours all the time." He let out a chuckle.

Taking a deep breath, she focused her gaze and raised right hand with the silver ring on it towards Brianna, who stood about 10 feet in front of her.

"Just think of the words. You've got this Nell..."

Brianna's face was red with anger as she stood there with her fists balled in her hands. "I'm going to give you until the count of five to come out. One... two... thr-... AHHHHH!"

Suddenly she felt a force push her back and she landed on her ass first before her back was flat against the floor. Not willing to take a second chance, she immediately got to her feet, muttered "Fuck this!" and ran out the door, before slamming it behind her.

A few seconds later, Penelope reappeared in the room as her back slid down the wall and sat on the floor, resting her arms on her knees. Her entire body felt cold with the sense of dread.

"Jesus fuck, I think she's on to me and the spell book, or at the very least, knows I had something to do with what happened in the bathroom yesterday." She stared up at the ceiling and closed her eyes.

Percival suddenly appeared beside her as he too sat on the floor. "She does indeed think you were behind the events of yesterday but she can't comprehend in her mind exactly how it was done. So now she's seeking you out with the intent of not only finding out how but she also wants to hurt you....badly."

"So what do I do? I'd rather not do that suggestion spell on her because I'm terrified that I will do it with malicious intent, much like I did with Harper. I would seriously not trust myself with it. All I want to do is to get her to leave me alone..." Penelope rubbed her forehead.

Percival stroked the soul patch on his chin with his hand. "Then show that girl you are a force to be reckoned with...."

She turned to him. "And how exactly would I go about doing that? I can't just run up to her, cast some sort of fire spell on her and announce to her I'm some kind of sorceress!"

"No... but there are other ways you can convince her to stay off ya back, but it would require some confrontation." Percival continued to look at Penelope.

She stared back at him. "And how exactly would I go about doing that?"

Percival let out a soft chuckle. "Tell ya what, let's head on home for a couple of hours and I'll show ya. It's time to teach ya some....parlor tricks if you will. I was listenin' in on some other folks today and apparently the dance team is performin' at halftime at the football game tonight. It's time you have a nice little one-on-one chat with Miss Brianna."
