On the day following Ann's erotic adventure in Landover, she was scheduled to have lunch with Tina in downtown Springfield. They hadn't spent much time together recently and Ann was looking forward to sharing some girl talk with her bestie.
Although they had talked on the phone regularly, some things are best saved for times like today, when the two would sit across a table from each other, or get take-out and go to the park. At times, Ann questioned the wisdom of talking about some things with Tina, but she always lost her will to hold back, telling everything.
When girlfriends get together, you're sure to get the best advice, or at least you'll get a second opinion. Ann also used time with Tina to unburden herself. She needed the release. Since she kept things from Jake, who else could she tell if not Tina?
So it was, Tina was already at an outdoor table at the restaurant they'd agreed upon when Ann arrived. Tina always looked as if she were doing a fashion shoot. She was so glamorous, but in a carefree way that surely left guys weak in the knees and firm in the crotch.
She wore cream-colored cotton shorts that enhanced her shapely, well-tanned legs. The soft locks of her dark blonde hair rested on the shoulders of the casual blue semi-low-cut pullover top she wore. A hint of cleavage revealed a deep dark tan that gave no impression of an end.
Her sunglasses rested atop her head as she spotted Ann's approach, and then stood to greet her with a perfunctory hug and kiss. Tina was a demonstrative person who often used touch to embellish a story as she told it. Ann had often imagined her as a very sensual partner. That terrified her, considering Tina's access to Jake, but also excited her bi-curious instincts.
Approaching such a confident sight and greeting from Tina, Ann might normally be left feeling a bit insecure and even frumpy by comparison. But today was different. Fresh off her exciting day with Max, Ann came wrapped in an undeniable glow that could only indicate that something special had happened in the person's life.
"Don't you look great, girl!" Tina acknowledged. "What have you done? You have an absolute glow about you!"
"Oh, things seem to have been happening in such a flurry lately", Ann began. "I really don't know what to say, or how to put things in the order they have occurred. I'm half-afraid of jinxing my luck if I say anything! Let's order drinks and you can tell me what's new with you. It's been forever since we've gotten together for a chat. You look great, as usual, Tina. I know you must have stories to tell, and I can't wait to hear everything!"
As they placed their orders, Tina noted, "I bumped into Jake yesterday. He seems happy. How are things between you and him?"
"I don't know, Tina. Maybe I've come to understand that we're different people with different needs and desires. I think I've finally decided to stop trying to fit into his world when I have so many things of interest apart from him." Ann settled back to enjoy her drink while letting her thoughts sink in with Tina.
