Note: This chapter serves as a go between chapters to introduce Bridget and give you a glimpse into thier relationship. Next chapter you get to meet Heather's sexy new intern.
My desk was strategically placed in front of St. Ives office. I had moved it myself as to intercept any person who intended to speak to him. If they were under peaceful terms I would be glad to let them pass but if they had any intention of causing trouble or appeared to be under duress then I would either help them as I was hired by Mr. Thompson to do or ring for security for them to be escorted out.
The only times I ever regretted my placement was when I had to endure a front row seat to Cassidy Reynolds high pitched screams...much like I was doing now.
After about the fifth scream I was ready to barge in and gag her. She had this high pitched Paris Hilton voice that just grated on my nerves. I could stand it when she talked normally but whenever she screamed....God, her voice gained about thirty more decibels and just echoed in my head.
I don't even know how he could stand it. She must have been right in his ear when she did it....you know, I'll bet fifty bucks that he puts earplugs in before each bout. Otherwise he might just go deaf.
Suddenly Cassidy Reynolds screams reached their climax as she found hers. I think that one reached a frequency only dogs could hear. It was quickly followed but the rustling of clothes as they each adjusted themselves to look decent once more. They would both be out soon after that.
I hated that moment most of all.
I had no rights of ownership over St. Ives but every time she was escorted out by him with a smug smile on her face I just wanted to gab her by her bleach blond head and smash it in the wall. Her face spoke of fabulous sex and the fact that she was getting it from the man she knew I wanted.
She'd known about my feelings for St. Ives for quite some time. I don't know when she had caught on to it but now she just loved to rub it in my face...I really hated her for that.
As if on cue St. Ives door opened as he performed their usual parting routine, his hand cradling the small of Cassidy's back as he ushered her out. "Thank you for stopping by, Cassidy."
"No prob, gummy bear. Like, it was no problem." I almost cringed at her reply. I hated that nickname. It made me want to shove gummy bears up her ass...a fantasy I had often. "Great seeing you, Heather!"
Bite me, you bitch. "Of course." I answered instead as I arose from my seat to go to the filing cabinet that contained the file that St. Ives had previously demanded. "Good day, Ms. Reynolds."
After she had departed I immediately offered the files to St. Ives before returning to my desk. I wanted to be somewhere else, anywhere else that he wasn't. The only thing that prevented me from doing so was the fact that I had no reason to leave at that moment and if I did he would see it for what it really was...running away.
"Have you spoken to Thompson yet?" He asked as he reached for the door handle to office.
