Readers,
This is a rewrite of a story I wrote a couple of years ago. I hope my current skill level can improve this story.

Janet and Brad both worked at the same company; both knew that they had reached their maximum position. They were what the executives called solid citizen employees. They knew their jobs well and performed them better than any new hire could. They even accepted the fact that they were in dead-end positions, but were unwilling to seek out better employment. They were both putting in their time until retirement.
Brad had been attracted to Janet for quite a while. He knew she divorced her ex a few years back and then started dating using several of the online dating services. Brad was very familiar with them since he had followed the same pattern about 6 years ago. He didn't want just be part of the crowd trying to impress her. They were co-workers and if she saw him as just another of the phonies trying to get into her pants, it might make working with her unbearable for the next five years.
They had chatted every so often and seemed to enjoy each other's company, but had never done anything together socially before.
"Hi Janet," Brad greeted his co-worker during their break. "Do you have any plans this evening?"
Janet responded, "Just the usual, home, get comfortable, eat, and watch TV."
"Would you like to go out and grab a bite?" Brad asked.
"You mean a date?" She asked.
"Well, I'm trying hard not to think of it as a date, but I guess it is. I just thought that we seem to like each other and I know I tend to do the same thing night after night, just like you described. I might be fun to hang out a bit and get to know each other."
Janet thought for a moment then answered, "I got really burnt out with the dating scene after my divorce. Going out to eat, or drinks is normally crowded and noisy. I find that it stresses me out. It's okay if you are actually on a date and trying to figure out if you want to go home with the guy, but for just hanging out, I don't think it works too well. Like I said I don't like dating anymore."
Brad nodded, "I got tired of the dating scene too. Everyone is trying too hard to impress each other and you really don't get to know anyone. The women I dated all wore a mask to hide the person they really are. I agree going out is normally crowded and noisy. The places that aren't, are dark and cozy meant for romance. I would just like a chance to spend more that 5 minutes talking with you."
"If you are serious about just hanging out with no pretenses, then maybe it might be worth a try. I'm in a rut after work too and a change might be good, but I don't want to dress up and go out." Janet replied.
"I'm with you on that. When I get home, the first thing I want to do is get out of my work clothes and grab a glass of wine."
Janet smiled, nodding and said, "me too. If you can handle seeing the real me for a couple of hours, you can come over and we'll order a pizza. I have some wine."
"Sounds great," Brad replied, "Should I just follow you after work?"
"I'll give you the address, but I should warn you that when I get home, these clothes come off." Janet said quite seriously.
"So are you a nudist?" Brad asked equally seriously.
"I wouldn't say I'm a nudist, but I don't wear clothes at home."
Brad smiled at that comment. "I too hate wearing clothes, you might say I'm a closet nudist. A long time ago when this old body looked better, I often went to nudist resorts, but that was a long time ago. I haven't been naked in front of anyone in a long time. If the invitation is open, I'd love to join you in a sky clad pizza party."
Janet responded, "I did say that I'm not really a nudist. A nudist feels the same in a group when they are naked as they do when they are wearing clothes. That is not me."
"Do you get embarrassed, nervous, uncomfortable in any way?" Brad asked.
Janet lowered her head and a flush blossomed over her face, "Nothing like that. I get aroused."
"Oh!" Exclaimed Brad. "I wasn't thinking of sex. I just want to hang out and get to know each other."
"You said you wanted to get to know the real me; this is me. I come home, strip down, get something to eat, and watch porn. You are still welcome to join me if I haven't scared you off," she replied.
Brad stood in shocked silence for a moment. He snapped out of his stupor when he noticed Janet starting at him. "Sorry," he stammered. "I was not expecting that at all, but I did say I wanted to get to know the real you. I'm up for it if the invitation still stands. What kind of porn do you have?"
"Great," Janet said as she wrote her address on a scrape of paper. "This will definitely be different from my normal evenings." Her neck and face colored a bit, but this was not from embarrassment. "I'm already looking forward to this."
"I must admit this is not what I expected when I asked to hang out, but I'm getting a bit excited thinking about it. Do you want to set any ground rules or just see where things lead?" Brad responded.
Janet glanced down before responding. When she looked back up, she wore a grin. "We're both old enough to have been through all the games. We know what to expect and are not afraid of it. We have known each other for a long time and I like you. Let's just see what happens, shall we? Unless you're afraid of something."
