"Sounds like fun, but do you think there's any way you and I can get together again before Thursday night?"

"As much as I'd like to, it'll be impossible, Nancy. Obviously I can't today, then tomorrow I have a luncheon date with my friend Louise. What about you, do you have anything planned?"

"Nothing until tomorrow, but it isn't anything I couldn't cancel. Hint, hint."

"Yes and no. I can appreciate you being excited now that you met John and Maureen, but I also thought you'd be less nervous by now. As I've said more than once, everything will be fine, and you and Walter will be going home at the end of the night grinning from ear to ear.
