READ THIS SYNOPSIS FIRST!
This is my first mature story. I welcome your comments.
Again, it is loosely based on my experiences with my attorney at the time...
I'm a 27-year-old tech guy in 1999, who left his job to start his own dot com.
Confronted with a legal dispute, I hire a new attorney, Jill Taylor.
I'm instantly smitten by the new attorney and I'm hoping to make this more than a professional relationship.

Legal Emergency
Late that afternoon, there was an incoming call from Jill on my blackberry, and I immediately answered.
"Mike, it's Jill Taylor," Jill said in a serious tone. "I've just received the entire complaint and had time to read it. I hate to ask, but you have time to discuss this yet today?"
"Let's see," I said, looking at my watch, "It's just now 6:00, I could be downtown in about an hour assuming traffic doesn't delay me." I said "Will that work or is that too late?"
"No that will work fine, I've got some work to finish," Jill quickly answered. "When you get here, you'll need to tell security who you're here to meet and they will call me so I can walk you up."
"Alright Jill, see you in an hour," I said, as I packed up my attachΓ© to head out the door.
At 7:35 p.m. I made it to the lobby of the building that housed the Warren and Stern law firm. I told the security guard I was there for Jill then waited for her to escort me up to the 22nd floor. Soon, I was in the elevator with Jill, and we were on our way up to her office.
As we stepped off the elevator, the office was much darker than it was when we met that morning. The sun was low in the sky and the tall buildings around us were blocking much of the evening light. We walked through the dark hallways to Jill's office.
"Are we the only people here?" I asked Jill, "It's only 7:30."
"Well, it is a Friday," Jill laughed a little, "But I guess guys like you work twenty-four by seven."
"Unfortunately, you're not wrong," my voice filled with false self-pity.
"Alright mister all work and no play," Jill chided, "Should we discuss the case?"
"Absolutely," I said, as we both sat where we did this morning.
Jill turned on a small lamp next to her couch so she could better see her notes. The buildings behind her created a wonderful evening view of the skyline. Jill looked just as good as she did this morning, I was happy to be with her again so soon.
Jill and I discussed the legal issues for the better part of an hour, I couldn't believe how quickly the time passed. It was now almost 9 p.m., the evening sky had become blue with darkness. As she collected her notes and rose to walk to her desk, she moved through the shadows to the warm light provided by the lamps on her desk.
I remained in my chair for a moment and stretched.
"This is a great office," I said in a cheerful tone hoping to lighten the subject.
"Why thank you," Jill said, smiling, "It's too bad you didn't get here earlier, you could have said hello to Megan, our receptionist."
"I'm confused, what did Megan want to talk to me about?" I asked, not making a connection.
"Oh, Megan is very sweet, she stopped into my office after you left and asked me if you were single," Jill smirked, "She's about your age and very nice, are you available, Mark? Or should I let her down easily."
I stood to look at Jill. She was leaning against her desk with her hands bracing her body weight. I mimicked her body language and leaned against the chair I had been sitting in.
"There's nobody serious yet, Jill, but I am smitten with someone in my professional life," I said, looking directly into Jill's blue eyes from across the room.
"An office romance, how exciting," Jill said, with a sarcastic smile, "Tell me all about her."
"Actually, I would really like your point of view if you don't mind, do you have a second?" I asked as I took a few steps closer.
