This is also a bit of a slow burn, but they do get there.

"Wow! What a gorgeous beach!" I was just so blown away, standing at the floor-to-ceiling window staring out at the clear, blue water, watching the waves gently lap at the white sand beach just below us. Though it was only a two-hour drive north of the city, it felt like a whole other world up here.

"I know I never get tired of it," tall, lean, Kelsey agreed, coming to stand beside me, and reaching up to tie her long, dark hair into a messy bun. "It's why my brother built here. That, and it's a fun place to get away." She nodded at the people strolling along the sand, and I could feel my mouth drop open when I realized what I was looking at.

"Holy crap! They're all naked!"

Kelsey laughed. "There are signs posted so everyone knows that this end of the beach is clothing optional. Plus, today is Nude Day, so I guess everyone's decided to join in the fun. Though normally during the summer, most people seem to enjoy the feel of the sun on their bare skin and no one bothers to cover up."

"I can see that. And holy smokes, there are some really hot-looking studs strutting their stuff down there."

The minute they heard about the hot guys, our other two besties from our high school days, stopped putting away the food and rushed over to take a look. When she saw what we were looking at, tiny blonde Jayne, got all giddy, and started laughing. "Now this is my kind of beach, full of hot naked men."

Curvy, redhaired Laurie wasn't quite as amused. "We've been planning this getaway for weeks and you never thought to warn us?" Laurie groaned, looking down at herself in her black knee-length shorts and baggy t-shirt. "I'm so insecure about my body, I wear a bathrobe around the house, even when no one else is around. So, there's no way I'd ever be able handle strolling around like that."

I thought she looked good, and told her so. "Why not? You're really pretty, and you've got a body most women would kill for. And I bet most guys would think you've got curves in all the right places. So why not show it off? And who knows, you might never get another chance to let loose like this again. I mean, how often do you think you'll find yourself on a nude beach?"

Laurie winced, looking down at her twins. "I'm just so busty, I feel like everyone will be staring, especially with the way they bounce."

Jayne giggled and raised her arms over her head, and did a little shimmy, trying to get her tiny breasts to jiggle as she joked with Laurie. "Girl, I say if you've got it, flaunt it. I just wish I had even half of what you've got. I think Mother Nature forgot all about me when she was handing out boobs."

"Well, I think we all look good. And I also think while we're here we should go with the flow and keep our clothes off," Kelsey suggested, pointing out the sign her brother had hanging over the bar:

Scientific Fact

-

Naked people have more fun!

When I noticed Jayne had picked up her phone and was biting into her lip, looking a little anxious, probably hoping to see something from her ex-boyfriend, though they'd been broken up for months, I suggested, "I think we should turn off our phones, too. We can check them at bedtime. And we'll have more fun if we're not glued to them all weekend."

"Once we've put everything away, why don't we go down for a swim while the weather's good?" Kelsey suggested, nodding down at the sun-soaked beach, though we could see the sky was getting a little dark in the distance.

Since the weather forecast said that it was supposed to be mostly hot and sunny all weekend, except for a slight chance of rain, we'd all packed sunscreen. Before we stepped outside, we lifted our hair off our backs and took a few minutes to help each other slather up, so that no one got burned. Except for Laurie, who was still in her shorts and t-shirt, and only had to worry about coating whatever wasn't covered, like her face, arms and legs.

Whereas the three of us, who decided to go with the flow and strip off, made sure we covered every inch, so we wouldn't be sorry later. Since I'd shaved pretty close last night, I sure as heck didn't want to go home with a sunburnt hoo-ha.

Surprisingly, it didn't take long to get used to the idea of walking around without our clothes. Especially since everyone else was wandering around in their birthday suits like it was no big deal.

We strolled down to the water's edge, dove in and started swimming, and soon, all of us were laughing and tossing around a beachball, forgetting about the fact that we were out where anyone could see us skinny dipping.

At least three of us blended in with the people around us. Though, we noticed Laurie was starting to look a little uncomfortable as she tried to swim in her waterlogged clothes that seemed to be dragging her down.

"You, okay?" I asked, as she got to her feet and mumbled something about heading back to shore.

As I watched her make her way onto the beach, I wondered if we should all head back up to the cottage, hating the thought of her sitting around by herself, probably moping.

But she surprised us, when instead of heading back, she flashed a grin and found the courage to pull off her t-shirt and wiggle her way out of her shorts and panties, unclip her bra, and dropped everything into a wet pile on her towel. We all looked at each other glad to see her wandering back out with a big smile on her face, looking pretty happy about ditching her clothes and deciding to join in the fun of swimming in the buff.

"I just hope no one laughs at the size of me." Laurie cautiously looked around to see if anyone was staring, once she'd waded out into the waist-high water, with her big, bouncy twins fully exposed.

When I noticed a few guys smiling over at her, I nodded in their direction. "The way those two are looking at you, I'd say you've captured their attention. And from what I can tell, they seem to like what they're seeing."

I was glad when she managed a smile, and even felt confident enough to jump up and hit the ball back at Kelsey when she tossed it to her. Though her breasts were flying free, she didn't seem to care.

The sun felt warm on our bare skin, but thankfully the water was doing a good job of cooling us off when we dove down and swam between each other's legs, laughing like crazy. We were having such a good time, we never thought about having lunch.

Though the fun ended pretty quickly when we noticed the sun had disappeared behind the dark clouds rolling in, as a few distant rumbles of thunder warned there was a storm coming. Kelsey cautiously eyeing the sky, suggested we should head back to shore, just to be on the safe side.

We had just got back to the beach and I was about to pick up my towel to dry off, when I spotted a bunch of good-looking guys walking along the sandy shoreline heading in our direction.

"Holy shit!" When I realized who I was looking at, I scurried behind my friends and dropped to my knees.

"What's wrong?" They all asked, looking back at me, probably wondering why I was cowering like I'd just seen a ghost.

"Oh god, I can't believe my boss is here."

"Really? Which one is he?" Kelsey asked, smiling as the four of them approached.

"The one with the sandy hair and blue eyes," I whispered.

"You mean the hunk with the big, long shlong?" Laurie, asked, giggling, as she eyed him.

I peeked around Laurie, and I could feel my eyes pop when I realized she was right, aside from being gorgeous, he was really packing.

"Hey," Brock said with a smile in his voice as they stopped to say hello. "Are you up for the weekend, Kelsey?"

"Yep. I'm up with my old high school friends. My brother's away in Mexico on a film shoot, so he suggested we come for up for the long weekend and enjoy ourselves."

I winced as he made the introductions. "Not sure if you remember my brother, Rich. And these are my cousins, Ted and Les."

Now that he'd explained who everyone was, I knew Kelsey would feel obliged to introduce us. Since I didn't have time to dig a hole in the sand and bury myself, I swallowed my pride, stood up and forced myself to look at my boss, doing my best to keep my eyes on his face. Though I couldn't help but notice how buff he looked with his clothes off.

"Lissa?" he said, sounding a little shocked, like he couldn't quite believe it was me.

I nodded. "Hi, Brock."

My 'so called' friends decided it would be funny to step aside so my boss could see me standing in front of him naked. As he let his eyes wander over my body, I could feel the heat of his gaze, while every inch of me burned with embarrassment.

"This is a surprise," he said, smiling into my eyes, once he finally lifted his gaze.

No kidding. Though, I was actually surprised to see him smiling, since I didn't think he'd be too happy to see me, especially since he was up here obviously hoping to relax.

It was just starting to rain, when his brother Rich nodded at a big stone and cedar cottage a little ways up the beach. "We were just going to fire up the barbecue and get some dinner going, if you ladies would like to join us."

I was trying to think of a polite way to decline, when Laurie, who was normally too shy to even speak, shocked me when she smiled and said, "Thanks. We'd love to join you."

Rich, smiling from ear to ear, offered Laurie his arm, and they led the way to the cottage, while Kelsey and Les followed, with Jayne and Ted right behind them.

Which of course, meant that Brock and I would have to walk together, without any clothes on. Talk about awkward.

Suddenly, the skies opened up, and it really started coming down. When we heard thunder rumbling overhead as the sky turned an ominous black, everyone laughed and started running. Brock took my hand, and I hung on tight as we raced across the sand and up the steps onto the big wrap-around deck, that overlooked the water.

I had picked up my towel, but since no one else had bothered to cover up, not even Laurie, I decided to play it cool. Once I dried off and got the sand off my feet, I dropped my towel on the chair inside the door, like everyone else had.

We had just got inside and Brock rubbed his hands together, smiled and asked, "So, what can I get you ladies to drink?"

I was tempted to ask for sparkling water, because I sure as heck didn't want to get tipsy. But when everyone decided on wine, I just nodded and said, "Sure. Sounds good."

If possible, it felt even more intimate now that we were all standing around naked inside Brock's huge two-story great room, with the most gorgeous vaulted wooden ceiling high overhead, with an enormous brass chandelier dangling in the center, casting the room in a warm romantic glow.

From the way he filled out a suit, I knew Brock kept himself in shape, but holy smokes, now that I could see every muscle in his body flexing, I couldn't believe how buff he was - or how well hung.

Brock chuckled when his brother Rich reached for his phone, and all of them instantly said, "Hey you, no phones till bed time, remember?"

"We've got our phones off, too," Kelsey said, giving Jayne the side-eye. "So we can enjoy the weekend without being glued to our screens."

"I can live without my phone," Brock said with a shrug. "Especially now that I've finally got a weekend away, I don't want anyone from the office looking for me." When he smiled at me pointedly, I smiled back.

Working as his assistant for the last two years, I knew how busy he was. So, I couldn't blame him for wanting a little time away from the office without any interruptions.

After he put away his phone, Rich wandered into the kitchen area and showed us a big platter that he'd pulled out of the fridge. "I've got burgers, chicken breasts and sausages. And if anyone's vegetarian, I've also got some nice, big portobello mushrooms I can grill."

Once everyone agreed that it all sounded good, I asked what I could do to help.

I smiled at Brock when he suggested, "How about we serve you ladies for a change. I'll put a fire on in the fireplace to take the dampness out of the air. And you can sit and enjoy your drinks."

Normally, he was so busy at work, if I didn't make sure he had coffee and lunch during the day, he'd probably forget to eat. So, I thought it was nice of him to suggest that they'd take care of dinner, so we could put our feet up and enjoy the fire.

It felt so relaxing to curl up on one of the butter-soft, taupe leather couches by the big wall-to-wall stone fireplace, with music softly filtering through the air. When I realized what was playing, I sighed. "Oh, I love this song."

"I've been listening to Van Morrison since I was kid, my mother just loves him. And

Someone Like You

, has got be one of his best. Though Moondance is a great song, I think this one's more romantic," Kelsey said as we all sat back listening to Van's mellow voice, filtering through the air.

'I've been searching a long time

For someone exactly like you,'

When Brock caught me looking over at him, and flashed me a smile, I couldn't help but smile back as the most delicious little tingle raced through me, making my nipples stand up and take notice as the song played on.

'Someone like you

Make it all worth while

Someone like you

Keep me satisfied

Someone exactly like you'

As I focused on the lyrics, I wondered if Brock had a reason for choosing such a romantic song.

The girls, all slyly grinning, gave me a pointed look when the next song started up and Roberta Flack softly sang,

'The first time ever I saw your face

I thought the sun rose in your eyes'

"Ooh, someone's got a taste for romantic ballads," Jayne leaned in and whispered, gesturing at Brock in the kitchen.

With the guys occupied, putting everything together for dinner, Kelsey glanced around and quietly remarked, "This place is gorgeous, isn't it?"

Jayne nodded, taking it all in. "It looks like something out of a high-end vacation magazine. Though it still feels pretty cozy."

We laughed when Laurie cut to the chase, leaned in and whispered, so that only we could hear, "Okay, so what's the deal with Rich, is he single?"

"I think he is," I said, loving the way her eyes lit up as soon as she heard that he was available.

"And how about Brock?" she asked, slyly grinning with a suggestive waggle of her eyebrows.

"Yep. He's single, too," I said with a shrug, trying to act like it didn't matter to me whether he was or not.

The girls all shot each other knowing looks, since they probably imagined he'd be fun to work with, if he was this laid back at his cottage.

From the way the wind was picking up, howling through the trees with the rain coming down even harder, I think were just glad to be safe inside.

It was hard to believe we'd just been out enjoying the calm gentle waves of the lake, and now they were churning and crashing to shore, stirring up the sand as the wind picked up.

As bad as it was, it felt safe and warm inside, especially since we were riding out the storm with four big, hunky men.

We all smiled when tall, lean Les came over with a cheese platter and crackers, and tried to avert his gaze as he explained, "Just a little something to take the edge off till dinner's ready."

Of course, we all watched him walk away, grinning at the way his muscles flexed as he walked, especially the ones in his nicely toned buns.

"You know, with everyone naked, I don't feel so awkward anymore," Laurie remarked, glancing over at the guys wandering around in their birthday suits, their muscles rippling, as they worked on tossing salads and cutting up veggies, while Rich was busy doing the grilling.

As we passed around the crackers, and cut into the cheese, I was still kind of surprised to discover that Brock had a cottage just a few doors away from Kelsey's brother, though I was glad now that we'd bumped into them.

Although it still felt a little awkward to be sitting around in my boss's place without any clothes on, while watching him work in the buff, while I carefully eyed his package.

Working side-by-side with him for the last few years, I'd often wondered what he'd look like out of his clothes, but I wasn't prepared for how hot he looked now that I was finally seeing him in the flesh.

Just then, Brock looked over and flashed me a smile. And I wondered if he'd felt me ogling him. Though I was glad he'd have no idea about the naughty thoughts filtering through my head as I pictured how hot he'd look looming over me in bed.

"Dinner's ready, ladies," Rich announced, snapping me out of it, as the four of them wandered over to the long dining table and started laying out steaming platters of barbecue meats, veggies and salad.

"Everything's delicious," I said, once I'd had a taste of the perfectly grilled pepper and zucchini and a bite of spicy chicken on a warm, crispy ciabatta bun.

Since Brock was circling the table topping up our wine, I smirked when he stopped to refill my wine glass, and I took a quick look at his nice tight backside. I made everyone laugh, when I remarked, "Hmm, nice buns."

Chuckling, he winked. "Glad you like 'em."

Rich, glancing around at the girls sitting around the table, suggested, "If any of you are cold, I'm sure we've got some t-shirts you ladies could wear."

I could hardly believe my ears when Laurie was the one who grinned, and said, "No, I'm good. I'm actually feeling nice and toasty after sitting by the fire."

I looked at the other girls who looked just as shocked, since I think we all assumed if anyone would want to cover up, it would be Laurie. But for some reason, she seemed pretty comfortable around Brock's brother Rich, even with everything she owned was on display.

I loved the song that was playing as I passed around the salad, as my friends and I exchanged smiles. Seems Brock really did have a romantic side.

The way he was rolling his eyes, I noticed Brock's cousin Ted didn't look too thrilled, though. "I think we've heard enough love songs. Once this one's done, I'm going to look for something that's not as sappy."

Brock looked taken aback. "Are you kidding me? This is classic Joe Cocker."

The two of us shared a smile, as Joe crooned,

'

You're everything I'd hoped for

You're everything I need

You are so beautiful

to me'

Deciding to tease him, Ted leaned in and confided, "I think he likes playing this kind of stuff, because my cousin's got a thing for a lady he works with. Apparently, she's really pretty, and she might be a little young for him, so he thinks she's out of his league. I said he should take a shot and ask her out, but I think he's afraid of getting shot down."

Brock heaved a sigh, and looked over at me. "I probably should have mentioned that Lissa's not just Kelsey's friend, she's also the lady that works with me. She's my assistant."

"Oh, crap. So, she's 'The One'?" Ted winced, looking back and forth between us. "This is a little awkward, isn't it?"

"Yeah, just a bit," Brock agreed, rolling his eyes skyward, while the girls were all grinning at me.

I reached out and stroked his back, knowing he had to be embarrassed. But I was beyond elated now that I knew what I was feeling wasn't all one sided.

"This is a really nice spread," Kelsey remarked, obviously hoping to change the subject. "You guys made a great dinner. And I'm so glad you invited us, or we would have been stuck eating burgers and hot dogs that we would have had to fry on the stove."
