I was only there to get a snack. I don't know why my eyes followed you out the aisle but you were the right kind of height, maybe 6 feet, with a point guard form.
When you looked up, there was no hiding that face of yours. Such magnetic eyes and a chiseled face of perfection. From your high cheekbones to your full lips, even down to your chin, everything so defined. I have a feeling when you take that hoodie off, you'd have a mop of brown hair, just adding to the gorgeous overload.
All those women in Drive Up, waiting for your loads, oblivious to the yummiest snack right in the Target aisle. Next time, I need a taste.
And so I posted on Missed Connections, since it was going extinct. The guy was a college kid, at most a sophomore. And this 32-year old high school teacher FINALLY understood the fuss about younger men.
Three days passed and I checked for who'd respond to my crazed thoughts. Most were delete-worthy until I saw an email from RyanSorenson05.
Take down this post. You've upended my life
My response? A Google search on him. It fed me so much content. TikToks tracking him down, #HotTargetGuy IG reels of him smiling, even a rakish interview with the local news.
No longer a split second memory, he was now a fully formed fantasy. Every night I typed his name and just drenched myself. I did take down the post as requested.
Eventually the viral du jour title went to some #HOTCOP. Soon the Ryan content slowed and I found myself in the aisles of Target, Ryan still scanning away.
"Ryan..."
"Look, I'm on the clock and I can't be taking selfies."
"I'm so sorry for upending your life. Let me make it up to you."
