Presentation
At a graduate program symposium in Minneapolis I made a presentation on the High Energy Rate Forming research I had completed as part of my graduate work on a contract with the Atomic Energy Corporation. A really nice looking lady came in late and sat on the side aisle out of the main audience. She was really dressed nice and her skirt was just above the knees a bit. At one point I realized she had taken off her jacket and her blouse showed a pair of really nice breasts pushing out the material. From then on in my presentation it was difficult not to glance her way a little more frequently.
One time when I looked she uncrossed her legs and crossed them back the other way, hesitating when they were spread in front of her, giving me a nice shot of her legs. The sly little grin she flashed told me she knew exactly what she was doing and was teasing me just for fun. Shortly before my presentation was over she left. Darn I thought, she was nice and it would have been nice to speak to her. Oh well I thought, just as good that she left.
I had one more presentation to make the next day and was staying at the rather nice Northstar Hotel downtown. My speaking stipend was enough for me to afford a nice dinner, so I went to the Rosewood Room which was on the top floor of the hotel. As I was being seated I saw the woman from my presentation that afternoon. We made eye contact and she smiled in a very nice way. The hostess kept on going, but I went over to speak to the lady. Not knowing how to start a conversation blurted out the question, "how did you like my presentation?"
"Are you alone? Would you like to join me?" She waved her hand toward the other chair at her table for two.
It didn't take but a split second for me to accept her offer. "I was alone yes, but not now. I'd be delighted to join you."
She gave me a broad smile and leaned forward a bit, "I was mean to you in the presentation today. You were doing a good job and I didn't understand a bit of what you were talking about."
"Why did you come in then?"
"You don't know? Really?"
"Well no. Most of the people there were engineers or researchers of some sort, and you clearly are...a lot more interesting than any of them."
"Well thank you...I'm Janice...thank you Ken, I went in to look at you for a short while. Some of us ladies are not afraid to say what pleases us, and you are one nice looking young man and I wanted some eye candy in the middle of the afternoon...and you provided that."
"OK Janice, that is nice. You certainly gave me a shot of nice eye candy before you left."
