Chapter 20 - Mums away!
'Rotorua is a major destination for both domestic and international tourists; the tourism industry is by far the largest industry in the district. It is known for its geothermal activity, and features geysers and hot mud pools.'
The night came and went, and I went about my normal daily business. Being a Friday and Yana was still signed off, she had intentions of going back to work on the Monday. I got conscripted to somehow take my new fiancΓ© shopping.
I took her to the local mall; we were there were for hours. But what struck me wasn't how long we were taking. But what she was buying. I expected her to be buying clothes, handbags, makeup, and hair products. You know the usual girly things. No, she was buying household products. Towels, sheets, pillowcases. All manner of linen and crockery things.
"Yana, I wasn't expecting you to buy so much of this type of stuff." I asked her.
"Haha, no you were expecting me to but skincare, make up hair things and fashion. No?" she laughingly replied.
"Well, I do get my clothes, and I get one bed which was mine, the double one in the spare room that was mine. Otherwise, everything is Andrew's father's. And now we are engaged. And with little deti on way. We need to think about these things, Nyet?" she said.
"Oh." I said. But I had to grudgingly agree.
The past wee while had been unearthly in a way. I had gone from being an eighteen-year-old kid with minimal responsibilities. To being accepted into university and being engaged to a woman who was pregnant.
After some hours Yana and I went home. When we got home. There were a few too many cars in the driveway.
I escorted Yana into the house to find the other mums already there. Excluding Janice. They were all seated in the lounge drinking wine.
"Hello Jay and Yana." My mum said.
"Uh hi all." I stammered.
"That not nice hello." Grace commented.
"Oh, give the boy a break, he's loaded down with all manner of bags there. Grace." Penny commented.
"Oh, so he struggle with bags and it's okay, but he have strength to fuck us all. Speaking of which I want another turn on him." Grace said. Poking her tongue out.
"Now, now ladies. Let's not have too much of that kind of talk. I invited you all here tonight for a reason." Mum interjected.
"Now Grace I know you absolutely adore my son's cock and Penny you have told me how wonderful it is. But I will have to take your words for it.Unfortunately." Mum said.
Penny just about choked on her wine, knowing that, that statement from mum was a lie.
"Yes, why we here?" Grace asked.
"Well as you know this week's card thing was cancelled due to all our husbands being home. And then mine got called into work on his day off to cover a sick colleague." Mum said.
"Hahaha, that's funny." Penny snorted.
"What is Pen?" mum asked.
"Doctor's getting sick, it's just kind of ironic." Penny answered.
"Oh, yes I suppose it is." Mum answered.
"But anyway. I got you here to tell you some news and while we don't have our boys or husbands with us. I thought it would be a good opportunity. Come join us Yana, Jay can put your purchases away." Mum said and motioned for Yana to join them. Penny poured her a glass of wine and handed it to Yana.
They went on while I made several trips to Yana's room struggling with enough Linen and Housewares for a rather large army.
"Right now, we are all here. Yana also has news, well in fact most of the news is hers or concerns her. Yana you want me to tell these two. Or do you want to do it?" mum asked.
"You tell." Yana answered.
"Okay well seeing as you are my two best friends and Penny is one of my oldest. There is four pieces of news to tell you. Two of which must be say, be kept under wraps for a wee while until things sort themselves out." Mum said.
"Oh, do tell?" Penny said, leaning forward as she did.
"Yes tell." Grace repeated.
"OK. First Jay has won a scholarship all expenses paid to med school. The rest concerns Yana. Are you still okay if I tell them Yana?" mum said.
"Da." Yana answered.
"Oh, what's happened?" Penny asked.
"Okay well this first one is not really a secret. Yana is getting divorced, And she is living here." Mum said.
"Oh, I sorry to hear that." Grace said.
"Really, well I knew that, that husband of yours was no good. And good on you Yana." Penny said.
"Thank you." Yana said.
"So, what's the other news?" Penny excitedly asked.
"Well, this is the secret news only between us four okays?" mum said.
"Ok. But it cant be more secret than that other thing right?" Penny said. Referring to her and my mother's incestuous forays.
"Oh, penny just as secret and that other thing is still going on too by the way." Mum said.
"Do please tell seclet." Grace implored.
"Okay Yana here has found someone who really, really loves her, thinks the world of her and he has asked her to marry him as of yesterday and Yana has accepted." Mum said.
Penny and Grace both went silent. You could hear a pin drop.
"Hang on so she has her second husband already lined up and the divorce isn't even through yet?" Penny commented. Grace was just silent, a look of confusion on her face.
"In a way yes, it just happened, but I can tell you two ladies Yana and him are very much in love with each other I can tell. Plus, the second part of the news. Yana here is also shall we say? In the family way?" Mum said.
"she's pregnant? Oh, that vely good. I happy for you Yana." Grace said.
"So, waiting on a divorce, engaged and knocked up?" Penny said.
"Yes." Mum said.
"Oh, that sounds great, Can I ask who the lucky fellow is?" Penny said.
"Yes of course." Yana said.
"Who is he?" Penny asked.
"Let me answer this one Yana." Mum interjected.
"He is my son." Mum said.
"So, Jay is marrying her and has fathered her child as well. Randy little bugger. Like I know he's good at doing what he does, and he has that old world chivalric ethos to him. But still." Penny commented.
"Yes that's why it has to remain a secret, because of A, she isn't divorced yet and also she is still teaching so they have to remain tight lipped about it until he finishes school. So, I can count on you two to keep mum?" Mum said.
"Of course." Grace said.
"Me too." Penny said.
Yana cleared her throat. "Excuse me I also have some news to add. This is new, news." Yana said.
"Do tell." Mum answered.
"Well, I am not expecting one baby, I'm expecting two." Yana proudly announced.
"What two?" mum said shocked.
"Oh yeah two at once, your bits will never be the same Yana." Penny commented.
Grace just clapped excitedly.
Yana gulped at Penny's remark.
"Don't talk like that you'll scare her." Grace remarked.
"Well, it's true isn't it Anne?" Penny said.
"Hey, don't get me involved in this argument you started it. Besides, you're scaring Yana here." Mum answered.
"So, what else is happening anything apart from our sons? " Mum asked.
"Ah nothing much. " Penny replied.
"Same." Said Grace.
Penny, Yana, and mum chit chatted for a few more minutes. Grace was exceptionally quiet.
"What's up Gracie girl? You look like you have the most complex hard question ever." Mum said looking at Grace.
"Yeah what's up?" Penny said in agreement.
"Oh, I'm just thinking about something." Grace replied.
"Well, do tell problem shared is a problem solved." Mum said.
"I won a prize almost a year ago. And it expires soon. I was wondering if we should use it to celebrate the news. It has to be used in two weeks." Grace said.
"Ooh do tell." Penny said excitedly.
"Hmm is it going to get us into trouble like our last 'blowout'?" Mum cautioned.
"No because everything paid for. We just have to pay for extra things like souvenirs, fuel, extra food that isn't included in the prize." Grace said.
"Oh, what is it?" Yana asked showing keen interest.
"It's a weekend away in Rotorua. Two nights in a four-bedroom luxury serviced apartment on the lake. It's four bedrooms but sleeps eight. Breakfast for up to eight people daily. Admission to Hell's gate, Polynesian spa, Twilight cruise on lake with dinner. Plus, massages and beauty treatments for up to eight. I asked them and they don't mind if it is less than eight as well. It just can't be over eight people." Grace replied.
"Sounds gooood. I could do with a massage and beauty treatment." Penny said.
"Yes me too, well a beauty treatment that isn't MANmade." Mum agreed, using her fingers to highlight the word 'MAN' referring to our cum.
"Haha agreed." Penny chuckled.
"I've always wanted to see the rest of this country, it sounds nice. Rotorua has the snow or the mud?" Yana said.
"Oh Yana." Penny said placing her hand on Yana's knee.
"Queenstown is snow, Rotorua is mud and smell. That putrid, sulphur smell." Penny said.
"Oh, I would like to go." Yana said.
"Hmm, same but it seems a shame for just four of us to go." Mum said.
"Agreed, what about Janice?" Grace asked.
"No, she's dead against Rotorua, hated it and besides, she doesn't like trips over an hour, and Rotovegas is three and half hours. But we could ask her I suppose." Penny said.
"Brandi, you know the school counsellor she loves Rotorua. I could ask her." Mum interjected.
"Svet." Yana said.
"Pardon? Did you sneeze?" Grace said.
"Nyet,Nyet. Svet is short for Svetlana she is a girl who works in the Russian shop in town. Every Russian know every other Russian here. she also never left this town. I ask her." Yana replied.
Oh, I know, used to be like with the Chinese, now they bloody everywhere." Grace said laughing.
As she is Chinese.
"Hmm" Penny murmured deep in thought.
"Yes Pen?" Mum asked.
