When Jeremy Lucien, formerly of Petit Goave, Haiti, embraced Islam while studying at the University of Minnesota, he experienced a brand new world. Jeremy's good friend Abdullah Ali was present when the young Haitian man converted, and afterwards, they went to celebrate. That's how Jeremy met Adara Ali, Abdullah's mother. The tall, curvaceous Somali Muslim matriarch prepared a feast worthy of a king for her son Abdullah and his good friend Jeremy. Yup, Jeremy now loves being a Muslim and goes to the Masjid every Friday.
The celebration was short-lived, for Abdullah would soon leave town. Jeremy felt saddened by his good friend's departure. Abdullah was one of the first people Jeremy met when he arrived in Minnesota, USA, from the Republic of Haiti. In spite of their cultural differences, the young Haitian man and the young Somali man became best friends. It was Abdullah who taught Jeremy about Islam, and changed his world. Jeremy would miss Abdullah dearly, but traveling is part of life for black immigrants living in North America...
"Jeremy, my brother, I'm going to spend a semester at the University of Istanbul in Turkey, check up on my Hooyo ( mother ) every now and then, please," Abdullah asked, and Jeremy nodded firmly. The two young black men hugged in the airport terminal, and then parted ways. Jeremy headed to the plane, which would leave Minnesota for Europe, and then finally reach the City of Istanbul, Capital of Turkey. Jeremy would miss his good buddy Abdullah sorely. The two young black men were quite close. There's a special bond of brotherhood between Haitian men and Somali men, let no one tell you otherwise...
"Safe travels, Abdullah," Jeremy said, looking skyward as Abdullah's plane left the State of Minnesota, and headed for Europe. Jeremy went back to the University of Minnesota campus, and focused on his studies. He wanted to get an electrical engineering degree and then move back to the Republic of Haiti to work for the Haitian Government. A lot of smart Haitian men and Haitian women leave Haiti, never to return, and wonder why the country isn't as developed as it could be. If America's best and brightest left in droves, the country would stall in matters of development, that's for damned sure. Jeremy is a proud son of Haiti, and a true patriot.
As Jeremy sat in the University of Minnesota library, he took a look around. There were lots of gorgeous young women of all hues on campus, but none of them lit his fire. Jeremy has always liked hot older women, instead of young women his age. At the age of twenty, Jeremy's interest in hot older women wasn't going away anytime soon. The young Haitian student smiled as he remembered one of his early adventures.
