"Whatever are you talking about my darling," I asked Paul with a smile.
"You know Joanne -- just don't."
I burst into laughter and said nothing further. Paul went out of his way to make sure I never met Dale or Karen. He was successful for a while, but he couldn't keep me away from his boss and the boss's wife forever. My husband and I both knew I was going to sleep with the two of them sooner or later.
I had actually gone behind Paul's back and done my research. I always did that. The internet is a useful tool if you're trying to gather some Intel on people. I also called the office where my husband worked and spoke to some of my contacts there -- they were more than happy to tell me what they knew about Paul's gorgeous new boss and his delicious wife.
I was tempted to just go to the office where Paul worked and introduce myself to Dale. I could then corner Dale and get him to take me out to lunch. I was seriously considering that option, but then this work function popped up on the calendar and I just bluntly demanded an invitation. Paul sighed and finally agreed after I had badgered him, without letting up, for weeks on end. And here I was, at long last.
Karen became aware of me first. I was some meters away from her and she was standing in the middle of a crowd of people, but she still sensed my presence. She turned and looked at me. I broke into a grin and raised my glass and toasted her from afar.
I could see that Karen was studying me. She was trying to assess me. I felt her eyes move over me. A smile broke from her and she raised her glass though.
"You are beautiful," I said, moving my mouth, so she could see me speak the words, but could not hear me. "I can't wait to fuck you."
Karen was about my age -- early 30s -- and she was a delicious brunette with a lithe tight looking body and pale skin. She was dressed so elegantly in a long figure hugging dark dress and high heels. She was beautifully made up and well groomed. She looked away and so did I.
I slowly circled and came forward. Karen noticed me out of the corner of her eye. She turned to me. I smiled again and looked away. A second later I looked in her direction again. Karen was engaged in a conversation with another woman, but it seemed the conversation was breaking down because Karen's attention was constantly being drawn away by me.
I saw Dale. He was talking with a small group of men. My husband's boss was in his later 30s I guessed. He was tall and strong. He was the handsome dark type. He was dressed in a fashionable silver suit, which really looked stunning under the subdued lights of the hotel bar.
Karen looked at me again. I saw her turn to her husband Dale and whisper something in his ear. I was making my presence known because Dale abruptly turned his head and looked in my direction. Our eyes met. I broke into a grin. Karen grinned back. Dale ran his eyes up and down me slowly. They started whispering in each other's ears again.
"Well hello there, good looking black guy," I mouthed.
I reached the two of them. I stood there for just a second and gazed at them with a hint of a smile on my lips. I sipped my champagne. I held out my hand.
"Hi, I'm Joanne," I said, looking at Dale first and then at Karen. "I'm Paul's Anderson's wife."
Dale took my hand and gently shook it. He introduced himself and his wife. I looked into Dale's dark eyes and bit my bottom lip. Karen peered past me for a second. She was evidently suspicious. I was smiling and batting my eyelashes at her husband.
"Where is Paul," Karen asked, after finally shaking my outstretched hand.
"He's around," I whispered. "Probably watching us - he likes to do that."
Karen looked confused. I drank her in with my eyes. I didn't want to be too forward at this stage, but I let her know that I appreciated her appearance.
"Oh, okay," Karen said a bit awkwardly, breaking into a smile and then looking up at her husband.
I suddenly reached out and ran my finger over the beautiful diamond earring which Karen was wearing. She gasped with surprise as I did it.
"That is such a beautiful earring Karen," I softly enthused, my finger brushing her delicate earlobe as I caressed her diamonds.
Karen broke into laughter. She looked at her husband out of the corner of her eye. Dale was grinning.
"Thank you," Karen said. "They're family heirlooms."
"Beautiful diamonds for a beautiful woman," I offered with a smile. "You're very lucky Dale to be married to such an angel. Do you like mine Karen?"
"Well sure," Karen said, her large dark eyes shining and sparkling in the hotel bar, her attention on me. "They're beautiful."
"Yes, they sure are," I said softly, looking into Karen's eyes. There was a silent pause when Karen and I just gazed at each other. She blushed. She quickly looked at Dale.
Dale cleared his throat. I quickly turned my head. Now he was suspicious of my intentions. Did he think I was bi-sexual and after his wife? I discreetly stepped forward and looked up into Dale's eyes.
"And you look pretty good as well, boss man," I said. "Paul told me about you some time ago. I had to force the information out of him though. He had a good reason to try and keep you secret."
Dale laughed.
"Why's that," Dale asked.
"Well he knows I have a soft spot for good looking men," I said with a smile. I turned to Karen and ravished her with my eyes. "You're very lucky Karen."
Karen grinned. She ran her eyes over me. She looked back at her husband.
"Such a sexy couple," I said, before raising my glass and sipping my champagne.
Dale's eyes grew wide. Karen watched her husband with a startled expression. The two of them suddenly burst out laughing. Their faces flushed. The penny dropped. They realized that I was flirting with both of them. I was ready for any outcome -- I assumed they would either instantly message me to back off, or they might enjoy the attention for a while and not commit any further, or they just might invite me in closer.
I exchanged some small talk with them, just to make them feel comfortable with this knowledge the three of us shared -- that I was trying to seduce them. I am genuinely interested in people and I love finding out what makes people tick. I casually focused all my attention on this gorgeous married couple. I was easy going. I was funny. I was curious to get to know them better. They opened up to me. They hadn't backed away from me in terror or grown hostile.
Then sometime after that I made my next step. I came closer. I reached out and gently placed my hand on Dale's arm. Karen softly gasped. I kept talking all the time.
"That is a beautiful suit Dale," I chattered, turning and looking in Karen's direction. "Did you choose this for him Karen? You have such good taste, but that's no surprise given how beautiful you look tonight."
"Yes I did," Karen exclaimed, surprised at how forward I was.
"Great taste Karen - oh wow -- he works out as well," I said, squeezing his hard shoulder. I then reached out and stroked Karen's arm. "But I bet you do as well Karen. You're so hot."
"Thanks," Karen said softly, running her eyes over me, "you're pretty hot as well Joanne."
My eyes lit up. I talked on and on, but I was studying Karen with an intent gaze. She was definitely flirting with me. I checked my sixth sense -- I was sure she was bi-sexual. I looked at Dale briefly and he was looking at his wife with a grin. It was going well - Dale and Karen weren't offended or annoyed.
We talked some more. I wasn't exactly pumping them for information. I never tried to impose myself or demand attention. I wanted them to realize what I was there for though. It was all so easy. I held Dale and Karen's attention as we drank. All of the other people, who had milled around us and been involved in the earlier conversations with Dale and Karen, had vanished. It was just the three of us together.
I just kept inching closer and closer. I kept eyeing them as we sipped our drinks.
"Honey can you go and get us all a round of drinks," Karen asked Dale, taking my empty glass and handing mine and hers to my husband's boss.
"Of course," Dale said, turning and walking towards the bar.
