Body Guards for the rich and famous

Rich Saw a grenade rolling toward his client.

He dove to cover it. The grenade did not explode, but Rich's heroism was exposed. Someone took a picture of it, and it made all the papers.

From then on, his office was loaded with calls.picture of it and it made all the papers.

From then on his office was loaded with calls.

Rich and Jo grew up together. They both studied martial arts at the same training center, Rich was black. Jo was white. They attended the same college and got romantically involved.

Rich was a very handsome man. He also was charming. Jo was one of the prettiest girls on campus. They realized they would get constantly hit on. They promised each other loyalty above all else. They both knew what it was like to be popular but did not know if the people around them really cared about them, so it was great to have someone you know you could count on...or so he thought.

They first met on their first day at karate school, they were paired off. Both loved the action. They were to compete against each other until they graduated high school eleven years later. During those years, both were attracted to each other but knew how dangerous it was to go out with a different race. That was part of the fun, they both taught each other things that would have never known before. It was exhilarating.

They both decided to attend the same community college. Rich had chosen criminal law courses. Nancy picked business courses. They often ran into each other on campus. Finally, at a fraternity social, they danced together. For Rich, this was a terrific opportunity. He always carried a crush. Nancy was the prettiest woman he ever met and one of the brightest. He was thrilled beyond belief. Nancy was just as excited. There was electricity in the air it was setting off fireworks. She crushed her breast into his chest. She never felt this close to any other male. It was exciting. She knew he was the one. He was all she would ever want. He had everything: a fantastic body, a handsome face, and an adorable mustache. They started dating and married after they both graduated with associate degrees.

Since they were both strong in martial arts and wanted their businesses, they selected owning a bodyguard shop. There were two types of places they could own. One was a shop where you could use guards to stop crowds from bothering celebrities when they were in public. The other was for severe cases where a person's life was in danger and required close protection.

They chose to work in close protection. The business started slowly, but as their reputation grew, so did their work. Nancy was excellent at organizing all the paperwork connected to the shop. Richie talked to the customers and set up procedures for their protection. They usually both worked an active case. This was one of the happier times in their marriage, oh things were so simple for a while. Trouble was about to walk into their lives and his name was Wally Fox.

Rich had a client coming in today. The person was a folk-singing celebrity with quite a reputation with the ladies. Nancy was one of his biggest fans. Richie trusted Nancy, but he needed more clarification with this guy. The guy's name was Wally Fox. His nickname was Big Cocks. He was always in the gossip columns for messing with another stars wife. He was tall, had wavy blonde hair, and was very attractive. He could talk the panties off of Sister Theresa.

When he walked into the office, Rick immediately regretted agreeing to meet him. Wally started the conversation by telling Rich about his latest conquest. She happened to be the wife of a local mafia boss--not his most brilliant move. Word got out that the boss was irritated.

Wally was scheduled to attend a charity event and felt he should have protection. At first, Rich refused. He knew that Gino, the boss, was vicious. He usually accomplished what he wanted to. Wally promised to pay double what Rich typically charged, which persuaded Rich to accept the case.

Richard made unique plans for that night. He expected trouble, and he prepared for it. Someone would check everyone coming through the doors for weapons. The background of all the hired help would be researched. He hired extra men to circulate in the audience.

Rich took a spot twenty feet from Wally. Nancy was supposed to be circulating. He watched as she walked over to Wally and started talking to him. This was a "no-no". None of the guards was supposed to speak to the celebrity. He immediately ran over to Wally. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw a gun in the hand of one of the servers. He changed course and ran at the server. A shot rang out, catching Rich in the shoulder. He still tackled the assailant. His men went to his assistance, and they held him until the cops arrived.

The EMS took Rich to the hospital. He had a flesh wound, after hours in the emergency room he patched up. Nancy and Wally came to see him. Wally wanted Nancy to guard him the rest of the week. Rich strongly objected. He saw the way that Wally was looking at his wife and he did not like it all. Nancy said she would do it even if Rich objected. She left with Wally. This was a Saturday night. The doctors said he could be released on Tuesday. He asked them to say he would be released on Wednesday. Nancy came early on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday.

Tuesday afternoon, Rich was released. He went straight to Wally's house. He asked for his wife and was led to a swimming pool. She was in a tiny bikini. No gun was in sight, and neither was Wally. The housekeeper said Wally was in his trophy room. When they arrived, all that was present were his prizes for his singing.

The housekeeper said he must be in his other trophy room. This room held pictures of all his conquests and his desk where he did his paperwork. This room was off this trophy room. Rich opened the door.

Wally was hanging from a chandelier. Many pictures of pretty women were on the walls, including the last one hanging, a picture of Rich's wife, Nancy. It really hurt him to see his wife up there on that wall, it felt like his heart was shattering into a million pieces.

The housekeeper called the police. They were allowed to leave after two hours of questioning.

Rich never said a word to Nancy. She knew that he never would again. He would never accept or forgive what she had done. What happened to us always being together? Our loyalty to each other? She knew her relationship with Wally was something that he hated from the bottom of his stomach yet there she was at the house betraying her.

Rich went to his apartment and cleared out all his clothes, leaving everything else behind. Then he went to the bank and took out half their money, about Two Hundred and fifty thousand dollars. Visiting his office allowed him to sign his part of the business to Gerald.

After these chores were finished, he boarded a train to Florida.

Nancy's brain was confused. Wally had told her that no one could get into the house. An alarm would surely go off. Wally had told her it would be impossible for Rich to find out they had sex. He might suspect it but would never have any evidence.

She had lost a client, her marriage and her business. She went into a deep depression. Her girlfriend Ann was her only hope. She was a talented psychologist who might be able to help relieve anxiety and her terrible sadness. Nancy called Ann, and Ann immediately had her come to her office.

Rich arrived in Miami. After finding a room, he called an old friend who owned a protection agency. He wanted a light job. The money was not that important. Bob had him come into his office. Fortunately, he had a perfect job for Rich until he got his head together. A young singer, while on tour, had been brutally raped at a motel. She was now singing at a local club and managing it at night. She wanted someone to take her home and check out her house before she entered it. Simple enough, Rich snapped it up.

Her name was JoAnne Michaels. Bob made arrangements for him, Jo and Rich to meet at the club where she worked. When Bob and Rich walked in, she was singing. Rich felt her voice was incredible, but what impressed him the most was that she was the most beautiful black woman he had ever seen.

Jo had not gone out with a man since the rape. When she looked at Rich, she melted. He was handsome. Bob introduced them. He did not have to stay long. They clicked, and Bob knew it. Rich started his new job with a curtain excitement that he had not felt in since the incident happened, he was happy to be helping this girl out while he licked his wounds.

Jo's duties at the club were to sing the first song, introduce the singers for the night, sing a song at the acts' intermission and sing the closing song. She would then close the club. The club's owner wanted to sell it. Jo had some money, but not enough. She was saving what she could so she could buy it.

Rich and Jo agreed that he would come for the last hour and accompany her home. During her regular club hours, a bouncer would handle anyone who caused a problem.

She finished closing up the club and left with Rich. After Rich had finished checking the house, Jo asked him in for coffee. He joined Jo in a long conversation. They enjoyed each other's company. Rich told her his story about his wife and the celebrity. Jo did not talk about the attack on her but more about the aftermath and its effect on her life.

They soon made it a habit to have coffee and talk each night. Jo seemed to feel safe around him like she could be her old self again. Rich realized that Jo did not go out at all. She had a housekeeper who shopped for all the groceries and handled any problem that required personal attention. After two weeks, Rich asked Jo to go fishing with him. He promised they would go to a private spot other people did not visit. She reluctantly agreed. On Saturday, Rich picked her up and took her to a private beach. They fished for two hours. Jo lost one large fish. She loved it. They then went to a small the way restaurant. They both had delicious meals.

Jo had not had such an enjoyable day since before the incident. For once he felt like he could truly relax if only for a little while and try to melt into the moment,

Joe and Rich spent many nights discussing what they could do to help Jo overcome her fears. They decided that on one of Jo's days off each week, they would visit a place to enjoy a holiday. Rich slowly introduced her to crowds. They went horse racing, fishing, museums, and beaches.

While at the beach, Jo wore a conservative suit. Wealthy wore a small, tight bathing outfit. Jo was amazed at Rich's body. His chest was well developed, and so was his stomach. He was a standout on the beach. At home, they started cuddling on the couch. This progressed rapidly to intercourse.

Jo and Rich fell deeply in love. Rich decided to get rid of a problem. He called Gerald in New York. He asked Gerald to find out how many rapes of celebrities had occurred as they were returning to their rooms. In the U.S.. In the last year, three incidents happened. He asked Gerald to find as much information as possible on where it happened, the witnesses and potential suspects.

One suspect provided enough evidence to convince Rich that he was definitely the perpetrator. Unfortunately, much of the needed proof would not be allowed in court, including the physical evidence he discovered. He was disappointed to hear this news, but quickly thought of another course of action.

Rich had a simple answer. He had a picture of the suspect in a compromising position with the mafia boss's wife. He had it sent to Gino. For some reason, the suspect disappeared. Jo no longer had to fear running into her rapist.

Rich and Jo bought and expanded the club. They live a very happy life.

Gerald, who had run the bodyguard business after Jo and Rich left, died of a heart attack ten years later. Rich went to New York for the wake and the funeral. At the wake, he noticed a nun praying at Gerald's body. It was Nancy. He approached her and started a conversation.

Nancy told him of her deep depression after their breakup and the death of the celebrity. Her psychologist could not help her. She was headed toward homelessness. One night, she was passing a Catholic church. She was not a Catholic but had a strong urge to enter the church. Jo went inside and knelt next to the worshippers. An older priest came out and gave a sermon on forgiveness. He mentioned that god was capable of forgiving anyone. She listened; when she left, she bought a bible and many Catholic books. Jo studied the books for months. She then converted to Catholicism. Jo got involved in the church. This led to her becoming a nun. Jo was happier than she had ever been.

Rich felt closure on the entire episode. Nancy and Rich communicated by mail occasionally. She found her greatest joy in teaching second graders. She felt very blessed. Rich would write about people who came to the club and some of the great singers who sang there. He could not be happier. Jo never stopped loving Rich, and he knew it.
