For the better part of the morning and late afternoon on Monday, Charlotte was anxious and restless. She felt unsure as to what to do with her unexpected weeklong freedom. She did decide that she would have a lazy morning, however, and she slept in until past 9:00 am, something she hadn't done since the twins were born. She didn't fix breakfast either, she just grabbed some cold leftovers from the fridge, and ate that. But, the routine of managing the household each and every day was a hard habit to break, and she did end up throwing a load of laundry in earlier this morning. She was now folding those clothes now that they were dry.

Her chore was welcomingly interrupted by the sound of her doorbell ringing. She stopped folding the clothes and went to see who was there. Today, like most days, she wasn't expecting anyone. When she opened the door, she caught the sight of a delivery driver getting back into his truck. She looked down and saw an Amazon box, forgetting that she had placed the order last night. She picked up the package, and without reason, looked around to see if any of her neighbors saw the delivery, even though there was no way they could have known what she had ordered.

She carried the box into her bedroom and placed it on the bed. She just stared at it for quite some time, the anticipation in her stomach building. It reminded her of Christmas morning when she was a kid, getting ready to unwrap presents.

Carefully she opened the shipping box, and saw another, smaller box inside that contained the toy. Now growing excited, she pulled out that box, handling it much less carefully, ripping the packaging as she opened it.

She finally was able to see her new purchase, a brand new vibrator. The pink toy didn't have as many extra features as other ones she saw online, this was just a simple smooth cylindrical shape. It only had one feature, it could vibrate at multiple speeds. Being her first toy, Charlotte reasoned that this one would be a good choice. It was the Toyota Camry of sex toys. It was simple and got the job done.

Charlotte began to already get wet in anticipation now knowing how she was going to spend the rest of the morning. She quickly picked up the toy and pushed the power button to turn it on.

Nothing.

She pushed the button a few more times, but each time it had the same effect. Nothing happened. Charlotte clumsily grabbed the instruction sheet from the torn box, and quickly started to read through it, hoping that the vibrator didn't arrive broken.

One of the first lines she read under the "Getting Started" heading in the instructions said "Your toy may need to be charged prior to its first use." Charlotte grabbed the charging cable, and plugged one end into the port on the vibrator, and the other into the socket in the wall. A blinking light appeared on the toy that signified that it was in fact charging.

Charlotte felt a little bittersweet. On one hand, she was glad that her toy did not arrive broken. On the other hand, she was disappointed that her self pleasure with it would have to wait. She placed the vibrator down on her end table and then left the bedroom to go back to folding laundry.

Mindlessly, she began folding the freshly cleaned clothes that were in the basket and sorting them in appropriate piles according to what family member they belonged to. She retrieved one shirt from the basket that gave her pause, she didn't immediately recognize it. It was definitely a men's shirt, and it wasn't one of James. She wracked her brain for a minute before she finally remembered that this was Dominick's shirt, the one she spilled a drink on.

Charlotte sat there and stared at the shirt and recalled James' co-worker as he stood in her bedroom and changed. She remembered how incredibly handsome the man was, and she especially remembered his chiseled upper body. She daydreamed about what the rest of his body looked like.

Carefully she folded the shirt neatly and thought to herself, "This is so rude that I still have his shirt. I need to get this back to him today." Charlotte had no idea where he lived, but she knew where he worked. She decided she would just go to James' office and drop off the shirt with Dominick.

She hurried into her bedroom to change, glancing over at her end table as she entered. She noticed that the light on the toy was still blinking stating that it wasn't fully charged yet. "Damn." she thought to herself. She had gotten worked up earlier when she opened up the box with the toy, and it had not subsided thinking about Dominick. She was hoping she could get a quick masturbation session in before she left, but it would not be the case.

Charlotte undressed with sudden purpose. She stripped off everything, including her underwear. She wasn't quite sure why she did it, but she put on a brand new white lace bra and panty set that she just bought just before the accident. She hadn't even worn them once yet. She bought them originally with the idea of surprising James with them one night, but she reasoned to herself that he doesn't deserve the surprise of sexy underwear.

She didn't want to overdress, she was just going to the office to drop Dominick off his shirt, after all. Charlotte pulled out her favorite pair of jeans. They hugged her hips in all the right ways. Then she put on a white oversized oxford shirt, tucking it into her jeans enough so that it would subtly accent her best feature, her chest. She then completed the ensemble with a stylish pair of tennis shoes.

She lastly fixed her hair and sprayed on some perfume. Grabbing the shirt on the way out, she headed for her car, and then off to James' office, hopefully to see Dominick and give him his shirt.

If she wasn't so excited when leaving the house, she might have noticed the police car parked down the street. A policeman sat in the car alone, watching.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Charlotte walked up to the reception desk of the office where James worked. Debra, the receptionist, smiled when she saw Charlotte approaching. "Hi Charlotte! Look at that outfit! You are such a stunner. What brings you here today when James is away?" Debra asked.

Charlotte was friendly with Debra, in fact she was at their party on Saturday night, but did not know her well enough to call her a friend. "Hi Debra! You look lovely today too. Dominick left something at the party on Saturday, and since James is gone and couldn't bring it in, I figured I'd just drop it off for him since I was in the neighborhood." she said while holding up a bag signifying that it was for him.

"Oh, I can just take it and give it to him if you want." Debra said.

Charlotte felt a pang of disappointment with this suggestion. Of course that made the most logical sense, but for reasons she didn't quite understand, she wanted to see Dominick and continue her conversation with him. Plus, she didn't want to have to explain why a married woman was returning a shirt to a single man who worked with her husband.

"Um, there was something I had to talk to him about too." Charlotte lied.

"Oh, ok. No problem" Debra said and then focused on her computer. Charlotte saw that she was typing something as she looked at the screen. "He's actually free now. I'll just send him a message telling him that you're on your way."

Charlotte was pleased that her lie didn't seem to draw any suspicious looks from Debra. She didn't know her that well, and didn't want to be the source of any office gossip. She turned to go to Dominick's office, and then came to a realization. Dominick had just recently joined the company James worked for. The last time she visited the office, Dominick hadn't even worked there yet, so she had no idea where his office was. In fact, she didn't even know Dominick's last name. "Debra, I don't think I know exactly where his office is."

"Just go straight down this hall. His office is at the end and around the corner." Debra pointed, smiling.

"Thank you so much." Charlotte said as she turned to walk in the direction of Dominick's office. She could not figure out why, but she actually felt excited to see him again.

Charlotte made her way down the hall and around the corner like Debra had instructed, and found herself in front of a closed office door. A name plate on it read "Dominick Campbell - Midwest Sales Director".

"Well at least I know his last name now." Charlotte thought to herself. She gently rapped on the door.

"Come in, Charlotte!" she heard Dominick yell from inside his office. She inhaled deeply to calm her butterflies, and entered the room.

She was surprised to see that Dominick was already standing and approaching her as she entered the office. He neared her and opened his arms up to hug her. Instinctually, Charlotte reached out to hug them back and they embraced.

Dominick held the embrace a little bit long for two people who didn't know each other well, but Charlotte didn't really mind. He hugged her tight enough to where she felt her breasts mash up against his muscular chest. She was actually a little disappointed when he finally broke the hug.

"Charlotte, it is so great to see you again! I had such a great time at your party. I loved talking to you and your brother-in-law and sister-in-law. I know it was late, but I didn't want the night, or morning I guess, to end." Dominick said with sincerity.

Charlotte didn't respond. She was lost looking into Dominick's deep blue eyes, and she was reminded how gorgeous this man truly was.

Finally, after an awkward amount of silence, Dominick said "So what brings you here?"

Charlotte finally snapped out of her trance and stumbled saying "Oh...um...I brought your shirt! I mean, I cleaned your shirt and brought it. I wanted to bring it to you...I mean..." Charlotte took a breath and gathered her composure. "I cleaned your shirt. I was going to have James bring it into the office, but he's gone for the week. I was in the neighborhood, so I figured I'd drop it off for you."

Dominick wasn't stupid. He was well aware of his looks and the effect he had on women. Ever since he was young, he was considered "cute", and when puberty hit, he transformed into being "handsome". His combination of good looks and great personality have helped him bed countless women since he first lost his virginity at age 13. He smiled to himself seeing the effect that he was having on this beautiful wife of his co-worker.

He subtly checked out the young wife. Her green eyes were the first thing that would grab anyone's attention. They not only stood out when accented against her brunette hair, they outright dazzled. Even though her shirt was oversized, it was still not big enough to hide the sheer size of her breasts, but he already knew how big they were from the embrace earlier. And the jeans she was wearing accentuated her hips perfectly. Her make-up was done perfectly, and he smelled a bit of perfume on her when he went in for the hug.

He smiled to himself, realizing that she carefully crafted how she looked today, knowing she was going to come and see him. Plus, the office building in an industrial park, really not next to much of anything. There was no reason she would be "in the neighborhood" other than to be here right now.

Dominick now was starting to question his original assessment of this beauty. He had assumed that this woman was conservative and religious, and would feel too much guilt to pursue anything. But now he was reconsidering this. The way she looked and acted right now definitely didn't seem conservative nor religious. "This could be interesting." Dominick thought to himself as he smiled at Charlotte.

"Oh, gosh, thank you so much!" Dominick said as she handed him the bag with his shirt in it. "I'm afraid I don't have the shirt that I borrowed from James, it's still at my house. I'm sorry to say that I haven't even cleaned it yet."

"Oh, no worries. I wasn't expecting it. I just felt bad about spilling the drink on you." she replied.

[BING]

Dominick's phone sounded a text notification. By reflex, he looked down at it, and saw that there was a text from James.

Since the time that Dominick joined the company, James has been trying to become his friend to the point that James was almost developing a "man-crush" on him. Dominick believed that James admired and was almost jealous of his single lifestyle. He incessantly asked about his exploits. He constantly used any excuse to come down to his office to "shoot the shit". Plus he asked him to lunch or happy hour whenever he could. That is the reason that James invited him to the party on Saturday, hoping it would bring them closer as friends. Dominick half suspected that he threw the party more for him to come over rather than a celebration of his wife getting better from her accident.

This also was something not new for Dominick. In addition to women wanting to be with him, men often wanted to be friends with him. He used both to his advantage over the years.

He looked at the text. Coincidentally enough, it was from James. There was a picture from behind of some woman walking down a street in Manhattan. She had a tight skirt on and a well-rounded ass. The picture was obviously taken without her knowledge as she was walking in public. The text that accompanied the photo simply said "I LOVE NEW YORK!". It was sophomoric and crude. It was a typical text that he would get from James.

"Speak of the devil." Dominick said. "James just sent me a text."

Charlotte was a little taken aback. Her husband had not texted or called since he left yesterday, but here he was texting a coworker. Almost embarrassingly she asked "What did he have to say?"

"Oh, just something about meeting with the client today." Dominick said, but Charlotte could tell that he was lying. "Listen, I've got to run to someone's office to grab something real quick, but don't go anywhere. Ok?"

"Sure." Charlotte said, and then Dominick left the office in a hurry. After he left, she took a look around his office, trying to get a sense of what kind of person Dominick was.

It was easy to tell that Dominick recently moved into this office. There were almost no personal effects decorating the room, just generic corporate artwork on the walls. His desk was covered in piles of paper. She only saw one framed photo that hinted of anything personal, a photo of what appeared to be a young Dominick and a dog. Charlotte's heart melted. Dominick looked incredibly cute as a child, and she also absolutely loved dogs. She had wanted to get one ever since she got married, but James had no love for and no interest in getting a dog.

Charlotte's eyes continued to look over Dominick's desk. She suddenly stopped scanning when she noticed that he left his phone on his desk. She stared at it for a moment, and wondered what James had sent Dominick. Dominick didn't have a good poker face. She saw him grin slightly when reading the text. That was a reaction someone didn't typically have to a work text. She looked back at the door to make sure it was closed, and then picked up the phone. Luckily for her, it was still unlocked. She quickly opened up the Messenger app, and pulled up the text from James. And that's when she saw it, the crude sexist text that her husband sent. He had thought more about ogling a woman, taking a photo, and sending it to a coworker, than he did about calling her. She looked at it for a few more seconds before putting the phone down. She was fuming mad at this point.

Dominick stood in the hallway outside his office, waiting. He had made an excuse to leave the room, and he purposely left his phone on the desk, unlocked, in hopes that Charlotte would be nosy enough to look at it, hopefully seeing the text from her husband. Dominick knew that Charlotte was attracted to him, but it might take a few little pushes before she acted on anything.

He determined he had waited long enough and then re-entered his office. Dominick noticed that she looked a little more sullen than she was when he left, she must have looked at his phone. Time for the next push.

"Hey, it's almost 5 o'clock. There's a place right down the street that we can go to get a quick drink. It's the least I can do to thank you for driving all this way just to return my shirt." he said.

Charlotte was taken aback by Dominick's suggestion. She thought it was bold to ask a married woman out for a drink no matter how innocent the request might have been. She was especially concerned with what James' coworkers might think seeing her leave the office with Dominick.

As if he were reading her mind, Dominick said "It's not far, just a short walk. I have a couple of things I just have to finish up here, so you can head out and I'll meet you there. Please say yes!" He stared into her eyes as he pleaded, causing Charlotte's heart to flutter.

Charlotte looked at the phone on Dominick's desk, and thought about the text from her husband, and made her decision. "Sure. Why not? I'll head out now and get us a table." She quickly turned and made her way out of the office, and then out of the building. On the way out, she said goodbye to Debra, who was already packing up to leave for the day.

Dominick smiled as he watched Charlotte head to the tavern from his office window. Things were going very smoothly, almost too easy. He surmised that Charlotte must have some repressed feelings she's been keeping bottled up for quite some time. He would try to unbottle those feelings tonight.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dominick took extra time before he made his way to the tavern. He gave Charlotte enough time to order a drink, finish it, and then start on her second. The purpose of waiting would be two-fold. First she would already hopefully be a bit buzzed from the drinks, and secondly, if he didn't make her wait, it would make it seem that he was too eager to meet her, and thus tip his hand as to what his intentions were.

When he finally got to the bar, his time estimate was perfect. He saw Charlotte sitting at a table, already halfway through her second drink.

Dominick gave a signal to the bartender as he walked up to the bar, someone that he was quite familiar with, since he visited this bar regularly. Most people would have just assumed that the signal was to order a drink, but Dominick had come up with a scheme with the bartender that when he gave that signal, just to serve him tonic water and a lime, but act like it's a vodka tonic. Dominick used this ruse when he was with someone, and wanted to appear that he was drinking alcohol when in fact he wasn't. It allowed Dominick to concentrate on the task at hand, and right now his task was Charlotte Thompson.

Charlotte's face lit up when she finally noticed him approaching the table, faux drink in hand. "Finally! I was starting to wonder if you were standing me up!" Charlotte joked.

"I'm so sorry! Some people stopped me on the way out. My dad would be so mad at me right now, he always told me 'Never keep a beautiful woman waiting.'" Dominick said with a sly grin.

Charlotte blushed at the compliment. Ever since being married, she hasn't elicited many compliments. Most men that she knew, except for Leo, wouldn't consider it appropriate to pay a compliment to a married woman, and most of the women she knew were either too competitive or too petty to pay another woman a compliment. Her husband hardly ever gave any compliments. So the unsolicited remark from Dominick boosted her ego.

The twosome continued to chat and drink for the next couple of hours, much like they did the night of the party. Charlotte was charmed by Dominick. Not only was he ridiculously good looking, he also had a wonderful personality. His conversations were engaging and inclusive of her. He cared about what she had to say, something she hadn't realized until now that has been missing from her life.
