Soft Beginnings

This is the first of numerous stories about our experiences the past few years. They are, for the most part, accurate to the best of our recollection. We may have embellished a bit here and there, and of course the names have been changed to protect the guilty!!

We have had a wonderful and most fortunate life so far. A combination of good work situations (both had 'government' jobs) which allowed us to retire with modest but adequate pensions while in our 40's, and an inheritance received at about the same time, has brought us to where we are today.
