This story has turned out far longer than I had intended after the first chapter. I wanted to tell a story. I had ideas of how I wanted it to go. I strayed a bit from my outline. To me, a story is like a long road trip. The journey is as important as the destination. You see things along the way and stop and look.
Be forewarned. I incorporate aspects in this story that push the boundaries. There are elements of domination/submission. I could easily have been submitted in the Fetish category, but I like to keep the whole story in the category I originally post it.
All characters participating in sexual activities are over eighteen.
=============
"Wow, I am floored!" Karen offered as we got to the car. "That blew me away! I could not believe Sheila opened the door wearing those tight ass shorts and tee shirt. You noticed she was not wearing bra or panties either, didn't you?" Of course I had. The prominent camel toe and her hard nipples made that clear. Sheila rarely wore a thong and even more rarely went commando. The few times she did while wearing a dress she was more uncomfortable than aroused. "Oh no doubt. Her statement about not having any place for a recording device was certainly true. "I don't think she'd have been as embarrassed if she was naked when she answered the door. And her excuse was not having a recording device?. Total bullshit! That was my first thought. It became clear later I was right."
"And when she started telling her story I was equally shocked. And to think we shared the same fantasy." Karen said. "If I had expressed my fantasy to her all this would not have happened."
"But it did." I replied. "I was pissed to hear she had gone to Rebecca to have an affair, lesbian or not. I might have gone along if she had brought it to me to discuss." I admitted. "I mean when you described your fantasy, I got aroused. And you didn't even go into detail."
"Yeah? If I DO tell you in detail, will you fuck my lights out?" Karen asked, playfully. I asked her didn't she think this was a little early. "Not at all. Not after what we just heard. It might be a little early for me to ask you to marry me. And I fully intend to ask you soon if you don't ask me first. I am ready. I know you need a little time. I don't. I made my decision years ago. If you ever divorced or were widowed, I'd stake my claim. Are you absolutely sure you are going forward with the divorce?"
"Why do you keep asking me that?" I groused. "I told you that I have no intention of accepting her deceit. And of all the women out there, it would be you I'd want in my life."
"Because I want some assurance." she said. "Plus today's revelations were an eye opener. I am trying to wrap my mind around what it all means." I said I was also shocked. I wish I had recorded the conversation when Sheila made the offer. I thought all we were going to hear would be bullshit about Turner and whatever excuse she offered about him would make no difference in the long run. Karen smiled, and confessed. "I recorded it and I'm damn glad I did. I did not want anybody to know."
"How? You put your phone on the table with mine after we turned them off." I asked.
"I have a little recorder I use at work. My boss and I discuss things he wants to make sure is in the paperwork. I record it so I don't miss any details. All it takes is to punch a button and it starts recording. It has a belt clip. It was under my shirt the whole time we were in there. It is super sensitive. it probably even picked up Becky ordering Sheila to clean the house and her saying 'yes ma'am'.
"You do realize the whole meeting was a show." Karen went on to say. "A very informative show but it was planned none the less. Let's go to the coffee shop over on Main street and sit and talk for a while before going home. The kids are going to pounce on us as soon as we walk in the front door. I want to talk this out between us first. I'm very glad you did not get too angry. I could tell you were about to blow up a few times. And you came close to standing up and leaving when you found out who Alyssa was. I would have put a hand on your arm and tell you to sit and hear them out."
"Yeah, Rebecca ordering Sheila around pissed me off." I admitted. "I may be divorcing the cheating bitch, but I still don't want her abused. I thought at first she was trying to rub my nose in it, then she acted like it was just a demonstration of Sheila's submissive mode as she called it. I'm still not sure."
"That was part of the show." Karen said. "Oh, don't get me wrong, Sheila was not aware what Rebecca and Sheila were going to do or say. Her reactions were totally genuine. She is not that good an actor. I'm betting Rebecca and Alyssa told her to trust them and they would take care of things."
We ordered our coffees and sat outside in a shaded area so we could talk without being overheard. "Wasn't most of what Rebecca and Alyssa said bullshit? I mean what they said totally incriminated themselves. Alyssa should not have been there in the first place and if she is representing Sheila why would she say some of that stuff?" I asked.
"Slow down." Karen said. "Let me tell you my thoughts. I may revise them a bit after I listen to the recording and pick up more details. But this is my initial perspective. First of all I think the facts we were told are accurate. The conclusions, not so much. Alyssa, even if she is Sheila's lawyer could talk to you if she is willing and you are willing to listen. But she got damn close if not actually crossing the line to be accused of not acting in Sheila's best interest. She was acting in her own and Rebecca's interests. I'm sure of that."
"The reason lawyers don't want you to talk without them present is they don't want you to reveal something they'd prefer be hidden. Alyssa knew every bit of the story would come out sooner or later. She just wanted to get her story out first the way she wanted it slanted. You noticed she sort of shushed Sheila a few times. That was an attorney keeping her client from saying something that could hurt her case. I'll bet Sheila asked her what she should do about the divorce and Alyssa offered her advice for free. Lawyers are expensive. Three hundred bucks an hour at least. Even our estate business is that much. I'm betting Alyssa gets a little more because of the type of law. And I know Sheila does not have a lot of spare money. I'm sure Alyssa gave her solid advice and told her how divorces go in a community property state like this. They talked it all over several times this past week."
"Your demands followed the law. They are pretty much the standard divorce with the exception of the alimony. Alyssa giving that up so easily is certainly not in Sheila's best interest. Her whole goal was to keep you from forcing Sheila to sue for sexual harassment. She knows full well Sheila can always do that on her own no matter what she agrees now. I have no idea how they will convince her not to do that later, but I have some ideas. My point here is Alyssa opened herself up for trouble." I told her that was what I thought and shouldn't I just reject the new deal? I want to sue the company at least.
"I doesn't matter what you want. Like you say sometimes, "you ain't got no dogs in that fight." Karen said. "Alyssa was both right and wrong with what she said about what would happen if Sheila sued the company. I don't know if she has any idea I am a paralegal and knew part of what she said was bullshit."
"Sheila can certainly sue. She has a case. Her settlement might be mitigated a bit because she freely admits she initiated their affair but she would still get a decent settlement. By decent I mean a few year's income at least. Not millions. Otherwise many people would be out there actively trying to seduce their bosses so they could have sex a couple times, then sue and retire. How many cute secretaries would come on to their bosses until they found the one receptive boss then sue and retire before they are twenty five. That would become a career. Forget being the trophy wife."
"Most people get the wrong impression when they see those big lawsuits in the news. Some of those are people are making big salaries already and having to leave the job is as much a part of the settlement as anything else. And the attorneys ALWAYS get their cut just like Alyssa said."
"Sheila would certainly get a nice separation package as well as money for having an affair with a supervisor. But that is a poor reward. I say that because I'll bet she will lose her job. We are in an 'at will' state. That means an employee can be fired for any reason at any time unless that firing is illegal or the person is under contract. Wrongful termination cases rarely go far unless there are firm grounds. The company will simply pay her off to go away and give her a good recommendation. They would have a legitimate claim her continued presence on the staff is 'disruptive' or 'non-conducive' to a good work environment. Every person in the company will know the circumstances sooner or later, probably sooner."
"Jason would also probably get fired, again for his presence being disruptive. Like Rebecca pointed out he is not Sheila's supervisor but might have influence. If the company has a written fraternization policy they can use that to fire the people involved unless they can prove the company knew and condoned the activity.
"In may sound unjust because you are the innocent victim here but you have no part in all this. Sheila would have a case. You can't sue any of them for alienation of affection. That got thrown out long ago in this state. Whatever award Sheila got would be totally hers, not yours. You would not get a nickel any way it shakes out unless you stayed married, of course. That was why I asked if you were sure you wanted the divorce. Later the money would be community property. And you'd get half if you divorced then. But you'd certainly get hit with alimony if she did not have a job with a high enough income."
"I would not stay married to her if she hit the lottery!" I declared. "Well, I might stay for a while until I got my half and then leave."
"The person who will lose the most is Rebecca. She'd lose her job. And probably leave with nothing more than being paid for accrued vacation and a severance package which might be fairly generous depending on her contract. That was her main goal today." Karen said, continuing her explanation."Alyssa is trying to prevent that. Rebecca claimed she talked to the CEO and president. She tried to make it sound like like they understood and were supportive. Wanting to keep all three on board for the good of the company. That is complete crap. I'll bet Rebecca was told to fix the situation. Make the problem go away or her ass would."
