Pleasant Valley -- New friends help save a marriage
Jim and Lisa Robertson owned Pleasant Valley Resort in a small rural town in Ontario, Canada.
Jim walked out of the hardware store and started across the parking lot to his car. He was 30 years of age, five foot eight inches tall, weighed 155 lbs, had dark hair, brown eyes and was clean-shaven; not muscular but in good physical shape.
Jim noticed two people standing beside a car having a serious discussion. As he reached his vehicle, he heard the couple talking at the vehicle, that was next to his. "I don't know what to tell you; one garage is not answering and the other two can't look at it till Wednesday and won't be able to fix it for at least a week," the guy said to the female he was with.
Jim turned to them, "What seems to be the problem?" he asked.
The couple looked at him. "I am Tom Wilson this is my wife, Kelly," he said. "The car started acting up as we came into town. A bunch of lights came on and it seemed to want to pull to one side. I am not sure how serious it is and I am afraid to drive it in case it causes more damage."
Jim looked at the couple, Tom looked to be about, five foot seven inches tall, weighed 150 lbs, had brown hair, hazel eyes, clean shaven and close to his age. She was around five foot six inches tall, weighed about 105 lbs, with short blond hair, blue eyes, and a 32-28-34 figure maybe two or three years younger.
Jim nodded "I am Jim Robertson," he said, "Who have you tried in town?"
Kelly exasperated hung her head and said "Everyone, accept the one that won't answer."
Jim looked at his watch and laughed, "Crawley's," he said, "That is Pete, he is probably on lunch."
"Where are you going?'' asked Jim.
"Pleasant Valley," said Tom "How far is that from here?"
"About a 20-minute drive," said Jim. "I am heading there myself, throw your stuff in the trunk and I will give you a lift."
"We couldn't impose like that," said Kelly.
"Sure, you can," said Jim "I promise I don't bite; I might nibble a little if given the opportunity," Jim laughed. "I promise, I mean you no harm, I will get you to Pleasant Valley safe and sound. Besides if Lisa found out, you were here and I never offered a ride," said Jim. "I would be in so much Shit."
"Who is Lisa?" Asked Kelly.
"My wife," said Jim then it dawned on him "I am so sorry," he said, "I can be so rude sometimes, let's back up a bit, I am Jim I am married to Lisa, and we own Pleasant Valley Resort."
"I can call Pete this afternoon and tell him the car needs to be looked at ASAP," he said. "We went to school together; Pete would not see a tourist stuck, he can call you at the resort and let you know how bad it is."
Just as they finished transferring luggage over, Jim saw Sam, the owner of the hardware store, "Hey Sam, come here for a minute please."
Sam came over "What seems to be the problem?"
Jim smiled "This is Tom and Kelly; they are staying at Pleasant Valley for a few days and have some car trouble. Pete is on lunch; I will give them a ride out there and call Pete this afternoon to look at the car; will hold the keys and he can get them from you?"
"Sure," said Sam "No problem."
Tom handed over the keys to Sam and got in Jim's vehicle; Tom sat in the front Kelly sat in the back behind him.
They started down the road "So, what made you decide to visit Pleasant Valley?" asked Jim.
Tom and Kelly had been married for seven years; however, over the last two years, the passion had slowed down to almost nothing. They were hoping to use this time away to rekindle the spark that was once there. However, Tom was not about to share this information with a stranger.
"We needed some time away," said Tom. "It sounds like a nice place, and it is listed as an 'adult' resort, so no kids are running around screaming."
Jim laughed "True," he said "However, the main reason it is listed as an adult resort is privacy. The resort caters to people who like casual dress and are not ashamed to sunbathe nude."
"Excuse me!" said Kelly "Is this a nudist place?"
Jim smiled "Nope," he said "Lisa and I are non-judgmental. If you want to walk around nude that is your choice, if you want to sunbathe naked have at it. There is one couple that walks down to the beach every morning wearing nothing but a smile. They swim for about thirty minutes and they go back to the cabin."
Jim looked in his mirror Kelly was smiling and staring at him, "I have a friend," she said, "Who says this is just a swingers get away; is there any truth to that? we looked online but there was no mention of it."
Jim thought for a minute, "I will tell you, it probably happens amongst guests, but the resort is not exclusive to swingers. I will admit we have heard that story too. I think it came around because, three years ago we were paid handsomely to host a swingers' weekend; we filled all the cabins and the trailer park, maybe your friend was here for that."
Tom and Kelly both laughed.
Jim slowed down and put on his turn signal. Pulled into Pleasant Valley driveway, they drove slowly for about five minutes before the resort came into sight. Jim pulled up to the office helped unload the vehicle and said, "It has been a pleasure meeting you, I will chat with you soon and I will tell Pete to call you." Jim got in the car and drove away.
Lisa opened the front door and saw Tom and Kelly, "Hello" said Lisa "I heard voices I thought maybe I was going crazy or maybe my husband brought a friend home."
