Never had Xavier felt as guilty in his entire life as he did today. As he ran the bath for Audrey, he felt miserable for treating Lucas as he did last night. Clearly, it had gone out of hand. As he saw the water pouring into the bathtub, he was lost in thought and a feeling of apathy came over him. He wished he had not been so hard as he did with Lucas.

As he came out of the bathroom, he saw Audrey sleeping peacefully and instantly affection towards her flooded his being. He sat on the edge of the bed and stroked her head tenderly. He saw her as a younger sister who needed affection and love and he couldn't help but reach out and kiss her forehead which he did.

The feel of warm lips on the forehead woke up Audrey. As their eyes met, a genuine smile shoot across her face. The conversation which they had last night, left Audrey assured that what happened between them would never happen again. What assured Audrey, even more, was the promise made by Xavier of having a man to man conversation with her husband and giving him back his wife to him.

As Audrey climbed out of the bed and got ready for her bath, Xavier stood up and made his way out of the room. He was surprised to see Lucas sitting outside their room, asleep and miserable. His face displayed the marks of dried-up tears. The very sight of him was a punch in Xavier's guts.

A gentle nudge and then calling his name was enough to wake Lucas up. Wiping his face with sleeves, he groaned as he took time to adjust to the unfamiliar surroundings. The hard wooden floor on which he spent the night and the familiar face who stole his wife the same night, brought him back to reality. The tired and worn-out eyes were once again flooded with tears.

"We need to talk," Xavier said as he joined Lucas on the floor.

"We overdid it last night. It was an act to make you realise how ignorant you were of your wife. A lady like her deserves much more than a roof over her head and food in her plate. She needs a man who would love and treat her like his wife."

Lucas was dumbstruck. His widened eyes signalled the procession Xavier's words.

"She still loves you, Lucas. What you saw last night was an act. It was merely sex and there was no exchange of emotion. You two are a married couple and it would be wrong for me to break this union. And once you were gone, I assured her that this was only to make you realise your fault."

Lucas gave Xavier a defeated look. "But she said she loved you. What I saw last night was love. She had love for you in her eyes..."

"She loves you much more. Over a period of time, you were blinded by your carrier to notice the love she had for you."

After a long pause, Xavier said, "She was eagerly waiting for you inside. Claim her back. Show her how much you love her."

Lucas didn't waste time in getting up. He made it to the door and upon opening his gaze fell on his wife who had finished her bath and had a towel wrapped around her. Xavier entered the room and closed the door behind him. He observed Lucas who had tears welled up in his eyes.

"Do you have the ring with you?" Audrey asked.

Pulling out his wife's ring from his finger, he handed it over to her which she wore gladly. The couple exchanged a long passionate kiss after which the wife unwrapped the towel and let it fall to the ground, displaying her nakedness to the two men. As she climbed on the bed, her eyes met that of Xavier who nodded in affirmation.

"Make me your today, honey. Claim back your wife."

Crawling at first, moving towards the bed, Lucas stood up. Climbing on top of the bed, he came close to Audrey, who eagerly kissed him. As the kissing got more intimate, she moved her hand to unbutton his shirt, which he then, threw it aside. His belt was unbuckled, zip pulled down and trousers removed, before he laid himself next to her. His hard member was pressed against her belly, his arms around her and his lips kissing her lips which then moved to kiss her neck.

Xavier, who was seated on the chair, spread his legs to give relief to his hard member. He did not attempt to touch his cock as he felt the moment was sacred. The moment of intimacy between the couple was hot, yet holy. The wife had changed her mind about divorcing her husband, who had neglected her for so long, while the husband was more aware of the blessing she was to him. Lack of communication between them had been the major cause of a wedge, which was now being healed with the primeval act of lovemaking.

Xavier turned his face away only to look in the mirror which displayed the couple engaged in their act of love. The husband had moved down to feast on his women's sex. He hungered for it after the previous night's episode. He licked her like never before; her outer lips, her inner fold and her clit, while the wife moaned with pleasure; a pleasure she longed to experience. She caught hold of his hair while he wrapped his hands around her thighs trying to please her as if it was his last day on earth.

Audrey let out moans of pleasure as her fingers caught hold of Lucas's hair instinctively, as she lifted her head to look at him and then fall on the pillow, gasping for breath. She was wet and her husband's tears made her sex wetter, making her more excited as she continued pulling his hair. She had longed for her husband to treat her that way.

Pulling him towards her, looking at him in the eyes lovingly, nodding in affirmation, she gave him a sign. She was in control, she was the mistress, she was queen and she needed her man to claim her back. Lucas taking the hint, directed his hard dick into her fold. With moans and groan, they pulled each other close, as his masculine physique pressed against her feminine body in affection.

As he moved to and fro, giving her pleasure and getting the same in return, they sealed their moan and groan with a kiss. There was no hurry, no desire to cum, let alone the wish to end. They were in the moment, their marital union as they became one with each other, sharing their selves as their bodies rubbed against each other kicking in more pleasure. The thrust was now deep, hard and fast.

It was Lucas who came first while Audrey failed to cum. Kneeling in front of her widespread sex, grabbing hold of his dick, he began to stroke it, attempting to bring it back to life and make it hard again. Tears welling up in his eyes as he failed to last long and cumming much before Xavier did.

His fears were put to end with the intervention of his wife. Audrey moved to grab hold of his limp cock and began to stroke it. His wife's magical hand had an impact on his body, but she moved on to lay herself on her belly, and take his member in her mouth. His first blowjob! His hand moved to her head and he began gently caressing her head as she took him deeper inch by inch. One hand holding his dick while the other caressing his scrotum, working together to get him hard to continue their act of love.

Their effort soon paid off as Audrey felt his member springing to life and becoming bigger. Even with him hard, she did not cease her efforts. She continued sucking and caressing his member attempting to repay for making her climax but more importantly, let him know that he was forgiven and accepted. After having convinced him, she lay on her back spreading her thighs and letting him know that she was ready to accept him again.

Xavier, having seen the entire episode, felt it was his time to move out, out of their life. The end was attained despite having chosen the wrong way. He always believed everything to be relative and what mattered is the point of view. The end mattered and he had achieved the end of having brought the couple close to each other. He got up from the chair and made his way to the door. As he turned the doorknob, he took a final look at the couple before moving out. He couldn't help but bring to mind his first encounter with Audrey...

11 March 2018

I entered through the glass door and made my way to the table reserved for me. Only for me. The sound of soft jazz floating around the room, which is disturbed by the clattering of plates and spoons and some audible chitchat. The waiters, dressed in their black and white attire waiting on their customers in a manner most pleasing to the customers, enough to earn them a decent review. Each one confined to spend their attention on the one on the table and not to the ones around.

I take my seat, all alone, leaning back. My mind wanders around the memories of the past, of the present place. It is the same place I proposed her and celebrated our first wedding anniversary. Though her physical absence is evident, her spiritual presence is equally evident. I cannot help but sigh.

"Sorry about your loss, Sir," I heard a voice.

It was Jaeison, the waiter. He had been present when I was first introduced to this place, on my first date, my proposal and my first wedding anniversary. Clean-shaven, grey hair and brown eyes. He had been a witness to the most memorable incidents of my life. His soft yet comforting tone assured me of his apathy.

"Sauvignon Blanc, please," I said.

"Anything else, sir?"

"Only this, thank you."

Leaning forward I placed my elbow on the table and cupped my face. It didn't take long for the thought to enter into my mind. 'It's time to move on.' That's what would make her happy. I sighed and looked at the table around me. Joy and happiness everywhere. The child on the table in front of me, staring at me as the elderly lady, supposedly his mom, feeding him. I couldn't help but smile. 'I would have been a father by now.'

As I continued to observe the people around, a familiar face caught my attention. A face, I and my late wife had made and assumption about, last year. Sitting alone on the table meant for two, waiting anxiously for her husband to arrive. Charlotte guessed and told me that the lady had been stood up by her boyfriend or lover. But one year later, she waits for her lover in the same fashion. 'Same place, same date, same time and yet the same story. She is definitely married.'

Sipping her wine, looking at the door time to time, and scanning the room with anxiety spread across her face. She looked troubled as same as last year, but this time her disappointment was made visible.

"Here is your wine, Xavier," Jaeison said he poured the wine in the glass.

"Do you know that lady in white, sitting all alone?" I asked.

"Audrey. Married to a workaholic husband, who apparently has forgotten all about their wedding anniversary," Jaeison said as he put the cork back on the bottle and placed it on the table.

"Thank you, Jaeison."

'What would you do if you were here, Charlotte?' I took a sip from my glass and rolled the wine under my tongue. Wiping my face to the napkin on the table I stood up and made my way to Audrey's table.

"Hi, ma'am. I am, Xavier. Do you mind if I give you company till your husband arrives?" I said as I took a seat.

Present day

I lay on the bed holding close the soft penguin toy, a gift from my late wife, Charlotte. The faint sound of an incoming message on my phone caught my attention. Grabbing hold of the phone, and wiping my sleepy eyes, I managed to open the message. I was surprised to see a text from an unknown number. 'I am going to be a mom soon. Thank you very much for everything - Audrey.' I checked the date which read 14 November 2019. I sighed, as I felt my heart skip a beat. My mind instantly began to wander around the old game of 'What if?' Dismissing the temptation of thinking about the possibilities, I held the penguin close to me as I drifted into oblivion.
