"Well here goes nothing," Jeff says as he pulls a card. He gets a huge smile on his face as he reads it, "oh yeah this is going to be fun."
"Wait what does it say?" Patty asks nervous about the way he's smiling, he hands her the card and she turns bright red as she reads it, "OH MY!"
The challenge read 'we go into a sex shop separately and you ask everyone in the shop for a recommendation on what they think you should buy, and then buy it all'
She turns the card over to see that Jeff wrote the challenge, "You really want your wife and the mother of your children to go into a sleazy porn shop and ask all the perverts inside to tell me what to buy?"
And with a huge grin he simply answers, "Yes."
"I don't think I can do something like that."
"Well you can always veto it, but who's to say that's not one of the more mundane challenges."
"Do I have to decide right now?"
"I guess not. Let's say we each have an hour after drawing a card to veto a challenge. That work for you?"
"Yes I guess so. I guess I'll give you an answer in just under an hour," she says as she leaves the room.
For the next 40 minutes she debates with herself whether she could go through with asking strangers to tell her what to buy at a sex shop. The thought of total strangers making her buy different sex toys turns her on, but what if someone she knows sees her there. Are a few minutes of kinky fun worth the risk of a life time of embarrassment?
She is still undecided but leaning toward vetoing the challenge when Jeff comes in the room, "Times almost up."
"Yes I know thank you very much."
"Here I found this maybe it will help you decide what you want to do," he says as he hands her his phone.
He has a web site for a local adult toy store pulled up, and she reads through what is there. The shop is about half an hour's drive outside of town on its own lot with no other businesses nearby, so if they do run into anyone they know there she wouldn't have to be as embarrassed because they would be there for the same reasons. As she reads through the comments on the store they all seem to be positive; they talked about the great selection, how the staff was polite and helpful, how the store was kept clean, how that the one time a customer caused problems that person was escorted out and blackballed from the store. The only negative comments where about how there was no video arcade or glory holes.
"I found a few closer to home but they seemed more low-scale," he tells her, "If you agree to do the challenge I'll let you pick which ever location you like."
"I was leaning toward using a veto but after reading that I think I'll be fine to do it, if we go to that store."
"Like I said you pick which one we go to," Jeff tells her again. Then with a grin, "You know it's still early enough we could drive out there now."
"Seriously right now?"
"Sure why not?"
She tried to think of some reason to wait but can't, "Well okay. I guess now is as good as ever."
Soon they are in the car and on their way to the Highway 69 Adult Toy Barn.

Despite the good reviews on the internet Patty expected that they would find some dirty, rundown, old store on the side of the highway. As they pulled into the parking lot she was pleasantly proven wrong; the building appeared to have been built is the last few years and had been well maintained and the parking lot was well lit.
After finding a parking spot they made their way inside; again Patty was somewhat surprised by the reality of this place compared to what she imagined. She had expected a dark, grimy store with narrow shelves filled with sketchy customers; but no it looked like any other large store if fact until you looked closely at what was on the shelves you might think you were in one of the large retail stores.
Patty was still taking in her surroundings when Jeff whispered in her ear, "Ok babe I'm going to go browse around, you know what you have to do," and gave her a quick slap on her ass before walking down one of the aisles.
She nervously browsed around for about five minutes before she finally got up the courage to approach the first person. He was probably in his mid forties, in good shape, well groomed and handsome; Patty was a little surprised he was in a place like this, "Excuse me."
"Yes miss?"
"This might seem a little strange but... could you maybe... I've never been to a place like this and I was wondering if you might give me your opinion on what I might buy?"
"Sure," he smiled, "but what kind of thing are you looking for?"
"Well you see," then she explained about the challenge. When she finished she just looked at him, "So can you help?"
He smiles at her, "Ok first you and your husband sound like a fun couple and second I think I know the perfect thing for you. Here I'll show you."
Patty follows him over to the clothing section where he stops and hands her a box, "Here my wife and I love these."
"Oh my," she says as she reads the front of the box, REMOTE CONTROLLED VIBRATING PANTIES.
"It comes with a small vibrator that slips into a small pocket in the front of each pair of panties that can be controlled by the remote that comes with it and has a range of about 500 feet or the company also has an app you can download on your phone so it can be controlled from anywhere."
"Wow I can honestly say I never expected to own remote controlled panties, but I am very much intrigued," Patty says as she picks out a few different panties in her size.
"I'm glad I could help. I'm sure you'll really enjoy them," he tells her before they go their separate ways.
After breaking the ice with the first person the rest were much easier, for the next hour she went up to everyone she saw and asked for the opinion on what she should buy. Of course she had to deal with more than a few guys suggesting going home with them but after telling them she was happily married all but one backed off; he finally backed off when Jeff came up and told him to get lost. She looked around and didn't see any customers she hadn't talked to so she started toward the register when she heard the door chime.
When Patty saw who just walked in she panicked and looked to Jeff who just smiled and motioned her to go to the new arrival. Patty could feel herself blushing as she made her way toward the door; of all the people in the world that could have walked in why did it have to be this one. The new arrival was looking over a shelf of DVDs as Patty came up behind them, "Hi Molly."
She quickly spun around with a mix of shock and embarrassment on her face, "MOM!!"
"Hi sweetie," Patty says barely above a whisper.
"Oh my god mom what are you doing here," she whisper yells. She then looks at the basket full of porn and sex toys, "Mom what the hell?"
"I can explain sweetie."
"Explain! Really? My mom is in a sex shop with a basket full of porn and dildos, does Daddy know where you are right now?"
"Yes I do," Jeff says as he walks up to them.
"Daddy?"
"Hi princess let us explain before you get anything in your head," she just nods and they explain why they are there that night as a way to keep things fresh, but didn't mention anything about the box of challenges. "So any questions?"
"No, not really. I mean this is weird running into my parents at a sex shop but we are all adults so why don't we go our own way and pretend this didn't happen."
"We can do that," Jeff tells them, "but your mom needs your help first right Patty?"
"Are you really going to make me do this?"
"You bet," he grins.
"Fine, Molly what would you suggest I buy?"
