Heather asked me the other night. It was one of those times when I wasn't sure if I should keep my mouth shut or tell the truth.
I figured, after all, she married me knowing my past. What would be the harm of answering honestly? She phrased her question in as non-threatening a manner as possible. If I didn't know better, I might have thought she just wanted to gloat a little, or maybe she just wanted me to tell her an erotic story of my past, in all its sweet detail.
You see, my wife, Heather, recently found out about this site, and my participation on it. She has also read all of the stories that I have posted here over the years. As you may know, if you've read my postings, they are not all about her. This was the motivation for a great deal of discussion in our house of late.
Heather and I have been married for nearly four years, and as my more recent postings will suggest, I am deeply committed to her and deeply satisfied by our life together. That said, I have posted stories about my life before I met her, and only recently has she discovered them. Although she knew about my ex-girlfriends and about my "exploits" with them, she had an interesting response to reading my earlier postings about Robyn.
"Is there anyone else you need to write about?"
It was an interesting question. I was torn. One the one hand, I thought: "Hey, You're married, and your wife rocks! Tell her no, and be done with it." On the other hand, I remembered that I'm a guy, which means I'm not that smart overall, especially when it comes to matters of the heart and groin.
So she asked, and I answered, for better or worse,
"Well, there was Sarah..."
Heather sighed. She of course knew about Sarah, but she'd never really thought of her in a literary sense. Of course, when I was with her, I wasn't thinking of her that way either.
"Well, go on and write it then, but I get final editorial approval," she replied as she walked out of the room, leaving me to my memories. She really does rock.
I had just finished my freshman year of college. This was before I took up with Robyn and long before I met Heather. It had been a pretty crazy year for me, and I'd had my share of noteworthy experiences. Towards the end of the year, I became romantically involved with two different women: Kendra and Lauren. I cared deeply about them both, and as we left school for the summer, I was still involved with each of them. Lauren even met my mother.
