The tension had been building up all throughout the meal, the casual touches and the knowing looks built the anticipation of the real dessert they had promised each other. Not a word passed between them, it didn't have too. Their bodies and eyes were communicating the oldest message around between a man and a woman. With the bill paid they held hands and walked the short distance to the hotel, their bodies pressing closer together with each step.
It was unusual to pay for a hotel room by cash these days but they had agreed to book in as the "Jones's" with their wedding rings removed.
The young receptionist looked bored when they walked in. She should have been out enjoying herself, far too young to be stuck working on a Saturday night she thought. Mind you, it looked as if she had had her hair done and she had beautifully polished nails. Perhaps she was going on the town when her shift finished.
With the paperwork done the receptionist gave them a knowing smile as if she was in on their little secret. "Mrs Jones" even blushed when she gave her a sly knowing wink and said " I hope everything is to your satisfaction madam."
Her heart was beating faster as he opened the door to their room. All those dreams of the past weeks were about to become reality when she heard him whisper "Shut your eyes." He stood behind her and placed a hand on either hip as he manoeuvred her further into the room.
She had dressed simply and casually for the evening in her jeans and favourite white sleeveless top.
"Lift up your arms," he whispered.
She followed his directions and felt him curl the bottom of her sleeveless top up over her head and clear of her arms. She automatically started to lower her arms to her side but he took her hands and placed them on her head.
"Keep them there," he whispered into her left ear.
