Chp. 6 Fly Fishing on the Snake River
We woke the next morning tired and sore. The women were really showing the signs of aches and pains. Jan was suffering from general soreness, but poor Beth hobbled around the house and looked miserable.
I asked about her health and she said that she was sore, but the pain she felt kept her in a constant state of arousal.
No one seemed ready to leave the house, so I asked Jim if we could stay on for one more night. He agreed and I made some phone calls and cancelled another hotel. We'd have to drive straight through to Idaho if we were going to make our reservation for our Snake River fishing trip.
We relaxed all day out by the pool and ordered in some food. Jim and Beth said they were glad to have company.
The next morning we said our goodbyes. We were kind of sad to leave. We thanked Beth and Jim for their hospitality and for treating us to the party. They gave us both hugs and said that we needed to keep in touch. We made sure we had both their cell numbers and off we went.
We drove most of the day with me behind the wheel for most of it. We got into the lodge about dinner time. Doug, the owner, explained our itinerary and showed us to our room. We would stay tonight at the lodge then leave tomorrow with Sam for two days and two nights of fishing. Jan has never fly fished before but I had done some up in Wisconsin. I've wanted to try bigger waters for sometime and this was the perfect trip to do it.
We ate in a large dining hall that was adjacent to our rooms. We went for a walk around the property and down to the river. We stood watching the river while Jan leaned against me, wrapped in my arms. We stayed there until dusk then moved our way back to the lodge.
We went to bed soon after and woke at 5 for our early breakfast and trip up river. After breakfast, Doug introduced us to our guide Sam. As she approached, I was a little startled. I expected a man. Sam was about 5'10" and very athletically built. She greeted us with a smile and a handshake.
"Hi guys, I'm Sam. Are we ready for some good fishing?"
I nodded yes and Jan chimed in that she had never tried it before.
"Don't worry. I've got gear packed for beginners and the experienced."
We followed her down to the boat launch and she went through the days itinerary.
The plan was to reach a sandy beach about 2 hours up the river, then set up camp. We would spend the rest of the day fishing. If it was successful, we'd stay there another night. If not, we'd move tomorrow morning.
As we drove, Sam asked us about our experience level. We talked about gear and the area around our camp. She said that there was a place right near our camp that would be perfect for Jan to learn, and it was not too far from some areas I would probably like.
Pulling up to the side of the river, there was a nice flat area that looked liked a camping area. We pulled the boat up and tied it to the shore. Pulling it up as far as we could, we started unloading. Sam quickly set up our tents and got us settled. We had nice sleeping pads and fresh smelling bags. She gave us a light and a small table.
She provided us with a quick lunch and we headed down to get started. Sam let me pick my gear and checked me out on it. Satisfied, she showed me which flies to use and pointed out some areas I should start on.
I walked about 200 feet down river and started casting. Looking back, I saw Sam explaining the basics and trying to teach her the rhythm of casting. I moved to an area that had some quiet water and casted. Sure enough a trout popped up and took the fly. I was in my glory.
After about and hour Sam walked down to my position and checked in on me. She said Jan was learning but it was going to take a while.
Sam left and I fished for a while more. I got 4 nice size trout. As the sun started to disappear below the mountains, I headed back.
Walking along the tree line I was about 50 feet from the camp when I spotted them fishing. Jan was in the water up to about her shins and Sam was behind her. Sam was helping Jan cast. It looked like they were almost dancing. Sam was pushed against Jan's back and was holding Jan's hand on the rod. As they motioned back and forth, I noticed Sam's other arm was around Jan's waist.
I leaned back against a tree for a moment and watched. Every third or fourth cast was pretty good and Sam would show her how to string the line. With every successful cast, Jan would cheer. It was cute. Sam would cheer also and they'd do a little dance.
After one particularly poor cast, I saw Jan lean back and Sam wrap her arms around her. They stayed like that for a moment then started casting again. After a few more minutes, it happened again. This time they stood still for quite a while. Sam was saying something to Jan and she smiled.
Jan turned her head towards Sam, and their lips met. Sam slid her hand up and cupped Jan's tit while moving her tongue in her mouth. After a moment, they stopped kissing and Jan rested back into Sam's arms. She caressed her tits gently and kissed the side of her neck.
I started walking into camp and whistled so they'd know I was coming. They went back to casting until Jan reeled in her line and walked up to greet me. We talked about the days fishing and then Sam told us to relax and let her work. She handed us a bottle of wine while she grilled dinner.
The food was excellent and we sat around watching the fire and enjoying the quiet. Sam suggested we stay here for the last day of fishing, as it was pretty good. We agreed and sat around and talked. Sam was a college athlete in two sports. She grew up fishing with her dad in Montana and loved it. She wasn't married but had a steady boyfriend.
We decided to turn in and Jan walked to the river and splashed water on her face. I followed then we headed into the tent. We left Sam sitting by the fire listening to her headphones. Once zipped in, we laid quietly and I told Jan that I saw her kissing Sam. She smiled and said they were really hitting it off.
After about 20 minutes, Jan turned to me and said she wasn't tired and she would sit with Sam a while. She smiled at me, shrugged her shoulders and left the tent. I laid there peering through the flaps as Jan exited. Sam took her headphones off and smiled. They sat talking for a while. I heard Sam ask if I was feeling ok. Jan said I was just tired and already asleep.
Jan remarked how beautiful the moon was reflecting off the water and walked to the edge. Sam followed a second later and walked up behind her.
I watched as Sam took her arms and held her. From behind, she rested her head on Jan's shoulder. They stood for a moment and then Jan turned, looked at Sam and locked lips. They were kissing softly, slowly and I could see their hands rubbing each others back. Jan started kissing her neck, nibbling on her ear. Clearly excited, Sam took Jan's head in both hands and passionately kissed her. After a minute or two, She pulled away and walked back towards the fire. Sam went into her tent and brought out a blanket.
Laying it by the fire, they sat down. Things were quiet for a time. They laid next to each other, and talked quietly. Sam rested her hand on Jan's hip and then pushed her hair out of her eyes. Sam talked about the fact that she was bisexual and that her boyfriend knew. She asked Jan if she'd ever been with a woman. Smiling, she talked a little about her time with Beth.
Sam whispered, "I want to kiss you again."
"What's stopping you?"
"You both hired me and I don't want to make you or Tom mad."
"Trust me, Tom will have no problems with this. He's probably watching now."
Sam turned and looked; I froze in place.
Sam spoke next, "Tom, are you watching us?"
"Yeah, I'm here. You two look beautiful."
"Is it ok if I make love to your wife?"
"If it's ok with her, it is fine with me."
Sam threw her leg over, straddling her body. She kissed her lips and neck. I got up and walked out of the tent and sat in a chair by the fire.
