One of the most read, discussed, extended, and perhaps reviled tail of betrayal is the story universe first described by

George Anderson in his "February Sucks"

(

www.literotica.com/s/february-sucks

). A quick search of the archive returns 3 plus pages. So many works and words you would think that everything that could be said has been said.

I would love to offer my version(s) of this story but writing erotic fiction is not my cup of tea. Ask me to prepare documents on "Deploying Call Centers in a Cloud Environment" and I'm you guy. There are few plot points that have not been explored. I am hoping that others, much better writers than me, might take up the challenge to expand the FS universe.

In GA's original work, Linda (our Villainess) leaves her husband Jim (our Hero?) to spend a night of fantasy sex with Marc LaValliere (our Villain). She has a few dances Marc then exists stage left (the back door) without a word to her husband.

She then returns the next day saying "

I'm Home... It's still me, the same old me as always.

Linda is normally portrayed as someone who doesn't think beyond the end of her nose. Very self-absorbed. She apologize for hurting Jim but not for her betrayal of him. She just not get how her decision will and did impact Jim and the rest of her family.

Jim has been a 'normal' working guy, a biker, a "fix-it" man, a super spy, related to gangsters, etc. To me, what makes this story so memorable is that if Jim is just like the reader, we can imagine this happing to us. Did we marry up and of so is there to much of a gap between our Linda and us as Jim?

Or perhaps we just did not know our Linda as well as we thought. The "same old me" is perhaps true, Linda was always just a small step away from taking what she wants at the moment and the husband and family be dammed.

My preferred "Jim" takes positive steps to keep his sanity and his kids close while dealing with Linda's betrayal. This has taken many forms from opening the marriage to a shared divorce where the kids say in the house and the ex's have their own place somewhere else.

Using these basic plot points, hundreds of alternate endings, story settings, character behaviors are explored. Some stories are BTB, others RAAC and all points in between. What I am offering are few unexplored avenues that I believe are worth exploring.

Recently there have been a few (2?) stories where Linda's and Jim's parents are at Jim's house when the love birds return. I really liked this twist to the story. Linda can't shade her adventure when their parents are firsthand witnesses to her whoring around.

** Plot Point 1 - Linda telling Jim directly she's leaving with Marc **

In all the stories, Linda sneaks out the back without a word to Jim. How would the plot develop if she had the foresight to approach Jim (with or without Marc's accompaniment) to inform Jim of her intentions to return the next day. To paraphrase many cheating wives "I just have to do this. It won't change anything between us dear."

If Linda does this, does it show her understanding of what she is about to do or is she delusional? The discussion and/or pronouncement of her (Linda's) decision would be enlightening.

** Plot Point 2 - Linda saying more than one night **

Almost all of the stories have Linda returning the next day. (There is one version where she is kidnaped and held for 2 years by an old spurned lover.)

If she stayed the weekend or longer (a trip with Marc somewhere?) how would Jim's reaction change? Would this prompt Jim to be more reactive to this or would he try to gain some type of control over his actions and reactions to Linda's behavior?

** Plot Point 3 - Serving Jim with Linda's petition for divorce **

There are a number of stories in which Linda eventual divorces Jim. In a few of these she becomes a couple with Marc. In at least one version Linda and Marc have had an ongoing affair. They intend for Linda to divorce Jim on their calendar sometime after the night out.

What if Linda has Jim served with divorce papers at the dance? How would he react? Did he have foreknowledge of their relationship? Maybe he has Linda served instead?

Perhaps Linda's and/or Jim's parents are in on the plan and get the kids from the baby sitter and retrieves her luggage from the hotel room while the drama unfolds else where, leaving Jim truly alone without any family for support.

** Plot Point 4 - Linda cheating on Jim **

In a few of the stories in the FS universe, Linda and/or Jim prevents her from leaving with Marc. The best along this line is Saddletram1956's "Cheater's Gallery EP. 04: Linda" (

"Cheater's Gallery"

).

Suppose that Linda and Jim escape from Marc's seduction and have a night to remember as planned. Unplanned of course is Linda's infatuation with Marc that then leads to her starting an affair with Marc (and perhaps others now that her motor is running hot)

To those of you who take up these ideas, a big thank you. To the rest thank you for reading.
