I've been chastised by the literotica admins. Apparently, they are not happy that I've been a member for over two years and have yet to submit my own version of the George Anderson 'February Sucks' story.
I've read lots of really good (and otherwise) follow on stories and I've tried to do something a little different here.
Hopefully you have read George's original '
February Sucks
' story. If so, then you will recognize where this version picks up the story.
So, here is my humble contribution to the 'February Sucks' legacy.
"Jim? Jim, I'm home." Linda did her best to sound like she always did when she came home from running errands. She went through the motions of closing the front door and turning on a light.
She felt like nothing had changed and she was sure she looked exactly the same as that night.
"It's still just me, the same old me as always. There's nothing different; nothing has changed. My love for you is just the same as it was yesterday."
Linda saw Jim standing across the room with his arms crossed, tapping his foot impatiently and with a peeved expression on his face. She heard Jim respond, "Well that's not true. You have been a naughty girl, haven't you, Linda"
"Jim, honey, ..."
"Now don't 'Jim, honey' me. Admit it. You behaved very badly last night, didn't you."
"I'm sorry Jim, I never meant to hurt you."
"Was it everything you expected?"
"Jim, I know you have questions. I know we need to talk, and I'll tell you whatever you want to know, honestly and completely. But are you sure you want to know... that? I'll tell you honestly, but I don't want to hurt you."
She saw Jim grinning as he walking towards her, "Now, now, Linda. Don't you worry about hurting me. It was just one night. After all, what's the worst that scoundrel LaValliere could have done?"
Linda smiled. "I know, but I'm afraid that telling you what happened will hurt our marriage. Can't we concentrate on the future? We can't let just one night ruin our whole lives."
Linda saw Jim relax, smile and heard him say, "Our marriage, what we've built together over almost ten years, is far stronger, and more beautiful, than what one night could break. Our love is built to weather storms and last a lifetime."
Linda threw her arms up in joy. "Oh, thank you Jim. I know I need to make it up to you, and I will, whatever it takes. But above all, I know you love me enough that eventually, you'll get past your hurt and we'll be fine."
She felt Jim hug her and saw him look lovingly into her eyes saying, "Oh Linda, you are the love of my life. I could never stay mad at you."
At that moment, Linda heard the stereo playing the last slow song she and Marc LaValliere had danced to before she left with him. She looked questioningly at Jim as he smiled and said, "Yes, I need to reclaim my wife and that starts by reclaiming this song as our own."
"Oh Jim, thank you! You've made me the happiest woman in the world."
And with that, Linda started turning slowly as she danced in Jim's arms.

The young orderly assistant walked into the security room, set a cup of coffee down on his desk and looked up at the row of monitors. He watched the pretty woman in the white hospital gown for a few minutes. He chuckled and shook his head as he observed her twirling around with her arms held out as if she was holding someone.
"So, what's the deal with the lady in Room 6?"
