Letting the tension build is one of the most dramatic ways to write a story. There is an act of passion, fury, daring courage or dreadful evil on the first page. You follow the action with bated breath, waiting for the resolution, and when it comes, you can finally relax. You draw a long breath, not realizing that you have been holding it for some time, and sigh. If you enjoy stories of suspense and thrills, some very good writers have contributed stories that will keep you hanging by a thread.
