April and Bonnie
Part 1
Living a few doors down, April and Bonnie grew up together. They went to the same schools. They were the best of friends, even better than sisters. April and Bonnie, like most girls growing up, experimented with kissing. They practiced on each on bathroom mirrors at home. They practiced on each other with hopes of knowing how to kiss a boy when the time came.
April had 'dirty blonde hair, green eyes, and a wonderful smile' while Bonnie had 'Shoulder length auburn hair, brown eyes' coupled with a wicked smile that made many guys melt. Both had lips that just begged to be kissed.
They knew each other's bodies, from gym class but not intimately. They noticed each others bumps and lumps in all the right places as they developed over the years.
Their parents were also good friends and spent many days together at picnics, ball games, barbecues, camping, etc. Like most high school girls, they went to Prom and Homecoming with their dates. Of course, they were bathroom buddies or potty pals, whichever was easier to say. They knew each other's special time of the month and were so close they were on a day or two off of each other's.
April and Bonnie were not interested in going to the 'Big Universities' many of their classmates attended after their senior year. Community College was fine with them. They both enrolled in General Ed class for the fall semester.
After graduating with with an AS degree, April went to work for her dad, full time, who had been a plumber for many years and eventually opened a plumbing supply store that was getting busier and busier. April's older brother, Matt, helped out at the counter and with deliveries along with their Dad while she answered the phones and kept the inventory control and lots of paperwork.
Bonnie worked part-time while in high school at a fast-food place and learned to hate the smell of greasy food. She endured until after her graduation from high school, she then went to work part-time in a large department store while taking classes at the local Community College. She liked the discounts she got plus the work hours, and the pay wasn't so bad. The bonus, she met a lot of people, especially young guys. She liked working in the Men's Dept. and flirting with the customers. Like April, she got her two year Associates degree and thought about furthering her education.
Bonnie was always checking out the guys and tried to guess what they were looking for. Sometimes it was easy, she thought, '
Guys go after what they need: socks, underwear, jeans, or a shirt. Maybe they would shop for a suit
.'
She always headed for the cute guys that came in looking for clothes. She even managed to get a date or just coffee with a few of them.
April, on the other hand, spent most of her day in the office or warehouse and sometimes took over the counter when deliveries were made or for lunch breaks. She did spend a lot of time on the phone, either answering questions or dealing with salespeople. She always imagined what 'they' looked like as she was talking with them. She thought she could tell a 'hot guy' on the phone by the way he talked, his voice, and his sense of humor, which attracted her. This one guy she liked talking with and was dying to meet, Bryson.
Bryson is a plumber, just like her dad was. They would often talk on the phone while he was working on a job somewhere locally. April enjoyed his voice, '
strong and manly
.' He sounded educated and didn't swear too much. He told her that he wasn't into tattoos or piercings other than women with earrings and "long hair belongs on a woman's head."
She daydreamed about him while at work in a pair of dirty jeans and work boots. His shirt was off in the hot afternoon sun, skin shiny with sweat and bulging muscles, tight abs, and down to his tight waist. April almost started rubbing herself discreetly through her yoga pants while listening to him talk and dreaming of his body. She was interrupted by her dad walking into her office. April was embarrassed and quickly disconnected the call.
"He hasn't asked you out yet, honey?" was dad's question. He had noticed her on the phone and what she may have been doing, he also knew that look in her eyes.
A couple of days later, Bryson called to order some parts for a job the next day. Her dad answered the phone and told Bryson to call back; he'd let it ring so April would pick up. "Dammit, Bryson, ask April out, you should see how she acts when you're on the phone," Dad told him.
April answered her direct work number; it was Bryson. He was all business, and she wrote his order down for the job tomorrow. She repeated his order to confirm the parts, and she asked, "Is there anything else?"
"Yes," He replied, his voice changing to a slightly lower pitch, "May I meet you for coffee after work today?"
April felt like she might faint, and after a pause, she accepted. She agreed on a place and time.
The coffee shop was within walking distance from her work, and she decided to walk.
April had never met Bryson in person; he was always in the field working, and they delivered the parts he had ordered. She could only imagine what he looked like.
"He sounds so cute on the phone." She told Bonnie later that day over the phone.
April thought the clock was broken; the minutes just dragged by. In a moment of self-reflection, she realized that she was very anxious to meet this man she only knew by voice and his words. Then her phone rang again.
It was after 5 pm when April finally disconnected the long phone call. She hurried and collected her belongings and started heading for the door. Matt said, "Are you going to lock up tonight?"
"Oh shoot, Matt, can you do it? I'm gonna meet someone for coffee, and I'm already late." April pleaded.
"Yeah, ok, I gotta covered, sis, but I wanna know who the guy that has you so excited!" He replied.
April was late getting to the coffee shop, and when she stepped inside, she saw a few guys, but most where with someone else. Then she saw a guy suddenly stand up, he was alone, smiling at her. Their eyes met.
April would later tell Bonnie her feelings as
"The woosh you get when you first light the gas log in the fireplace, it just bursts up in flames and stays lit, it warms you that sudden expectation of joy."
She unknowingly put her hand on her chest to make sure everything was good with her heart and that she was still breathing.
She knew right away this was Bryson as his smile matched his voice. She lit up at the sight of him; he was big and muscular. April was taken aback by his shirt sleeves that were stretched with bulging biceps. He had short blond hair, kind of a crew cut, which she thought looked great on him. Tanned skin from working outside.
Though his clothes and skin were a bit dirty from his work, she understood.
She walked to him, and he offered his big hand to shake and introduced himself. She grasped his and thought how small her hand was in his and looked up into his soft blue eyes. She could hardly speak. They held hands for some time, lost in the moment, as both seemed to feel the electricity running through them.
April also noticed that he was very manly smelling, not B.O. but that masculine aura that caught in her senses.
Bryson held a chair out for April, and this wowed her again as she sat and he adjusted her chair. He then put his hand gently on her right shoulder and asked, "April, what may I get you?"
April had never been lost for words; she always had something to say. She realized that he had knocked her off her game. She stammered, "Latte," and caught herself, "Please."
'Oh god, Wrangler butts drive me nuts,'
she thought as Bryson went to order her drink. She noticed that her panties were getting damp from all that was happening and now getting to look at
'That nice, tight ass. I can't wait to tell Bonnie.'
When he returned and set her drink down, he said, "I should have asked if you wanted something to eat, I'm sorry, would you care for something?"
April replied, "No thanks, that's so nice of you, and thank you for the Latte." Regaining some of her composure.
He pulled his chair out and sat down across from her. When he looked into her eyes again, he said, "I'm happy you agreed to meet me, I don't know that much about you and didn't know if you liked coffee. It would be awkward to ask you out to dinner over the phone. I have wanted to ask you out, but it never seemed like the right time until now."
"Oh! So, your bashful?" April responded with a grin on her face.
"Yeah, a bit, I guess. Sometimes I mull it over in my head so many times, then when the time comes...I kinda freeze. I'm very happy to meet you in person."
"So, Bryson, tell me a little about yourself. We have talked in generalities on the phone, but nothing substantial. Do you have a girlfriend or significant other?"
"Wow," he said, smiling at her "Well, I'll give you the 6 No's and a couple of yes's"
