Matt waited impatiently at the hotel continental breakfast. He knew he screwed up. But last night he felt a safety net that allowed him to screw up. Matt is coming down from the high of being a groomsman in a wedding for a former frat brother. And after a night of irresponsible fun he is feeling hungover and regretful.
"How didn't I notice LeAnn and that other guy last night?" Matt thought to himself. He was a shitty, neglectful husband last night. Well, most nights for the past several years. And it seems like his wife has had enough.
Matt awakens from his self-doubt as LeAnn and an old man enter hand in hand. Sopping wet in their swimsuits. An excited LeAnn skips and waves at her husband. She isn't mad, Matt isn't sure how to take that.
"Hey, honey." LeAnn says as she pecks Matt on the check before sitting across from him. She snuggles up next to this bald old man without any concern for PDA. "Thanks for letting me go out again this morning. You're actually going to be letting me do that a lot from now on."
LeAnn is so giddy and Matt is so confused. He looks this strange old man up and down. He has to be at least 70 and close to 300 pounds. Matt doesn't consider his wife to be much of a catch, but he assumes she could do better than this.
"I'm sorry." Matt says, feeling incredibly dejected. "What is happening? What happened?"
"First off, I don't know if I properly introduced you." LeAnn says kindly. "This is Albert. And we had fun getting to know each other at the reception last night while you were partying. So we figured we'd just let the fun continue."
Albert leans forward and shakes Matt's hand.
"Shouldn't we do this in private?" Matt asks his wife, assuming she's leaving him.
"Oh, honey. We're not breaking up, I love you." She leans forward and kisses him. "But last night with Albert was an awakening that I've been needing more. So something has to change with our marriage."
Matt squirms, this is not how marriage is supposed to go.
"You had so much fun last night." LeAnn continues. "I recognized that, but it didn't involve me. You didn't even pay attention to me."
"I'm sorry." Matt interrupts, feeling like an idiot.
"Don't be, darling." LeAnn assures him while her hand is caressing her new suitor's shoulders. "Last night helped me realize that you have needs that don't involve me. And I have needs that don't involve you."
Matt is feeling a bit less humiliated as there is a logic in that. He did feel like himself again for the first time in a long time. And he recognized that there's a spark back in his wife that he hasn't seen in years.
"So I'm fine if you act like a drunk, young idiot." LeAnn tells him. "But I need you to be fine with me being sexy and free."
Matt did see her as sexy and was actually getting hard observing her with Albert.
"I mean, we could try it." Matt slowly realizes. "If it makes you happy."
LeAnn leaps out of her chair and kisses her husband deeply.
"Oh, babe. As this continues, Albert and I feel like it will make you happy too." LeAnn says to an intrigued husband and proud paramour. The three finish breakfast, with Albert's warm personality actually putting Matt at ease. He gradually forgets his worries about other people seeing this spectacle, as his thoughts race with the potential of how sexy his wife is going to be.
