Sydney looked across the crowded club and saw Mya. Immediately, she was awestruck by Mya's incredible beauty and the gracefulness with which she moved about the room. There was something about Mya, though…something Sydney couldn't quite put her finger on.
She continued to watch, eyeing Mya's every move until it dawned on her…she'd known Mya in college. With that knowledge, Sydney approached Mya and reintroduced herself. The two exchanged hugs and pleasantries as they began to catch up.
Sydney discovered that Mya was in a relationship, a fact that left her with a sudden sadness. While she certainly wanted the best for Mya, she couldn't help but be envious of her lover. In college, Sydney had intense feelings for Mya, but could never bring herself to act on them…a mistake that she'd regretted.
Sydney found herself in a very awkward position. She didn't want to come between Mya and her lover, as it was obvious that they had a loving relationship…but she was tormented by her renewed passion. It was getting late, so the two decided that they should meet for dinner and continue catching up…after all, quite a bit had happened in their lives since college. They hugged once more and said their goodbyes, going their separate ways for the night.
-----------
The hours preceding their dinner 'date,' Sydney struggled with all the emotions that seemed to come out of the blue. She hadn't expected that she'd react so strongly to Mya, and wasn't sure how to handle her feelings.
Her mind recollected the many fantasies she'd had involving Mya, but one particular fantasy stood out. She imagined Mya lying naked on a white shag rug before a fireplace…just waiting for Sydney to make love to her. Sydney caressed every inch of Mya's body, leaving a trail of feathery, light kisses and licks. She totally adored Mya's body and wanted to take her time appreciating it. Finally, she brought Mya to the edge and induced such pleasure that Mya seemed almost delirious.
Now, that fantasy was all Sydney could think of. She vacillated between doing nothing and formulating a plan to seduce Mya at their dinner meeting. The hours seemed to drag on mercilessly as she debated her options.
----------
Mya spent the day remembering the good times she'd had with Sydney. They'd spent hours just talking while they were in college and became the best of friends. Something haunted her; however…she'd had romantic feelings for Sydney, but never knew how to handle those feelings. She wasn't sure if Sydney was a lesbian, and she certainly didn't want to risk damaging their friendship. So, she kept those feelings to herself, but found that they seemed to be resurfacing since reuniting with Sydney. She told herself that she was in a committed relationship, and that anything sexual with Sydney was completely out of the question. Still, she couldn't ignore the sudden longing that she felt to finally tell Sydney how she really felt.
Her train of thought was interrupted when her lover came home from running some errands. She was filled with guilt and her lover picked up on it immediately. "What's wrong, my love?" she asked.
Mya didn't know how to respond, but she managed to utter, "I'm just feeling a little off today, that's all."
