That Night in Vegas - A Soccer Women Story
[This story occurs "off stage" during Soccer Women 3 and the beginning of Soccer Women 4. It is theoretically a standalone story. It takes place at the end of the night and the next day of Katie and Melanie's Bachelorette Party. It is about what happened after Jessica got Jo and Margaret to come back to her room and maneuvered Carol to go to Jen's room. If you know what that means, you are fine to read this story. If you don't really care what that means, there is enough explanation to have the story make sense. If you want to know what this means, please read the other stories first to set the stage for you.]
"So, what the hell is going on?" Jo Napoli did not understand why her girlfriend (Margaret Reinhart) and this Jessica Williams chick (who was somehow connected to Carol Rogers but was someone Jo did not know at all) had pulled her into Jessica and Carol's room and sent Carol off to Jen Smith's room.
Carol Rogers was the mother of Katie Rogers and Jen Smith was the mother of Melanie Smith. Katie and Melanie were going to be married in a few months. Jo and Margaret had been the hosts of Katie and Melanie's joint Bachelorette Party which had just finished for the night as a rousing success.
Katie, Melanie and Jo were all teammates on the Women's Soccer Team at their University. Margaret was a Cheerleader there as well. That is where they had all met. Jo and Margaret were dating and things seemed to be getting serious. Both Jo and Margaret had extensive and varied sexual histories and neither was adverse to recreational sexual experiences. In fact, Jo and Margaret had originally been a recreational sexual experience for each other.
Neither Katie nor Melanie had any sexual partners before each other and wanted to consider possibly expanding their horizons a little. Jo had been more than willing to help them and the three of them started a sexual relationship to go along with their existing friendship. Katie and Melanie did not wish to move beyond adding Jo into their lives. However, Jo continued with her escapades.
It was around this time that Jo and Margaret had met. Jo managed to convince Katie and Melanie to include Margaret in their fun. The thing was, instead of bringing Katie and Melanie further into the recreational scene, the influence of being around Katie and Melanie (and seeing their love for each other) impacted Jo and Margaret. Soon Jo and Margaret were spending more time with Katie and Melanie (and each other) and less time with anyone else. It was not that they stopped seeing anyone else, but now Jo and Margaret were pairing up with each other to engage in their recreational activities.
As part of the set up for the Bachelorette Party, Katie's mother and Melanie's mother had been invited to come as well. They would get a day with just their daughters before everyone else got there. At the time of the planning, Jen was in a relationship with Susan McPherson. Since Susan would be coming along with Jen, Carol was able to bring a "plus one" as well. Carol's husband (and Katie's Father) Paul had died in a plane crash less than two year prior. Currently single, Carol invited Jessica Williams to the party as her plus one.
Carol and Jessica had an interesting relationship. They had initially met when Jessica was the third for a threesome with Carol and Paul. Carol had remained in touch with Jessica and over time Carol became almost a surrogate Mother for Jessica. Jessica's own mother had died when she was young and her step-mother had turned her own father against her. Jessica had no relationship with her parents at all. Carol, with her nurturing disposition, filled the void for Jessica.
When Paul died, Jessica had come to his funeral and that eventually led to Katie and her two older sisters finding out that their mother and father had entered the swinging lifestyle shortly before Paul's untimely death. They also learned that their mother had a previously ongoing relationship with another woman. Although she never told them who it had been, that other woman had been Jen Smith.
When Katie told Melanie everything that Carol had told her, Katie and Melanie thought that the facts added up to this unknown woman being Jen Smith. Melanie hated her mother's girlfriend Susan. Ever since they had made their guess about Carol and Jen's previous relationship, Melanie had been trying to find a way to break up her mother and Susan and get Carol and her mother together. It turns out she was not the only one with that plan in mind.
As mentioned, the relationship between Carol and Jessica was unique. It was a pseudo mother-daughter relationship, but they continued to have sex when they could actually be together. Carol lived in the Midwest United States and Jessica lived in New Mexico, United States. Carol had called out Jen's name during sex on three different occasions with Jessica. So, Jessica eventually confronted Carol about Jen. Jessica learned that Carol was in fact in love with Jen. But back then she was still married to Paul and with Katie and Melanie being so close, it just seemed that the relationship between Carol and Jen was unworkable.
Jen eventually had to move on and she started her relationship with Susan. Jen had hoped that Carol would be happy for her and that they could at least stay friends even if they could not be lovers anymore. However, Carol had behaved terribly to Jen, consumed by her own jealousy (though at that time she could not admit that even to herself). It was after all this that Carol and Paul had first met Jessica and had their incredible day and night of sex.
After Paul's death, Carol drove out and spent a weekend with Jessica. In between the sex (which was when Carol called out Jen's name that third time), Jessica and Carol also spent a lot of time talking about Carol's feelings for Jen. Carol finally faced her jealousy and the fact that deep down she was still in love with Jen. Jessica helped Carol see that even if it was not meant to be, her love for Jen was still a good thing and she should find a way to at least repair the friendship they had shared. But Jessica knew how much Carol still loved Jen and how happy it would make Carol if that part of her past could rekindle in the future.
That night in Vegas when Carol had invited Jessica to come to her daughter's Bachelorette Party, the situation had now changed. Jen and Susan had broken up and Jen was single. Jessica got Jen alone for a while and was able to discover that Jen still had feelings for Carol just as she already knew Carol was still in love with Jen. It was just that both women assumed the other had moved on and that the burgeoning love affair they'd had several years before could never be restarted.
During the Bachelorette Party, Jessica had almost succeeded in getting Carol and Jen to re-spark that old flame. Unfortunately, they were interrupted with more party events and the sparks failed to ignite. However, as the night was wrapping up, Jessica saw another opportunity to try again and she quickly put this new plan into action.
Jessica asked Margaret to get Jo and bring them to her and Carol's hotel room and she would explain everything once they were inside. Jessica then went to Carol and asked if she could have the room for a supposed tryst with Jo and Margaret. For reasons explained elsewhere, Jo and Margaret's room was not available so Carol would need somewhere else to sleep. Acting like this was not her plan all along, Jessica asked Jen if Carol could stay in her room for the night.
Neither Jen nor Carol knew about Jessica's plan. They both were aware that Melanie had been trying to get them together. Had Melanie suggested this, they would have seen right through it. But not expecting any underlying plan from Jessica, they agreed to the arrangements. Carol and Jen went off to Jen's room. At that point, Jessica was hoping the two would rediscover their lost love. Now Jessica just had to explain "what the hell was going on." to Jo and Margaret.
Jessica looked at Jo and Margaret and said, "It would take too long to explain it all so I will just tell you. I am trying to get Carol and Jen together and I think if I can get them to be alone with each other, it just might work out."
Margaret's response was to ask Jessica, "Are you working with Melanie?"
"WHAT!?!" This came from both Jessica and Jo.
Margaret directed her answer only to Jessica, "Are you working with Melanie? It's a simple enough question."
"Working on what with Melanie?" Jo asked.
However, Jessica ignored Jo and answered back to Margaret, "No. I had no idea that Melanie was working to get her mom with Carol."
"Working on what with Carol?" asked Jo still completely befuddled but still being totally left out of the conversation now going on between Jessica and Margaret.
Jessica asked Margaret, "So how much do you know?"
"I know a lot. I know that Katie's mom and dad had a threesome with Melanie's mom and I know that Katie's mom and Melanie's mom were lovers at some point as well."
"Wait, what?" interjected Jo, again to no avail.
Margaret kept on going, "I know that Katie's mom and dad had a threesome with you at some point too. That's how Katie's mom and you first met."
This news left Jo dumbstruck and she now just looked back between Jessica and Margaret wondering if this was all some bad dream she was having passed out in her own hotel room near the toilet.
