"I can't believe you would do this to me, you were always so trustful to me, why would you tell them for this It isn't like I did anything dangerous! I just took a couple of things from the mall! No Biggy!" Screamed Melanie at her older brother David.
"You know what Mel, I don't have time to fight with you about this... So you can't go to Cancun for your spring break big deal... you did something wrong and now you have to deal with the consequences. I have to go to work now. If Heather comes over tell her I'll call her later." Screamed David right back at her.
"Yea right you see if I tell Heather anything, you made Rachel leave me and half my friends act as if I don't exist!" Melanie screamed as David shut the door behind him.
I wish I was never born, Melanie thought, at least not in the same family as David. I wish none of this had ever happened. I hate my parents. They have no right to even treat me this way, she thought I'm 19, I'm an adult, I can think for myself! God I wish there was someway I could get him screwed. I don't even have anyone to call right now because everyone left me. Her thoughts were interrupted by a gentle knock on the door.
Heather, David's girlfriend walked in the room and asked " Do you know where David is?"
"Umm I think he's at work right now, but I have a question to ask." Melanie thought as she came up with a great idea. "What would you do if you did something wrong and everyone you know abandoned you and your lover left you?"
"Oh this is about the stealing thing isn't it Melanie?" She said after sittin down on Melanie's bed next to her. " I'm sure everyone will forget about it soon enough. Everything will go back to normal. And as for your boyfriend, if he leaves you for something like this and doesn't comfort you, then I guess he isn't really the right guy anyways."
"Oh I get it my brother didn't tell you. I'm lesbian, I don't like guys I only date girls." Melanie said while staring deep into Heathers eyes. They sat there like that for a few moments until Heather blinked and looked away. "Oh so I guess this would be pretty awkward for us to just be sitting here talking like this, sorry, I guess I'll just go home and call David later." Heather said, her eyes again locked on Melanie's.
