After going over the plan, the time had come, Liara was to return the work she had done for the Organization, and scan Miss Kavanagh's genetic codes so that Persephone's techs can make pass cards. Liara preferred to be left out of the loop as to why, but she was more concerned with getting her friend back. How she would do that was still unknown. Now, Persephone, Liara, Darcy, Carise and Ike sat a few blocks from the Obelisk in Persephone's limo.
"Are you ready?" Persephone said to Liara.
"I... I guess so." Liara replied, suddenly very unsure of herself.
"You've got this Liara." Daphne reassured her. She sighed and opened the door.
"Here goes nothing." Liara said and climbed out of the vehicle. Carise followed her out into the street.
"Liara." She called her. Liara turned and smiled at the young woman.
"Hey." She smiled warmly.
"Hey, I just wanted to wish you good luck." She paused, "and give you this." Carise wrapped her arms around Liara and kissed her. Their tongues twisted around each other. Liara reached around and grabbed Carise's ass with her hand and squeezed it firmly. As their mouths separated, Carise whispered into Liara's ear.
"Come back to me."
Liara smiled and nodded to her. Reluctantly, she turned and headed off toward the Obelisk. Carise watched until she vanished around the corner and returned to the car. As she climbed in and sat, Persephone patted her knee.
"She'll be back, trust me."
"Liara's a tough one, she'll be fine." Darcy added.
Liara nervously walked down the block toward the Obelisk, dozens of pedestrians were hurrying around her as she kept a slower pace. The neon seemed somehow brighter, the light more... harsh. Her senses fired a of in hypersensitive mode. Her pulse raced as she-

'Answer.'
'Miss Liara! Are you okay?'
'ALICE? I'm...okay. What's wrong?'
'I've been doing some reading, and I need you to stay away from the Obelisk and the Organization.'
'Need?' Liara stopped, ducked into a doorway and frowned. 'ALICE, what's going on? What do you mean?'
'I cracked the Organization mainframe and-'
'Cracked their mainframe?! ALICE, why would you do that? What if they trace your hack back to you?'
'Impossible.'
'Fine, but what's with your concern?'
'I found a file buried deep in their encrypted database... Something about Project: Daylight.'
'What was in the file?'
'It seems the Organization has designs on creating some sort of unnatural, natural disaster... then, while everything is in chaos, they would come in, use their extensive resources to "fix" things.'
'Okay...'
'Ultimately, they would seize control of the city and institute martial law.'
'What the fuck?! How could this even be possible? Do they have a time table?'
'I'm unsure how... and I haven't been able to find the window they are aiming for.'
'Okay...' she thought for a moment. 'Please, do not go back in, I will figure something out later.'
'Miss Liara?'
'Yeah?'
'When are you coming home? I wish to speak to you about a great many things.'
'I promise, I'll be home as soon as I can.'
'Very well.'
The connection ended. Liara stood in the doorway for several minutes, she was certainly in no hurry to face this terrifying place again, her anxiety began to overwhelm her. Trying to focus, she went over the plan in her head a hundred times, it seemed simple enough. She took a deep breath and continued to her destination. She rounded the corner and saw it. The huge black tower, well over a hundred stories, was surrounded by lower buildings and around that, a massive black wall with guard towers every fifty yards. It looked more like a prison than an office complex, and that gave it a brutal, intimidating appearance. She swallowed hard as she got closer, would she make it out? Would she-.

What? I thought this was a dead zone!
"Read."
γHey girl, nice to see you again.γ
Liara looked around and after not seeing anyone familiar, she looked toward the guard tower ahead of her. There, she saw the fire- haired guard she met on her way out the last time she was here.
"Reply"
"Hey there, can you help me? I need to see Miss Kavanagh, but I don't remember where she is or how to get there." She lied. "Send."
She saw the woman nod as she got closer and sighed. She hoped having a connection would help her get in and out quickly. As she prepared to cross the street to the gate three Black Coats appeared from her left and startled her.
"Ma'am, please stay on this side of the street." One said in a commanding voice.
"Oh, I..."
"Please move along." Another said stepping in front of her, blocking her way.
"That's enough!" The red haired woman rushed across the street toward them. The men turned to address her, but their posture changed immediately.
"C- commander!?"
"Stand down." She told them. "This is Liara, she has an appointment with Miss Kavanagh."
"She does?" Another questioned her. "Why is she walking up?"
