The Story
Alix was dropped off outside a large detached house in the suburbs, which from the taxi window had looked like a wealthy area. She was an orphan, and having turned eighteen recently, had been dreading the time she'd have to leave the orphanage and make it in life all by herself without support, besides whatever job her support worker, Miss Larson, could organise for her.
She was a slender attractive blonde with sleek wavy long hair, and everyone had always been surprised she hadn't ever been chosen for adoption, with several couples having been initially interested in her though not following through due to her quite willful personality often causing conflict.
So she had been surprised when Miss Larson had told her that she had found an adoptive family for her in the nick of time. She didn't know much about them besides it was a single mom and a daughter who was the same age as her, and she did wonder why such a family would choose to adopt an eighteen year old, but it certainly suited her!
As she walked up the drive, Alix felt she could add 'wealthy' to what she knew about the family, as the house looked lovely and comfortably large, and she was sure it would be furnished far nicer than the orphanage she had grown up in. One other thing that Miss Larson had told her was that some other orphans who had also recently turned eighteen had also been adopted by families in the neighbourhood, both being in a nearby road called Sapphire Lane. These were a meekly quiet girl called Cassidy and a withdrawn unsocial blonde called Colina, both of which Alix hadn't been particularly close with, but they were on friendly enough terms, and she supposed it was nice there was some familiar faces she might bump into. It did seem that their support worker had saved them all from being thrown into the world on their own, so however Miss Larson had achieved it, she was grateful!
The blonde knocked on the door, viewing this as being her last chance at getting a family so resolved to keep her wilful attitude in check and instead behave however her new mother wanted her to. The door was soon answered by a woman in her mid-forties, who was blonde with a slender face and trim body, though quite an eye-drawing bust.
"You definitely must be Alix, welcome!"
"Hi, yes that's me..." The blonde teen smiled a little awkwardly, not quite sure what to say.
"I'm Cherie Devonport, but you'll of course call me mom." The woman introduced herself, and stepped back to allow the teen to enter the house. Alix entered, lugging behind her suitcase which Cherie told her to just leave in the hallway.
"Thanks mom." Alix said, finding it was strange to be calling someone, especially a stranger she had now said a total of six words to, by that word after her life of not having parents.
"Good girl, you're a quick learner!" Cherie grinned, and Alix laughed to humour the blonde, though did find it a little embarrassing to be called a 'good girl'... even if it was also kinda exciting to be referred to as such by a MILF. She knew it was inappropriate, but she couldn't help thinking the woman was hot, and being a lesbian, found herself attracted to her though knew she'd have to get over this crush as in the context of their relationship, it would be pretty weird!
"Let's find your sister, I think she's in the lounge as she was waiting for you to arrive just as excitedly as I was." Cherie said, and Alix followed the woman into the living room which was a spacious place with comfortable furniture, a large television, bookcases, and a piano. Though she had only seen this and the hallway, Alix knew she hadn't been incorrect about the house being nice, and certainly felt lucky in that regard.
On the sofa was sat a eighteen year old girl, who got up with a welcoming smile to greet her. She was slender and blonde with hair in pigtails, and was dressed in a cute blue plaid dress with pleated skirt and puffed shoulders, and a square neckline so it modestly hide the cleavage of her small perky breasts. On her feet she wore long white socks.
"Hi Alix, I'm Lexi!"
Alix said hello to the girl, thinking she was cute and like Cherie, realising she would have to suppress a taboo crush. However Alix, who was dressed in a tee and denim booty shorts, did find the outfit the girl was dressed in kinda girlish, thinking that despite being the same age, people couldn't be blamed for thinking that Lexi was younger than her if comparing their outfits and hairstyles. If Lexi had red high heels, the girl could be mistaken for being dressed like a certain farm girl who went over the rainbow...
"Stand side by side, I want to get a good look at you girls together." Cherie said, and Alix found herself standing next to her new sister, who was around the same height as her, being ever so slightly shorter.
"Perfect, you definitely look like twins!" The woman beamed, and Alix saw the woman did have a point as the other girl's body was similar to her's, as well as some of their facial features. They would never be mixed up, but Alix was sure they could probably quite easily pass as biological siblings rather than just adoptive sisters.
"Lexi, go fetch us some lemonade, and then we'll all get to know one another... I think we'll go sit in the garden."
The daughter headed to the kitchen, and Alix noted how dutifully she responded to the woman's command. Not that it would have been a reasonable response to argue, however the girl thought she could detect a certain obedience in her new sister, so decided she would do well to imitate this, wanting to ensure she made a good impression on the family, after all, if things didn't work out, she wouldn't have the orphanage to return to...
The garden behind the house was large, with a big lawn, flowerbeds, a summer house, and a swimming pool with a barbecue area, which excited the blonde as she hadn't been expecting to be living somewhere with her own pool!
They sat on some chairs on the patio, and Cherie and Alix began chatting, with the teen wanting to understand her new mom. "So why did you want to adopt? Of course I'm not complaining as it has worked out for me, but seems a little unusual seeing you already have a daughter..."
"I've always dreamed of having twins, but of course you can't choose... however always thought it was a shame that Lexi didn't have a twin sister until one day realised that adoption was an option. Of course, it was hard to find a suitable match, especially as she was a teenager and I was giving up hope now she turned eighteen..., until I came into contact with Grace, your Miss Larson, who showed me the photos of all the girls at your orphanage who had turned eighteen so desperately needed a family, and couldn't believe it when I saw a picture of you! At first sight I knew you'd be perfect!"
