After A couple of minutes, Meera slowly removed the thermometer and checked the reading.

"Let's check it correctly this time as it's the most accurate method though it's quite traditional you know." She explained her rationale.

"But I had never tried that way before. I don't know," Priya said in a hesitant voice.

"It's okay Priya, I'm with you here and you can trust me. I'll make sure that you are comfortable." Meera said, looking directly into Priya's eyes.

Meera went again from the room and returned in a couple of minutes with the rectal thermometer and other necessary stuff in a bag.
