RECOVERY 02 Pt. 02: Am I Lost Forever
Prologue:
HONORING FOXY FOWLER
- She truly enjoys reading my type/style of Lesbian Romance stories! This story is a two-part Slowburn Lesbian Love and Romance tale
expressly written for Foxy as a Thank You
for being one of my most loyal & committed readers. This is the first of two new stories, I'm dedicating to Foxy in 2024.
When children are a part of Billyslate's storyline, there's minimal sexual activity if they're close by. Also, generally, there's little or no alcohol consumed in their presence.
All descriptive sex in this story is lesbian, with young ladies aged 21 or older. Some explicit lesbian sexual actions occasionally feature a strong, but loving woman as the definite
TOP
controlling the action along with playful and occasional firm spanking.
On occasion, my stories will feature a heterosexual romance when and where appropriate. But there's never any sexual physical contact between the couple other than a hug, soft kiss, or slow dancing.
This

t
and all Billyslate stories are 100% Fiction in every aspect.

Ending Pt. 01
Rita and Abby know we're on a long adventure, but aren't given specific details. For, their safety we keep both girls with us all week. They'd normally spend some play time at the Church, but, we're taking extra precautions before departing to Savannah.
The foster care agency knows we're traveling, but thinks we've taken the girls to a horseback riding ranch, staying all week.
The girl's final words as we leave the loft with our bags, locking the doors are;
"Rita and Abby are going away with our Moms, Ella, and Candace, and staying for a long-long time;
"
YIPEE
!"
Pt, 02: Hightailing It To Savannah
ELLA
POV
We're driving I-22 East to I-16 East, about 650 miles and 10 hours from Memphis to Savannah. If the girls nap a few hours from the monotony of the drive, we'll go straight through with 2 or 3 pit stops as needed.
Once we're on the open road two hours outside of Memphis, Candace will take over driving and I'll rest for a while. Rita and Abby are already nodding, coming down from this morning's excitement so we may have an easy drive to Savannah if they sleep half the trip.
Candace has the wheel as we set the cruise control on 70MPH, the Interstate speed limit. We plan on avoiding Law Enforcement Agency (
LEA
) contact, along the route to Savannah if possible.
Peeking at the girls in the folded-down
SUV
backseat, confirms they're out like a light. So, I drift into a dreamlike sleep, with Maya in the forefront.
She's possibly in my thoughts because of our stop-over at a small airport hotel in Memphis last night, and then meeting Mom/Dad and Maya's parents this morning for a snack.
SUBCONSCIOUS AWARENESS:
ELLA
My thoughts are back to the age when Maya and My lives were fun-filled with joy. We play golf with our Dads and dance ballet with our Moms, sharing our play time equally with them.
Maya and my life changes dramatically, after our 12
th
birthday when she starts tiring easily doing things we always do growing up. Her parents take her for a checkup, and we learn the dreaded word, Leukemia (
ALL
).
Age 12 is older for developing ALL since most kids are 6 to 8, years-old at onset. Eighteen months of pure hell follows Maya's diagnosis, with 5-courses and several months of Chemo.
She's always nauseous following Chemo, and her Raven Black hair falls out in bunches, leaving Maya bald. Sometimes her face is swollen and her body is bloated from water retention and other side effects of Chemo.
On top of Chemo's side-effects, Maya's teased at school, with bullies calling her baldy, and ugly. Worst of all there's no golf or ballet for us during her treatment, since Maya's always tired from the Leukemia/Chemo. So it's Maya and I against
ALL
and an
Illiterate World
not understanding her pain.
Chemo ends, and
ALL
is gone from her bloodstream (
remission
) and bone marrow, so we're praying for 5 years of negative blood and bone marrow testing.
Our lives are almost back to normal, with studies, golf, and ballet. Then, at 4-years out,
ALL
comes roaring back, and she's with Jesus a week later. You know the specific details from earlier in Pt 01.

I stir, glancing at our cute little girls, Rita and Abby, peacefully sleeping in the back, my mind saying, "
NOT THIS TIME
!" I lost Maya to a Medical anomaly, possibly genetically related.
Candace and I are going to the wall for our girls, who are beaten down by political hypocrisy, and an ineffective
Family Court System
. We're on the run with Rita and Abby, protecting our little ones from biology, in a system valuing biology over health n happiness.
In less than 3 months, our little darlings go from being nearly
Mute
to happily dancing ballet, playing hopscotch, and learning to paint. They have two committed Moms, four grandparents, a Godmom with two daughters, and a Progressive Pastor.
Our
FLIGHT
target is Savannah, where we'll stand and
FIGHT
for our girls, Rita n Abby's right to live happy and emotionally healthy lives.
I slowly awaken to Candace's tender voice, "You Okay Babe? I hear you mumbling
NO NO
, so call out!"
Smiling, I blow my babe a kiss, and then tell her about my dream, or was it a
NIGHTMARE
?"

GALLERY BY SAM-SAVANNAH:
ELLA
POV
We're safely in the gallery's upstairs living quarters, which Sam arranges nicely for us, and our girls. He quickly leaves once our personal items such as clothing are unpacked. Sam knows we're keyed up from our St Louis escape, giving me the combination of the safe to store our critical documents.
The frig and cabinets are filled with a week's supply of chilled items and staples we requested from Sam. We're set for now and will rest a few days while planning next month's activities, primarily getting emergency Georgia residency for Rita and Abby.
Using the burner phone, I ring Maya's Mom's mobile number, telling her we're safe in Savannah. She'll update my Mom/Dad so they can relax, knowing we're safe for now.
For the next few days, all messages and phone calls home will be via Maya's Mom,
Adalia
, who is unknown to anyone in St Louis.

As I finish our on-arrival to-do list, Rita and Abby come searching for Candace and me with my Mom's trusty comb in hand, meaning they want a bath/shower and their hair washed.
Nodding at Candace, "Let's get the girls cleaned up, enjoy a nice snack from the refrig, and then tell Rita and Abby why we're in Savannah."
As we stroll to the bathroom, without thinking Candace slips her shirt off, exposing her hairy chest and shoulders to our girls for the first time. She's always worn long dresses, pants, and long-sleeved shirts around them.
Now in a T-style undershirt, Candace's hairy upper chest, shoulders, and arms are completely exposed. I grab the girls telling Candace, to put on shorts and we face her hair issue now.
I explain to our girls, "Mommy Candace has lots of body hair except, on her face. She will shave it off for us, but Mommy Ella says no because I love Mommy Candace just as she is," running my fingers through her hairy shoulders.
Rita and Abby quickly start playing with the hair on Candace's forearms, squealing, "Mommy Candace, we love the hair on you just like Mommy Ella, so please don't shave it off?"
I hug Candace, "See, problem solved and you can relax in shorts and tee's around our girls. Now, it's time to give them a shower and shampoo their hair."
***
We've cleaned up, eaten a soup n sandwich snack, and dishes are in the washer. Both girls sit in our laps as usual, with Abby reclining on me, and Rita on Candace, both getting sleepy.
I tell the girls, "We're in Savannah because some bad people in St Louis are trying to take you from us."
Instantly, Rita screams, "We're never leaving our Mommies and will go everywhere with you!" tears streaming down their little faces.
Candace and I hug and coo them, me saying, "We're never leaving our baby girls so we will live in Savannah for a long time. We'll have to stay inside for a lot of days, and Granddad Sam will bring us food and everything we need to live here.
"While hiding inside the Gallery, we'll call your Grandmas/Dads in Memphis every week, Okay?"
Rita and Abby in a duet, "Mom, we love our grandparents in Memphis, can they come to see us in Savannah?"
I tell our girls that bad people may try to follow their Grands, so they'll visit us after we hide in Savannah for 2 or 3 months.
But while we hide here in the Gallery, Mom Candace will teach Rita how to paint, the history of painting, and speak French with her every day.
I will teach baby girl Abby to dance ballet and speak German every day since our sweet little one loves ballet and modern dance.
Moms Candace/Ella will also teach our girls the 6-Rs, "
R
eading,
R
iting,
R
ithmatic,
R
esponsibility,
R
eliability &
R
espectability." School days will be Monday through Friday, for two hours each day.
Mom Candace will sew pretty clothes for our baby girls, Rita and Abby, and other fun things while we hide in the gallery. By now, both girls are
fast-asleep
in our arms so Candace smiles;
