You should read 'Tomorrow is Promised Pt. 03' and 'Promises Made and Promises Kept Pt. 01' first before reading this story. This story picks up right after 'Tomorrow is Promised Pt. 03.'
Note: PM&PK needs to be told from both Points of View (PoV). In order to do that, I am alternating between Virginia and Judy in each part of PM&PK. Because of this, the five parts of this story will overlap each other so you will see some scenes from both PoVs. Parts 1, 3, and 5 are written from Virginia's PoV while parts 2 and 4 are written from Judy's PoV. For example, the first half (roughly) of this story (from Judy's PoV) overlaps the last half (roughly) of 'PM&PK Pt. 01' (from Virginia's PoV). Conversely, the last half of this story (from Judy's PoV) will be covered in the first half of 'PM&PK Pt. 03' (from Virginia's PoV). Keep in mind that each woman will also have experiences unique to them that will not be reflected from the other woman's PoV.

August 1994
As I drove home, I thought back to the interviews my team, and I did today. We were looking to find someone for the Configuration Manager position that we needed to fill. I thought we did a great job, and I was pleased with the final interview. It was with a woman named Virginia Hanratty. She handled herself with poise and intelligence. I couldn't help but think about how seeing her and interacting with her had affected me. Her sapphire blue eyes were mesmerizing, and I couldn't stop thinking about them. She was beautiful, and Sapphic thoughts went through my head as I thought about how she moved and talked. My nipples hardened, and my pussy got hot and wet thinking about her.
As I pulled onto my street, it suddenly hit me. Last December, I had seen a woman in Jack's Salad Bar and Grill, who had sapphire blue eyes. When our eyes had met, I had felt the exact same feelings I felt today. Could that have been Virginia I saw there that day?
I pulled into our driveway and parked my car in the garage. I saw Amy's car was here, so the girls must be home from school. As the garage door went down, and I got out of my car, thoughts about Virginia left my brain as Amy and Emily came out to greet me.
"Hi, mom," said Amy, coming up and giving me a hug. I loved that she still felt comfortable hugging me. Even though she was 17, she was still my little girl.
"I love you, baby," I said, returning her hug. At 5' 9", she was as tall as I am, and her lean hard body was evidence that she would be a great swimmer. She was a senior this year and had been made captain of the swim team. She already held all but one of the swimming records for Mira Costa High School.
We broke our hug, and Amy stepped back as Emily approached, saying, "Hi, mom. How did it go today?"
She gave me a hug. Emily was 15 and nearly as tall as I am at 5' 8". Like her sister, she was lean and hard-bodied because she is also a member of the Mira Costa High School swim team. Emily holds the only swimming record Amy doesn't have, and she was only a sophomore this year. She will probably end up owning all of the best times by the time she graduates. While they are very competitive in the swimming pool, they always hug it out afterward and love each other very much. Amy will be the first one to cheer Emily on to beat all of her records.
I returned her hug, saying, "I love you, sweetie. My day went fine today."
We broke our hug, and the three of us went into the house. After I changed from my work outfit and into jeans and a pullover, all three of us went into the kitchen, and the girls chatted about their day as we prepared dinner. The girls worked on putting the salad together while I cooked up some spaghetti. I told them about my day, being careful not to say anything about Virginia. I had recently confessed to my daughters that I enjoyed Sapphic love and was thinking about dating other women. They were supportive of me, and I really appreciated that. Still, if I showed any interest in a woman, they would get excited and fuss over it. I didn't need that tonight.
"I think we found an excellent candidate for the position," I said as I finished up the spaghetti and put the bowl on the table. "We were unanimous on our decision. I took the paperwork to HR and strongly suggested that they make an offer soon. Someone like that doesn't come along often, and we need to take advantage of the opportunity."
"That's great, mom," said Amy as she put the salad bowl on the table.
"Yeah, mom, sounds like you found a keeper," Emily said as she finished putting out the plates and silverware.
We sat down, and I said a quick prayer over the food before we tucked in. We had an enjoyable meal as the girls laid out their activities for the evening. I asked them how their first day back to school went, and both of them gushed about their day.
When dinner was over, the girls went to their rooms to do their homework. I ran the dishes through the dishwasher and went into the study to do some work. My thoughts invariably went back to Virginia. "I've got to get her out of my mind," I grumbled to myself as I tried to pay attention to the e-PUT requirements for phase two of the upgrade.
This phase actually will add new functionality, so more detailed testing will be needed. We needed to make sure no bugs to existing functionality will be introduced and that the new functionality is working as expected. I expect that this will require several hundred different tests to be run against the software. We would need to do unit testing, integration testing, system testing, regression testing, and beta/acceptance testing. All of this testing would take a considerable amount of time, so it needed to be included in the upgrade schedule. The customer acceptance testing will require bringing in customers from the varied programs to test the application to make sure it still meets their needs. Scheduling their testing around their schedules was not going to be easy. I was convinced that I'd be spending a lot of time helping with the testing.
