"My friend from High School is coming to visit. Really, it's my little sister's friend, Summer. The two young women ad-lib some small talk here. We find out that it's been six years since the girls saw each other and Summer's 20 now. Brooke has been in California for 2-3 years and loves the weather and the people. Swimming and working on her tan are her main sports. She works as a receptionist and a part-time model. Summer and her family moved to Connecticut and then moved to Maryland then to Tennessee. She goes to a small college in the East, gets all As and Bs and is in a sorority. We find out that Summer is studying film editing and film directing in college and has come to California to find a summer internship.

Summer is saying "I've got two weeks to find a summer job before I run out of money at the hotel and have to go back home."

Brooke tells her "Don't waste your money at a hotel. You can move in with me for the summer. You're my guest." She looks around. "That's if you don't mind sleeping on the couch, though, because I've only got one bedroom."

"You won't hear any complaints from me. It'll be great staying with someone and it'll help on my expenses a lot."
