Fiend in the shadow.
It was one of those alleyways that seemed to attract trouble like moths to a flame. Dim, reeking of old trash and cigarette ash, echoing with the nervous scuffle of worn shoes and occasional cries for help.
Azure Fox dropped down from the fire escape with a smooth, practiced grace, the shadow of her body slicing through the moonlight as she landed behind the muggers. Her white boots hit the concrete with a sharp THUD--loud enough to make the two thugs turn mid-threat.
She stood tall, arms crossed, the sleek blue sheen of her costume catching the light. Unfortunately, the very tight costume also decided to make an entrance of its own--riding up along her shapely ass in a way that made her wince internally. And thanks to the suit's low cut between her large double D breasts, the chilly night air wasn't exactly being shy.
But Azure Fox didn't flinch. She smirked.
"Let her go," she said, her voice dry with sass, "unless you two want to spend the next hour coming to terms with having your ass's kicked by a girl."
The one with the switchblade stepped forward. Big mistake.
"You're that Fox girl, right?" he sneered. "The one who plays dress-up?"
She was already moving before he finished the insult. Her leg came up in a sweeping arc--CRACK!--and the knife clattered to the ground as he stumbled backward, clutching his wrist and groaning.
The second thug charged her, fists up. She ducked low, her body twisting perfectly despite the very real wedge situation happening behind her. Her bodysuit clung tighter than she liked--especially across her backside--but she rolled through it, coming up behind him and driving her palm into the base of his neck. He dropped like dead weight.
Panting, the woman who had nearly been mugged stared at her in shock. "Th-that was amazing! Are you okay?"
Azure Fox exhaled, tugging subtly at the back of her suit. "Oh, I'm fine," she muttered. "Suit's trying to give me a personal flossing, but I'm good."
The woman's eyes drifted, and Fox noticed--yeah, the neckline had shifted again, showing off more cleavage than usual.
She straightened her shoulders with a huff, flicked her white-and-blue ponytail over one shoulder, and gave the woman a wink. "All part of the look. City's safer now--tell your friends."
And with that, she used a grappling hook launching herself back up to the rooftops, cheeks flushed not from effort, but from the stubborn sass of her outfit. Time to pay her seamstress a visit.
SALEEN'S APARTMENT BUILDING.
Saleen had just sat down with a mug of coffee and a notebook full of sketch ideas for costumes when the apartment's window creaked open with the soft groan of a practiced intruder. She didn't even flinch.
"Y'know," she called over her shoulder, "most people use the door."
"I'm not most people," came the familiar voice, followed by a white-haired blur flipping gracefully through the window. Haley landed with a dramatic pose, one gloved hand on her hip. "Also, this thing is acting up again, so... yeah. Emergency."
Saleen raised an eyebrow. "Let me guess--seam drama?"
Haley flopped down on the couch and kicked her boots off with a grunt. "It's a nightmare. The suit's riding higher than my hopes after two Monsters and a motivational playlist. I need a patch-up.
Saleen smirked. "A patch-up, huh?" She stood, set her coffee aside, and sauntered over, eyes narrowing slightly as she took in the details of the suit. "Well, well. Looks like it's doing its job just fine. Sturdy stitching, flawless color blend, form-fitting in all the right ways..."
Haley groaned dramatically. "Saleeeen. You know what I mean."
"Mhm," Saleen said, circling around behind her. She tugged playfully on the edge of the suit near Haley's lower back, just enough to make her yelp and blush. "Oh look. Still plenty of give. Maybe it's your butt that's changing, not my sewing."
Haley covered her face. "You are the worst."
"I agree to your totally innocent request for adjustments," Saleen said, already grabbing her sewing kit with a mischievous glint in her eye. "But I make no promises about reducing the sass levels of this suit. You are the Azure Fox, after all."
Haley peeked out from between her fingers, grinning despite herself. "Yeah, yeah. Just don't make it more wedgie on purpose this time."
"I make no promises," Saleen said, winking. "But first you know what you owe me if you want me to update this thing. Strip."
