Note to readers: Amy and I met online and she told me about her most memorable sexual experience. I asked for permission to post her story after I made a few changes and she agreed. We had fun writing this together and really hope you like the result!

1: The Setting

Amy was conflicted when her son left for college. Of course she wanted David to go to the college that was best for him and to become independent. But she missed him. David had been a bedrock of support ever since she divorced her husband. It would have been a lousy marriage even if she hadn't realized during it that she was gay.

But Amy lived only a 30 minute drive from the university David attended, and they settled into a pattern that worked well. David visited Amy once a month for dinner during the semesters and came home during breaks and holidays.

David had dated a variety of girls in high school and his first two years of college. But Amy could tell when he started dating Jessica during his junior year that she was special. David spoke of Jessica with a different excitement from the way he spoke of his previous girlfriends. Amy thought she might well be "the one"! This made Amy especially eager to meet her.

But when Amy met Jessica during their monthly dinner she had decidedly mixed reactions. On the positive side, Jessica was really smart, with a razor sharp wit and lively personality. She was very attractive and Amy could easily see why David was smitten with her.

But Amy was distressed at the way Jessica controlled David and bossed him around. He was more of a servant than a boyfriend. Jessica only had sisters. Could that somehow be relevant?

Nor did she seem to care about David's needs or desires. During a family event David was asked about his future plans and aspirations. Jessica answered for him by saying, "We've discussed what should happen to the two of us after I finish my undergrad. We'll of course do what will be best for my career...."

Amy also sensed a lack of intimacy in Jessica's body language vis-a-via David, and began to wonder how she viewed him. Often David's hand would reach out to stroke her hair, shoulder or the small of her back, yet Jessica never seemed to touch David.

Nor did Jessica look at David very often, except in a casual way. If anything, when everyone was lounging around Amy's swimming pool in bathing suits, Jessica seemed to look more at Cindy, one of a group of David's friends from high school that he often hung around with. Did Jessica view Cindy as a possible rival for David's attention? Or, as Amy increasingly suspected, was something else going on?

Amy also noticed the way Jessica and David kissed when they relaxed. Although Jessica didn't refuse David's kisses or pull back, her eyes remained open the entire time. Amy's first thought was that every girl she had ever kissed had closed her eyes while being kissed. But then Amy realized she didn't know this for sure because her own eyes were always closed. Maybe some girls don't close their eyes while kissing? Or maybe Jessica's open eyes meant something?

Jessica was always very complementary towards Amy. She noticed when Amy's hair was done differently and had even touched her hair briefly. She would tell Amy she liked her shoes or necklace - which could of course be completely normal behavior (especially if Jessica thought she might marry David one day). Jessica was especially complimentary of Amy's career - "It's really great you're running such a large organization... and that most of your employees are men. This makes you the girl boss, which is how it should be. Women should be in charge of men."

For reasons Amy couldn't really articulate, her gaydar went off when Jessica was in her presence. Was Jessica - perhaps unknowingly - actually gay? Amy had no proof, of course. But her instincts told her that Jessica and her son were not well suited for one another, and that Jessica's sexuality might be the reason.

Not only had Amy seen other cases where, because of societal norms and pressures, young women didn't realize they were gay. This had in fact been her own situation when she had married a man. Amy sure didn't want David to marry a latent lesbian.

2: The Kiss

The more Amy thought about it, the more she wanted to prevent David from entering into a marriage like the unhappy one she had escaped from. But how could she find out whether Jessica was gay? Every test she could think of entailed a gamble. Because if Jessica were straight, Amy might be doing her son a huge disservice, and she might damage their relationship terribly.

Like most college age males David didn't talk very much to his mother about his relationships. So, Amy decided to see whether Jessica would be more open about it.

Amy's chance to talk privately with Jessica came on New Year's eve. Amy decided to throw a New Year's Eve party and invited David and a group of his friends from high school, as well as a number of her own friends.

During the party Cindy commented to Amy that she feared she'd never lose her 'freshman 15' if she ate too much of the great food Amy had prepared for the party. Amy responded that Cindy could gain 30 pounds and would still look stunning.

Later that evening, as Amy was in her kitchen preparing dessert for the party, Jessica came back to help. As they did this they shared glasses of wine and talked. Jessica told Amy that she had overheard her comments to Cindy, and found them really positive and encouraging. Jessica added that it would be great if more women would support each other like this. Jessica added that she loved all of the food, but she'd never be ready for bathing suit weather if she always ate like this.

Amy thought that Jessica was speaking with an air of vulnerability and insecurity and seemed to need reassurance. So Amy told her that she was the most attractive girl at the party, and that she had a darling figure that anyone would envy. Jessica blushed a little and asked, "Do you really think so?"

"Of course I do. You're a real cutie. I have no doubt that you've had no difficulties attracting lots of boys. I can certainly see why David's so attracted to you. But let me ask you - what is it about David that attracted him to you?"

Jessica went on for some time about David's good qualities - tall, officer in the fraternity, captain of the rocket club - and that he had a kindness and gentleness than some of her other boyfriends had lacked. If he were a better kisser, he might be close to perfect, she joked. Amy knew that jokes were often steeped in the truth, and continued the discussion while they worked on the food.

"You're absolutely right about college boys being bad kissers," replied Amy. "I remember feeling the same way with the boys I dated in high school and college. So does this mean--- you've never... how shall I put this... never really been kissed? You know, kissed by someone who really knew how to kiss? Kissed by someone who knows that a kiss is not just something girls like, but that most girls consider kissing a major part of what they love about sex? Boys usually don't know how to kiss or realize how kissing makes a girl enjoy every part sex so much more."

"I guess I've never been kissed by someone who knew what they were doing. I've kissed a bunch of boys over the years. And, I even had a couple of drunk kisses with girls, but those don't count."

"Maybe it's time you learned what a real kiss is like. Then you could show David the proper way to kiss a girl."

Amy leaned forward and made eye contact with Jessica, who did not move. Amy put her right hand around the back of Jessica's neck and brought her an inch closer. She wrapped her left arm around Jessica's waist. Amy whispered, "You're so beautiful. Anyone would be lucky to kiss you" and slowly drew her closer. Then Amy kissed her very lightly - teasingly so - on the lips.

Then Amy said, "The second kiss should be a bit more passionate, but first some face and neck kisses would help get your partner in the right mood. And hair stroking and face touching. While you maintain eye contact. And its fine to move your other hand a bit so it cuddles their waist. If it's OK with you?"

Jessica nodded mutely, and Amy slowly peppered her neck and face with tiny kisses, stroked her hair and face, and then moved her hand on Jessica's back while maintaining eye contact. Looking at her Amy said, "You're stunning. Gorgeous. Your face, your eyes, your lips." And then Amy kissed her a second kiss, using a bit of tongue, first in a tease, and then with passion.

Amy wanted to gauge Jessica's reaction, so she stopped and asked, "How was it? Did you like it? Was it as good as boy kisses?"

Jessica caught her breath and paused. She replied with a very shaky voice, "OMG... You were so right about college boys not knowing how to kiss. Or do other things, like hair and face touching. Now that I know what a real kiss is like, I realize that what I did with boys was not even a kiss. Your kiss was as different from a boy's kiss as... as... a hurricane is from a drizzle."

Amy then took Jessica by the hand and took her down the hall to her home office and closed the door. Feeling safe, Amy turned Jessica so that her back was against the wall and looked at her. Moving closer, Amy told her she was beautiful, with a stunning body. Then Amy leaned in to kiss Jessica again. This time with all the passion Amy could muster. Jessica kissed Amy back, and their kiss went on for some time. Then they hugged and shared an exquisitely intimate moment.

Amy thought, "As I suspected! She's gay but doesn't realize it. And David's way too young to realize it. Tonight I'll have some serious thinking to do."

Just then they heard noises, and Amy thought they should return to the party. Not able to think, Amy said "Happy New Year" even though midnight had not yet arrived. She figured that if Jessica later thought the kiss was inappropriate, she could claim it was just a New Year's kiss that Jessica has misinterpreted.

Jessica was still in a daze from the kiss. After a long pause she whispered "Of course. Happy New Year's to you too. A very, very Happy New Year's."

After the party Amy lay on her bed wondering whether she had done the right thing. She thought about Jessica's reactions to their kissing, how Jessica kissed her back passionately, and the exact language Jessica had used. Amy decided that her hunch about Jessica being gay probably was right. Could Jessica's silence after the kiss mean she had just learned something profound about her own sexuality? Amy told herself that her goal in kissing Jessica had been to protect David. She sure didn't want him to marry someone who didn't truly love him. Although bi was fine, a lesbian couldn't truly love a man in a romantic way.

But Amy also asked herself whether this was her only motivation? She was in-between girlfriends and craved the gentleness of a woman. In no particular order Amy decided that her motives for the kiss might include seeking female touch; putting that little missy who was ordering her son around in her place; the feeling of control/power, and the pleasure of kissing an incredibly pretty young woman because this was great for her ego and confidence. But Amy convinced herself that her main motive was to prevent her son from marrying a lesbian, and that she was not interested in making Jessica into her girlfriend.

3: The lunch

Amy finally decided she needed to find out more about Jessica's reaction to their kisses. So Amy invited her to go shopping and have lunch so they could get to know each other better and "clear the air".

They met at a mall during a morning when Jessica didn't have classes and shopped until lunch. Looking over the menu, Amy asked, "If I were to have a glass of wine, please tell me I wouldn't be the only one." Jessica smiled and nodded, and they started talking effortlessly. Halfway through lunch the server asked if they would like another glass of wine. Amy responded, "We have some catching up to do. Why don't you bring a bottle? We could be here a while."

Jessica told Amy how she was deeply involved with her studies and looking forward to graduating and working in her field. They found themselves talking about her future plans and Jessica started asking Amy about her undergrad experiences and career path. As they talked, the discussion began to feel more trusted, candid, and intimate.

After Amy thought they had bonded sufficiently she steered the discussion to more personal topics. She mentioned the New Year's kisses and said they may have been created by the wine they had that day. She apologized if she went too far - and awaited Jessica's response.

Jessica said she really enjoyed the kisses. She then asked a lot of questions about Amy's past romantic experiences. She asked about how Amy's interests in women had developed? When she knew she was a lesbian? About her first time with a woman? Amy shared her stories, Jessica asked more questions, and they found themselves giggling together like girlfriends.

Amy told how she experienced her first orgasm with the coaching, encouragement, and help of her freshman roommate. Which led to experiences with older students, and also male and female professors. Amy told Jessica how she married a boy she met during postgrad, and had two kids, but gradually had less and less sex with her husband. And how she had come to realize she was lesbian, and divorced him after 20 mostly unhappy years.

Amy told Jessica that she was a product of a society that steered everyone into assuming they were straight and that she was clueless about her true sexuality until she was in her 30s. Amy advised Jessica that although she may - or may not - marry David, she should first find out and then always be true to her real self. Amy was of course implicitly telling Jessica to avoid the mistake she had made of marrying a man when she was young.

The more they talked, the more they developed a high level of intimacy. Jessica's questions switched to the present - to gauge how happy Amy was in her relationship with David. Amy asked Jessica the same types of questions she had been asked. Jessica responded that her relationship with David was great - that he was a super guy and the best thing that'd happened to her in a long time.

Then Amy asked Jessica whether she was getting her needs met by David. Jessica responded, "Only sometimes. I wish he could kiss as good as you kissed me on New Year's. I wish he could use his mouth and lips and hands like you did... in other ways as well. But he was like all of my past boyfriends. He leaves me... very unsatisfied."

Jessica's response caught Amy by surprise. Amy has meant to ask Jessica about her social and emotional needs. But Jessica responded about her physical and sexual needs.

Amy decided she had learned enough, settled the bill and asked Jessica whether she'd like to come back to her house. Jessica responded with an eager "yes".

As they waited for the Uber Amy asked Jessica in more detail about her attraction to women and her experiences with them. Jessica said she was curious about women, but that her past experiences were quick, sloppy, drunken late-night events that led to kissing and some touching, but no satisfaction.

Amy took that as her opening and pointedly asked, "You've never orgasmed with a woman? Do you think about women when you masturbate? When you're having sex with a man? Are you disappointed that your experiences with women ended like they did?" Jessica shyly lowered her head and said nothing.

Amy's questions continued, "Do you have a favorite look or type of woman that attracts you? What celebrity do you crush over?"

Jessica still was silent. Emboldened, Amy asked, "Do you find older women attractive?

The Uber arrived and Jessica didn't answer any of the questions. In the Uber Amy put her hand on Jessica's thigh, and quietly told her about a couple of experiences from when she was the younger woman in a couple.

Amy leaned over to kiss Jessica on the cheek and whispered that nothing further need happen, and they could explore at any speed Jessica liked. Amy added that she thought Jessica would love the way two women can make each other feel. Jessica said in response, "Amy, could we please try another kiss?" Amy was happy to oblige in the back of the Uber.

4. At Amy's House

After they arrived Amy got out of the Uber, held out her hand out, and helped Jessica out of the car. Amy continued to hold Jessica's hand until the Uber left and again asked, "Do you find older women attractive?'

Jessica looked down and thought for a moment. Until she softly said, "I think you're very attractive".

"I find you incredibly attractive", Amy responded, as she started to brush Jessica's hair behind her ear with her hand. They held hands as they walked into Amy's house.

After they entered Amy faced Jessica and resumed rubbing her hair. She leaned her head closer so she could bring Jessica's hair to her nose. "Your hair is so soft... and it smells great too."

Then Amy gently said, "Do you want to learn, sweetie? Want me to help teach you?"

Jessica's head slowly turned towards Amy...eyes meeting eyes. A month after their first kisses, their lips came together again. Amy felt Jessica's soft lips kissing timidly. Jessia clearly was nervous. So Amy decided to be especially slow and gentle with her.

They kissed for what seemed like ages. Amy kissed Jessica's lips, and then face, eyes, neck, shoulders, even a bit down her chest. Amy made it a point to open her eyes from time to time to watch Jessica, and saw that Jessica always had her eyes closed. Jessica was totally absorbed by being kissed by Amy, totally focusing on the kisses, no matter what part of her body Amy was kissing.

Jessica's body gradually relaxed. Jessica opened her lips to reveal her tongue - and curiously explored Amy's lips and met Amy's eager tongue. The French kissing emboldened both women and their initial tentative pecks gradually turned into the passionate and even frantic kissing of lovers.

Amy savored every moment kissing the sweet and sexy young girl not only because the kissing was so passionate, not only because she had been without a girlfriend for some time, and not only because she delighted in knowing she was initiating Jessica into the exquisite wonders of lesbian lovemaking. But also because Amy now knew for certain she had been right about Jessica's sexuality.

They finally stopped to catch their breath and looked into one another's eyes. After a moment of eye contact Jessica said, "That was incredible. I can't believe we just did that."

Jessica nodded, said, "I've been thinking of nothing else even since out first kiss" and came in for another one.

Amy was becoming quite aroused and could feel wetness between her legs. She wanted to advance where this was going but did not want to shock or surprise Jessica by moving so quickly she spoiled the wonderful occasion.

After their kissing paused they continued to gaze into each other's eyes. Amy reflected that Jessica truly was a dark haired beauty who would become for some lucky woman a great girlfriend and then wife. Keeping eye contact, Amy reached over and brushed Jessica's hair over her ear again, and ran her finger down her cheek and under her chin. Amy's fingers continued to trail down Jessica's arm until finally their fingers became entwined and they squeezed hands.
