CHAPTER NINE
"Just so you know, I packed Bruce," Sadie whispered, winking at Bree Ann as she patted the side pouch of her overnight bag.
Bree Ann couldn't help but blush, the thought of the oversized dildo attached to Sadie's strap-on harness making a sudden heat spring to life between Bree Ann's thighs. Wickedly ribald thoughts of how skillfully Sadie could wield the large gel cock making her nipples harden. Since their first night of intimacy, Bree Ann had spent many evenings in her girlfriend's condo with Sadie slicing that thick purpled dildo between her slick folds. And even now, the story of how the sex toy had gotten its name still brought a smile to Bree Ann's face.
Once the sexy blonde had made peace with her sexuality and had decided to come out to her friends and family, several of her closest compatriots had gotten together and thrown Sadie a coming-out party. "Bruce," as she'd nicknamed the strap-on, had been one of the many gifts she'd received that night. Bree Ann could still remember laughing when Sadie had relayed the tale behind the sex toy's nickname.
The first woman she'd dated regularly after that night quickly became a lover. After the pair had been intimate the first few times, Sadie dared to bring the sex toy out with every intention of surprising the younger woman. She'd strolled into the bathroom and stepped into the harness, cinching it up at her waist. Sadie had then stepped back into her bedroom and been greeted by her young lover delivering a very comical paraphrasing of the old Roy Scheider line from the movie "Jaws."
"I think I'm going to need a bigger pussy," the pretty young brunette remarked, her eyes gone big at the enormity of the sizeable faux-cock dangling between Sadie's legs.
And since the robotic shark used to shoot the movie had been nicknamed Bruce by the film crew, Sadie had only found it appropriate to nickname her strap-on accordingly.
"You're so bad!" Bree Ann remarked, slapping Sadie's shoulder playfully as she peeked over her girlfriend's shoulder where Macey sat with the twins on the playroom floor.
"And what are you three up to?" Sadie asked cheerfully as she squatted down and addressed the three children.
"Ball!" Jonathan announced with a big smile, holding up the blue football he frequently carried around the house.
"I see the ball!" Sadie replied, taking the football from the toddler's grasp and then tucking it back in against the baby's belly, causing Jonathan to laugh.
"You want to hear me read my book, Ms. Sadie? Macey asked, holding up the most recent book she'd brought home from the school library. The elementary-aged young girl had become a rabid reader since learning the skill in the first grade. She always had her nose buried in a book, a habit that her three mom's encouraged at every turn.
"Now, Macey, give Sadie a chance to get settled in. She's going to be here with us all night. So there's no reason to get in a hurry," Bree Ann softly chastized her granddaughter.
"Yes, Mimi," the pretty young girl replied before sweeping her dark hair out of her eyes, pushing her glasses up, and once again beginning to read.
"Hey there!" came the sound of a voice from the doorway behind them.
Bree Ann and Sadie turned to find the smiling faces of Skyler, Kaia, and Lisa staring back at them. The three were dressed for a night out of dinner and dancing. They'd made plans to meet with several other friends in town and booked a hotel room to prevent the late-night drive home.
"Well, don't you girls look lovely!" Bree Ann declared, standing to take in the visage of her daughter and her two lovers. "The girls at that dance club won't be able to keep their hands off the three of you."
"They can look all they want," Kaia said, "and I'll even let them buy us drinks. But anything that goes beyond a dance or two will have them facing one very angry former Marine."
"You have nothing to worry about, lover," Lisa cooed to Kaia. "You know that Skyler and I will be far too busy fawning over you and each other to be concerned with any other woman there."
"She's right, Kaia," Skyler added, leaning in to kiss the cocoa-skinned beauty's cheek. "As far as I'm concerned, the three D's are just foreplay leading up to our hotel room later."
"The three D's?" Bree Ann asked, feeling a little lost.
"Dinner, drinks, and dancing if I'm not mistaken," Sadie replied.
Skyler, touching the tip of her nose to indicate Sadie had guessed correctly, said, "And what do the two of you have planned once you get the kids to bed?"
"We'll probably just watch a movie and then turn in early," Bree Ann replied before turning to Sadie and giving her a subtle wink that the trio couldn't see.
"It would be a shame if the two of you turned in too early," Lisa remarked suggestively.
"Going to bed early doesn't necessarily mean going to sleep," Skyler said with a giggle that caused both of the twin boys to laugh as if they were in on their mother's joke.
"Alright, ladies," Kaia said, "let's leave these two to do as they please. I don't think they need any suggestions from us on how to fill their hours alone."
"Okay," Lisa replied with a roll of her eyes. "But in case you do, we have a closet full of toys up in our room that you're more than welcome to make use of."
"You did not just say that!" Bree Ann replied, with Sadie snickering behind her as the trio stepped into the room to kiss their kids goodbye
When the girls were gone, Sadie looked at her girlfriend and said, "Well, I'll admit I'm a little nervous. It's been a long time since I've spent a significant amount of time with kids as young as the twins."
"Oh, they're simple enough to tend to," Bree Ann remarked as she bent down to scoop up little Aaron. "You just make them feel loved and cared for and otherwise let them play. They'll always let you know when they need something."
"Well, why don't I just sit down here next to Ms. Macey and let her read to me from her book?"
"That sounds good," Bree Ann replied. "Aaron and I will go and put your bag in my room and be right back."
The pair spent the next hour watching the twins play with Macey getting lost in her book while Bree Ann braided her hair. Eventually, though, the boys got hungry. So while Sadie sat with the three kids, Bree Ann went and heated up the boy's supper and called the local Chinese restaurant to order food for the adults and Macey. Sadie then helped her round the two boys up and strapped them into their high chairs.
Sadie watched intently as Bree Ann fed the boys, Jonathan acting boisterous and regularly banging the tray of his chair between bites. On the other hand, Aaron sat quietly with his mouth open as if he could hardly wait for his next taste. Sadie couldn't help but marvel at how Bree Ann deftly handled feeding the two boys without allowing them to make a mess of themselves or the floor around them.
Bree Ann had just finished feeding the twins and was busily wiping their hands and faces when the front doorbell rang. Macey, hearing the bell, came running out of the playroom to greet whoever was at the door. Bree Ann had to call her off, with Sadie offering the young girl her hand in invitation to follow her to the door.
When the pair returned from the front foyer with Chinese food in hand, Bree Ann was busy taking two bottles out of the microwave and testing their temperature. She then scooped up both boys and announced that she would be back down after getting them changed and ready for bed, suggesting to Sadie that she just place their food in the warmer.
When Bree Ann returned, she found Sadie and Macey sitting at the large island. The pretty blonde had gotten out a plate and dished out a portion of rice and an entree for her granddaughter. Macey was busily eating while regaling Sadie with tales of her classmates. For her part, the sexy blonde seemed utterly enthralled with Macey's storytelling skills.
The three of them ate their meal together before doing a quick cleanup and then retreating to the family room. They allowed Macey to pick out her favorite animated movie before she wedged herself in between them and covered up with a blanket to watch the presentation with her head leaning against Bree Ann's arm. But before the movie could really get started, Macey grabbed the remote and paused the television before turning to where Sadie sat and giving the older woman an inquisitive look.
"Do you love my Mimi?"
"Macey!" Bree Ann declared in a chastising tone. "Don't be rude."
"It's okay," Sadie replied with a smile. "I don't mind answering her. As a matter of fact, I do love her. Very much, in fact."
"Are you going to marry her?"
Sadie, who'd been in the process of taking a sip of her coffee, coughed, choking a little at the young girl's curiosity over her grandmother's romantic entanglements. She looked over at Bree Ann for help, but her girlfriend only raised an eyebrow and gave Sadie a smirk that seemed to say, '
You said you would answer her questions.'
Narrowing her eyes at Bree Ann, Sadie turned her attention back to Macey, who was still studying her intently as she waited for a reply.
"Well, your Mimi and I haven't talked about that yet. We're still really getting to know one another."
Macey seemed to consider Sadie's answer as both women observed her, Bree Ann with amusement and Sadie with more than a bit of trepidation. The little girl's Mimi had known that her girlfriend was treading on thin ice when she'd chosen to engage the youngster on the topic of their relationship. After all, Macey was very protective of her Mimi.
"Well, don't you think you should?" Macey asked with interest. "My mommy loves momma Sky and momma Kaia, and she married them both. So don't you think you should marry my Mimi?"
