AUTHOR'S NOTE: This is a sequel to my previous story, What Katie Wants. It is highly recommended that you read that first for this to make sense. As with that story, this is a cheating story involving a married woman. Constructive criticism is much appreciated.

---------------
Waking up from a dream is considered a bad way to begin a story. But when Katie awoke naked in a room that wasn't hers with an ache between her legs, she knew what had happened wasn't a dream at all. She had slept with one of her new husband's groomsmen in the room next to the Honeymoon Suite where her husband was.
Katie knew she should be sick to her stomach with guilt and shame at what she'd done. But besides a small pang in her chest when she thought of Shaun, her husband, she didn't. What dominated were the waves of relief and contentment flooding through her. Days of tension and anxiety were gone. It made her want to stay cocooned in these sheets forever, nestling ever deeper into her bliss.
But that wasn't an option.
While she wasn't feeling much guilt, Katie had no desire to face Daniel, her new black lover, right then. What would she say to him? Did she
want
to say anything? She could try to ignore him and focus on her honeymoon, wait it out until he left a few days before she did. Attempts at ignoring Daniel hadn't gone well so far, and she'd still ended up in this position regardless. The conversation was inevitable but that didn't mean Katie wanted to have it then.
Not that they could've talked even if Katie had wanted to. She realised upon getting up to put on her clothes that Daniel was not in the room. On top of the clothing he'd placed on the armchair for her, she saw a note.
It said that Daniel hadn't wanted to disturb her, so he let her sleep and have some space if she wanted it. He'd gone down to the hotel bar for a drink, and she was welcome to join him. The note ended with a comment on how great a time he'd had.
Katie wasn't sure whether to be relieved or saddened that there wasn't a sign of if he wanted to have a repeat of their hookup. Almost certainly he did, though like before he was putting the ball in her court. He was always trying to put her at ease, though Katie wasn't naive enough to believe he only did so out of the goodness of his heart. He knew the way of seducing Katie was by being careful with her.
After Katie had dressed and moved to leave, she saw it was dark outside and several hours after she was supposed to be back from her trip. Shaun would be wondering where she was and the longer she took, the more suspicious he would become. Though Katie supposed it wasn't as suspicious as if she'd returned to her room straight after the sounds of sex from next door had subsided.
Guilt rose within Katie for the first time since she awoke upon reaching the Honeymoon Suite door. Now she would have to face Shaun and lie to him, act like she hadn't betrayed him in the worst way possible. She wasn't used to lying - she hated it - yet here she was drawing herself into more due to her own actions. There was no one else to blame. A deep inhale preceded Katie opening the door and putting a smile on her face that she hoped was convincing.
"Hey, honey," she said as she walked in, "sorry I'm late."
"Hey. I was beginning to worry," Shaun said from one of the armchairs, his injured foot propped up on a cushion on the table. "Bad traffic?"
He turned, and there was a small pang of guilt upon seeing his face for the first time since she'd cheated on him. It was going to take some time to get used to around him. She knew she could play it cool, she had to, but that didn't mean there wouldn't be moments of guilt or worry.
"Kinda," she responded after a pause. "We left late, then got stuck on the freeway. Then some people on the trip wanted to go for drinks." Katie may have hated lying, but the falsehoods were rolling off her tongue. The last part wasn't a complete fallacy, she just failed to mention that she'd said no to the drinks so she could have sex with his friend.
Shaun nodded his head in understanding. "Did you have a good time, though?"
Her face lit up while remembering Daniel above her and spoke without thinking. "The best." It was the first truthful thing she'd said since returning.
"Good." He sat up and swivelled more to look at her, a smirk creeping along his face. "Fancy giving the day a perfect ending?"
Katie froze for a moment, surprised by the proposition. But why should she be? Her husband had asked if she wanted to have sex on their honeymoon. It was the expected thing to do, after all. Hell, part of why she'd gotten herself into the position she was due to unreleased tension from Shaun not having sex with her.
Every moment she stood still without responding increased the likelihood of suspicion. She needed to think of an adequate response, though.
"I'm pooped after my long day," she said a few seconds later, hoping it was a convincing enough answer. "I just wanna take a shower and go to bed, if that's okay."
"Sure," he said with a smile. "It's just... A few hours ago, the neighbours wouldn't shut up and..."
This admission stumped Katie as much as the proposition. He'd, what, gotten excited by the 'neighbours' (that were really his own wife and groomsman) fucking? It was no different to her those first two nights, she reasoned. Katie got a weird feeling though, knowing that Shaun had gotten aroused to the sounds of his wife fucking. She couldn't tell if it was guilt or something else, something darker. She also knew his reaction would've been the opposite if he knew who was on the other side of the wall.
Katie reminded herself to play it cool. "Oh, you got horny? Cooped up here alone?"
Shaun gulped, looking away for a moment. "Not just horny. I..."
He didn't need to finish the sentence. Shaun had gotten himself off to the sounds Katie had caused. That weird feeling persisted, and Katie realised it was an odd curiosity about her husband's interest in her activities entwined with anxiousness and a little guilt.
"Must've been quite a show," she tried to joke.
"Oh, you don't know the half of it," he laughed. She did, of course. All too well. "The guy must've been outstanding to get the responses he did. The woman didn't stop moaning." After a second, he stopped and gave his wife an earnest look. "You're not mad?"
"Of course not. The neighbours sure are something. I didn't want to upset you, but I got off to them too. So we're equal."
"When was this?" He asked, intrigued.
"Second night here, before you got hurt."
Shaun nodded and the couple were silent for a moment before a grin spread across his face. "Sure you don't want a repeat of last night? You were a different beast."
"What over two weeks of no sex does to a woman," she smiled. "Given we got loud, maybe next door put on a bigger show as retaliation?" Shaun weighed it up in his head and nodded again. Katie, however, knew it was another half-truth. Her 'performance' had riled Daniel up and made him even more desperate to have her. He'd been very eager to show her what sounds he could elicit from her. "And yes, I'm sure. Maybe tomorrow though."
Shaun seemed assuaged so Katie left him in the suite to go shower. He didn't seem suspicious, but she couldn't risk smelling of sex beside him. As she entered, she thought it would be best to shoot Daniel a quick text and let him know she wouldn't be joining him.
>
Hi. Thanks for today, but I'm exhausted. I'm back in my room.
Humming to herself, the newlywed undressed and prepared for her shower. She stopped when she caught sight of a small, purple blob on her pulse point in the mirror. On closer inspection she saw it was a bruise. Daniel had given her a hickey, despite her explicit instructions to not leave any marks.
Taking a photo of herself in the mirror, Katie ensured that only her neck was visible. She didn't want to give Daniel any ideas. It was sent to him with an adjoining message.
>
Wtf is this? I told you no marks.
Katie washed herself, calming down while doing so. The urge to strangle Daniel subsided and Katie reasoned that she could cover the hickey well. It wasn't her first rodeo, but it was a complication she didn't need. She then dried herself and got to covering the mark.
Shaun was in bed when Katie, dressed for bed, returned to the main area. She joined him, resting on the soft mattress and looking up at the ceiling. Just as she got comfortable, a ping sounded from her phone.
Picking it up, she saw two messages from Daniel.
>
Sorry, I got carried away.
>
You didn't seem to mind much though :p
Katie rolled her eyes at Daniel's cockiness but couldn't deny he was right. It was why her anger had dissipated so fast. She hadn't gotten a hickey in years so needing to hide one was a bit of a thrill.
Moving to put the phone down, a third and final text came through.
>
Sleep well.
"Who was that?" Shaun asked from beside her.
"A friend. We talked about the trip."
Shaun nodded and the conversation stopped once more.
Lying in silence made her think about the other nights where it hadn't been silent, and what those nights had led to. It was weird to think that a few nights before Katie had lain there listening to Daniel and Ashlyn going at it. She hadn't expected for a moment that she would be the one in the next room making all the noise. Or that her husband would hear her doing it.
Then, as if reading her mind (but hopefully not), Shaun spoke.
"Sorry again for getting off to the neighbours earlier."
Katie turned towards him and smiled. "I already told you it's fine and we're even."
