A story of risk taking, humiliation, ownership, submission and tattoos. As an innocent university girl tries to fit in with a new trend. I plan to go far deeper into these areas as the story progresses and she falls deeper into it all.
This story focuses on exclusively interracial relationships, if you dont like that, you wont like this story.
------------
Jade sat cross-legged on her bed, absent mindedly scrolling through her phone. Her feed was so predictable, the latest trend would always take over her feed for a week and then disappear, never to be seen again, although perhaps not this one... All of a sudden her roommate, Mia, slammeded her hands down on the bed, practically exploding with something to say.
"Did you see Liv's post?" Mia asked, her voice tingling with excitement. Not waiting for an answer, she flipped her phone around to Jade. There was liv, smile beaming, showing off a tiny tattoo on the inside of her wrist. Just 4 characters, J.D.
"She actually did it," Jade said, raising her eyebrows.
"Of course she did!" Mia said, laughing and tossing her phone onto the bed. "Liv's been into this since the trend started. It was only a matter of time, and now look. She's got 5 names already. Won't be long before she has 20."
Jade said nothing but picked her phone back up, knowing what was likely to be on the screen. Her feed had been flooded with posts under the new #tats4whitegirls hashtag for weeks now. It had started as a niche trend, a playful thing at universities in the Netherlands where girls would sleep with a guy and get a tiny tattoo to commemorate it. But lately, it had exploded, becoming a full-blown cultural movement and almost entirely between white girls and black guys.
Every day, there were more posts, girls showing off small, hidden tattoos of initials or dates, their captions always proud and sometimes defiant.
- "Marked for life, but worth every second #Tats4WhiteGirls" from a redhead she'd met a few days ago
- "They said it's a trend. I say it's a movement #Tats4WhiteGirls" from a girl back in her home town
- "When he leaves a mark on your heart, it's only right to leave one on your skin too #Tats4WhiteGirls" from a girl she sat across from in lectures
They went on and on "Small tattoo. Big statement. Bigger love #Tats4WhiteGirls" and "He's more than just a kiss--he's history, beauty, and strength. #Tats4WhiteGirls"
The posts just went on and on and on, seemed like almost everyone at the university was getting in on it. It was incredible, so many girls sleeping with black guys and not being afraid to show it off.
"It's kind of wild though, isn't it?" Jade said.
"Wild? It's brilliant!" Mia replied, dropping onto the bed beside her. "Think about it, it's fun, it's romantic, and honestly, it's kind of hot."
Jade raised an eyebrow, struggling to contain a smirk, "You think?"
Mia grinned. "Totally. And look, everyone's doing it. Liv, Jane, half the girls on campus. You can't tell me you haven't thought about it."
Jade laughed a reply, "No I haven't thought about it."
"Not even once", Mia poked, smiling too.
Jade looked away, brushing a strand of hair behind her ear. "I mean... I've seen the posts. I guess its hard not to at all."
"Exactly. And you're 19 now! You're in college! This is the time to live a little, do something impulsive." Mia nudged her. "Besides, it's not like you've ever slept with anyone anyway."
Jade rolled her eyes but couldn't help smiling. "That makes me feel so much better, thanks for the reminder bestie..."
------------
Two nights later, at a packed off-campus party, Jade found herself sipping from a red plastic cup, feeling the bass of the music thrum through her chest. She wasn't planning to staying much longer, parties weren't really her thing and the music was sending her head funny. But Mia had dragged her along, insisting she needed to "put herself out there." She wasn't even sure that she wanted to be out there.
Jade was on her way to refill her drink when it happened.
Looking over her shoulder for Mia, she bumped straight into him. Black, deep brown eyes and a disarming smile, all the weaponry he needed to have Jade lost for words.
"You good?" he asked, steadying her.
"Yeah, erm, I, yeah sorry," she said quickly, her face flushing a deep crimson.
------------
They ended up standing there chatting for what felt like hours. His name was Marcus, he was tall, handsome and muscled. He attended the same university and she now recognised him from the football team. He had a quiet confidence that made her stomach flip every time he looked at her. By the time the conversation turned to music, Jade was already imagining what it would be like to taste his lips. Surely he wasnt really interested in her though?
And then, as if reading her mind, he leaned in.
The kiss was quick but electric, leaving her breathless and almost dizzy. Before she could stop him he has leaned in for another, now Jade felt a shiver run down her spine as Marcus's lips met hers again, the heat of his kiss spreading through her like wildfire. When he finally pulled back, his dark eyes searched hers for a sign to continue.
"You want to come back to my place?" Marcus whispered, his voice a low rumble that vibrated through her.
Jade could only nod, her cheeks flushed with excitement and nervousness.
"Is this what it is like? That was incredible. Besides it was just a kiss, maybe some touching, nothing wrong with that" she thought, unable to stop her feet from following him
She had never been with anyone before, but the way Marcus looked at her, with such desire and care, made her feel safe, made her feel desired.
At his apartment, the door barely closed before Marcus pulled her into another kiss, this one deeper, more demanding. His hands roamed over her back, pulling her closer until there was no space between them. Jade felt his hardness press against her, and a thrill of anticipation mixed with fear coursed through her veins.
