Susanne's Guest House, a resort in Scituate, Massachusetts, was located in an ocean town south of Boston on the way to Cape Cod. It was owned by an elderly couple who loved it dearly, and were warm and welcoming to all the guests who frequented the resort every year, eager to come back because of the amazing service they received. It wasn't a famous resort by any means, and more the town's best kept secret. People who frequented it were close to the staff, and usually stayed a few weeks there to get their share of the ocean and sun.
Susanne's Guest House and Cottages was situated right on the beach, and a great white porch wrapped around 3 stories of guest rooms with a restaurant and ballroom on the first floor. The guests frequented the bar and chattered around the front porch on warm summer evenings, recounting their lives when they weren't vacationing at Susanne's. The men smoked cigarettes and showed off their cars, talking about their VW Beetles and Lincoln Continentals.
The year was 1966, and the owners, who were an elderly couple hired a black man as their manager, seeing his potential and his allure on the guests. He was in his early thirties, had an athletic build, and was tall and good looking. Though wary at times, the ladies at the resort couldn't help but glance at him, giggling through long thick lashes when their husbands weren't looking.
He had been in charge of the guest house for long enough that the couple were confident in his abilities, enough that they let him alone with the guests as well as all the staff while they took a cruise around America, something they had wanted to do for a couple of years now. Though the times were changing, some guests were uncomfortable with him being in charge. In their opinion, there were much better candidates in town who were more capable of handling their exclusive clientele. This was ignored by the owners- who insisted Curtis Pryor was the most suitable for the charge, and they trusted him completely to take care of their precious resort.
1966 was the year Ruth Endicott visited the resort for the first time. She was a widow, one who was married to an abusive husband- which was unknown to her at the time. She was a shy uncertain woman, who went from her parent's house to an arranged marriage with her husband and stayed home taking care of their son, who was now 8 years old. He came home drunk every night, and was abusive when she asked of his whereabouts, causing her to quiet herself even more in order to protect her son. Last year, he disappeared one night, and the police came the next morning to tell her of the accident. She was more relieved than upset, and learned to care for the house and their son on her own ever since, visiting her family and friends at church from time to time, but mostly keeping to herself.
It had been her dream of many years to see the ocean, but after years of begging her husband for a nice family trip, he continually refused, and she had given up. This year, she was finally able to make her own decisions as a widow, and though it was a little melancholy, she decided she deserved it. It had taken her a while to fully plan the trip, but she had asked around, especially from the ladies at her church. They expressed their dissatisfaction at her wanting to travel alone with her son, but one did mention of a resort she visited a few years ago- Susanne's Guest House- which was not a very long drive and would be perfect for some rest as well as plenty of enjoyment for Jacob, her son.
Ruth was an attractive woman, around 40 years old, with short auburn hair and brilliant blue eyes. She was around 5'3 and curvy around her breasts. She was conservative about how she looked, she barely had any experience sexually with any man but her husband, only a few kisses here and there stolen behind school bleachers when she was young, and had never experienced an orgasm that wasn't from her own fingers. She felt uncomfortable under the gaze of any man, most of whom loved to look at her curvy figure, no matter how much she tried to hide it. That afternoon she wore a simple polka dotted dress and a great sun hat, and she held her son's hand as she checked into the resort, the bellhop eagerly taking her luggage for her.
"Good afternoon ma'am, how may I help you today?" The front desk worker asked. He was around 19, working there for one summer while he situated himself in life. He was very fond of the manager, and had never felt any sense of prejudice against black people. Curtis favoured the kid immediately, and promoted him from a waiter to front desk duty immediately after seeing his potential, which he was really grateful for.
"I'm checking in with my son here for two weeks." She replied, looking around at the decorations.
"Great! Let me just get your information hereβ" He started.
"Never mind that, Steve." A voice boomed, and Ruth saw a black hand gently place itself on the head of the worker. "I'll be able to help this lovely lady." He lifted her hand off the counter, and she blushed heavily.
"Excuse me, sirβ" She began.
"May I?" Not wanting to be rude, she nodded her head. He kissed her gently on the back of her hand, and she felt a shiver down her spine. No man had touched her since her husband passed, and it was bewildering to her to feel these sensations.
"You're very beautiful, miss." He simply commented. Steve was shocked by how forward he could be at times. The widow simply blushed again. "Will your husband be joining us as well?"
She cleared her throat, and looked at anywhere but him, "Unfortunately my husband passed away last year, it will just be me and my son here." She nudged Jacob, reminding both men that her son was still present.
"Very unfortunate indeed." Curtis flashed a grin, showing off his brilliant white teeth. Ruth ignored him, and went back to checking in with Steve, maintaining her composure. After they confirmed all her information, with Curtis eagerly watching the whole interaction, he offered to bring her to her room while introducing himself as the manager at the resort. Ruth couldn't contain her shock, she couldn't believe this joking black man could manage such a successful resort. She saw many upper middle class folks on her way into the resort, and couldn't fathom why they loved the place so much.
She accepted due to politeness, and he waved the bellhop forward as they travelled to her room. It wasn't the best room in the hotel, but it had two comfortable beds and a large bathtub, perfect for any guest that wanted to relax during their stay. He introduced the facilities- including the restaurant with room service, the short walk to the beach, and the staff that would be available to her 24/7 if so wished (this came with a wink on his part). He could tell he was overstaying his welcome, and wished her a goodnight before heading back to work.
The next morning Ruth and Jacob travelled to the dining hall, where breakfast was being served until 10a.m. Ruth tried not to look for Curtis, but felt a little spark of excitement when she saw him. She hadn't gotten outright attention like this from a man in a very long time, and loved all the looks he gave her. Though she knew nothing would come from this encounter, she couldn't help but fantasize a little, thinking of what he would do to her if she were his. She wondered if he did this to all the ladies at the resort- maybe it was a way for them to make money from their clients. She shook her thoughts from her head and helped Jacob with his food, trying not to look up to see where Curtis could be.
As they finished their meal, she heard a familiar voice, and saw him by the front of the restaurant, chatting with two ladies wrapped in towels who seemed to be returning from the beach for a quick meal.
"Enjoying your stay here, miss?" He asked, gentlemanly as ever.
"Oh it's been quiet the experience I must say." She replied, and giggled as she casually rested her hand on his shoulder. "We will definitely be returning next year." Ruth felt a flush of heat in her body, she wasn't sure what the sensation was, but she didn't like it very much.
The second lady giggled as well, "Oh, you're so forward Susanne, leave the poor man alone, he's mine."
"Ladies, there's enough of me to share between both of you." He replied, chuckling along with them. Ruth huffed and set her plate aside, pulling Jacob with her past Curtis, who barely managed to wave hello before she slammed the door of her room. It seemed she was correct- he was just flirting with everyone. That charming bastard of a man.
Ruth decided that she didn't care anyways, she was here to relax with her baby boy, and that was what she was going to do. She changed into her swimming attire, a one-piece conservative swimming suit that no matter how hard she tried, showed off her bosom very well, to the point where her cleavage was the only thing anyone could pay attention to. She hated it, but it was something she was used to. She wrapped a towel around herself and headed to the beach. Curtis was right- it was very close by. It took her only 10-20 steps from the front porch to find a good spot with some nice shade to lay her blanket and relax while her son ran off into the beach. "Be good!" She yelled as she drifted off to sleep.
Just a few meters away, Curtis leaned against the white wooden porch, staring at the most beautiful woman he's ever seen. He was transfixed by her. He could tell she was extremely shy, and didn't know what to do with her body, but he could feel energy radiating from her, some sort of lust that was contained deep inside he wished he could seduce out. She was so quiet he barely knew how to start with her, and he could tell she was attracted to him, which made her even shyer than usual. He stared at her curves, the rounding of her ass, moving past her belly and onto her amazing bosom. He's been with many women the past few years working at the resort, but he's never wanted one so badly.
"You okay, boss?" Steve asked, watching him as he stared at the woman on the beach.
"Fine, just seeing our guests enjoy themselves." Steve gave him a knowing glance, nodded, and went back to work.
The next morning, Ruth and Jacob sat at the same table and helped themselves to the restaurant's delicious breakfast. Ruth was looking forward to relaxing at the beach again, and she could already feel herself start a healthy glow. She had always been complimented for her smooth skin, and now it looked even smoother than usual, glowing under the fluorescent lights of the restaurant. Curtis spotted her immediately and sauntered over to her, grinning from ear to ear. "I was hoping to see you today, miss."
"You can call me Ruth, I don't mind." She replied, smiled, and went back to her meal.
"Ruth." He simply said, and grabbed a chair to sit down. "May I?" It was the second time he's said that to her, and she couldn't help but blush thinking of his lips on her hand two days ago, no matter how conservative the part was. She nodded once more.
"How have you been enjoying your stay?" He asked as he grabbed a nearby chair and sat between them.
"It's been quite amazing. I was recommended by a friend and they were very correct in their description of the place. It's not a 5-star resort, but it's so calming here. Everyone's also really friendly." She replied honestly.
