Rae fell into an easy friendship with the whole group as Kim had predicted especially with Seth as it turned out the two of them had lots in common. They shared some of the same favourite films and music tastes which saw them both hanging out together more and more when they weren't together as a group or Rae with Kim. The only person she received a frosty reception from was Becky and Rae put that down to her fitting in with the group and Seth so quickly. She was happy when Seth accepted her friendship so easily but had never asked him about his relationship with Becky. She knew they weren't exclusively dating but she knew Becky wasn't best pleased with Rae and Seth's growing friendship.
A few months later Kim propositioned her to move out of the halls of residence to get a place with her, Andy and Seth she could see no reason to refuse the offer as the four of them plus Becky already spent lots of time with each other around their lectures and the shared rent and bills would be cheaper. She had discussed the move with her dad and his opinion was that it was a good idea. Becky had already signed a lease on a tenancy with Louise and two other girls from her psychology course that she couldn't get out of, so she wasn't able to move in with them, much to Rae's secret happiness and Becky's displeasure. On the downside for Rae, she would be in constant close proximity to Seth which would be difficult. Nothing at all had happened between her and Seth past the friendship barrier they had formed but they occasionally shared lingering glances and smiles that made her flush and her heart race.
As planned they all moved into a three-bedroom flat and at first it was quite awkward what with Andy and Kim being in a relationship but over time Seth and Rae spent less time feeling like spare wheels and did more things together instead.
"Hey Seth, do you want to watch movie tonight? I feel like watching Fight Club, Goodfellas or The Devil Wears Prada" Rae asked smiling at the random third movie she had suggested.
"No sorry I have a date. You know it's hard being the world's hottest commodity, I've got to share myself. Can't disappoint the ladies" he said jokingly flopping down next to her on the sofa, not noticing Rae's face drop with disappointment. Andy had taken Kim back to meet his parents at their home for the week, so it was just the two of them.
She quickly replaced her smile "Who's the poor girl this time then?" she joked referring to the recent string of dates he seemed to be loving and leaving after brief encounters.
"Stacey Turner"
Rae knew of Stacey, she was the typical attractive, confident, Barbie lookalike with a body to die for that Seth and most other guys at college loved to go for. Laughing to herself at how stupid she felt thinking back to the night her and Seth first met, where they seemed to share some strange connection. Ha fat chance, she was not his type at all and she wasn't into one-night stands either. Fat being the operative word, well she certainly felt fat compared to the Amazonian girls Seth went for. She wasn't skinny, she had a curvy hips, a bum and boobs that she felt could do with being smaller but an overall athletically shaped figure as she went to the gym a few times a week. But, from the lack of interest from the opposite sex she figured she was not everyone's cup of tea and well...un-Stacey like.
Seth wondered what Rae was thinking as she seemed to disappear inwardly lost in her thoughts. His eyes searched her profile trying to read her thoughts, scanning over her exotic features resting upon her full lips.
